I noticed they also have the bars on the ceiling as well, I'm assuming if you want the masseuse to walk on your back? Anyway, the masseuse will get up on the table to really use their full body (nothing inappropriate!) but also they will communicate and ensure that they are applying the pressure that you want. I think my only critique is she spent a lot of time on my back and I wish she would have evened it out a bit to other parts of my body as well. read more

I'm not sure who the management of Sunny Massage is, but I hope this reaches them. My fiancé booked a 90 minute massage for me at 1:30pm today at Sunny Massage and I am disappointed and feel violated. I arrived a couple minutes before 1:30pm and I checked in at the front desk and my fiancé paid for my massage. I was brought back to a room by the receptionist who gave zero instruction and just left. I laid on the table and waited for my masseuse. A woman arrived and did not ask me any questions (normally in past massages I'm asked what areas I'd like massaged, any injuries, etc). She started massaging me and it was excruciatingly painful. I had to stop her probably 8-10 times throughout my massage to tell her it was too hard. I contemplated walking out cause it was so painful. I was extremely uncomfortable when she pulled down my underwear. I quickly pulled them back up and she pulled them back down. She massaged my butt which was inappropriate. In all my years of getting a massage nobody has ever done that - nor should anyone ever do that. The masseuse also got on the bed I was lying on and when I was face down was straddling me. I'm not sure if I need to file a police report or not. I feel completely violated and upset with this experience. Not only do I feel bad my fiancée wasted his money, I'm also home and noticed all kinds of bruising down my back. This is not okay and somebody needs to be made aware. I'm kind of torn here because I wanted to give a 5 star based on the massage experience itself. It was probably the best massage I have gotten. However when the massage was over and I head to the front to give her the tip she earned for doing such a great job she stormed past me very angrily and slammed a small water into me as she passed. I was very thrown off by this and questioned ito myself if it was something I did but I know I didn't do anything besides say thank you at the end of my massage. Went to Sunny Massage this weekend and I had the exact same experience as Katie R. No questions regarding the massage like normal including sore muscles or injuries. I had to tell them too hard many times. Underpants pulled lower than what I wanted. At other places, if you don't mind your butt being touched you take off your panties/underwear; otherwise, they should not go lower than your panty line. Went for a 2 hour massage. Started of ok. She literally worked on my back and neck for 1 hour and 45 minutes before finally going to my legs. 20 minutes into the massage she sneezed all over my back not once not twice but 3 times. Don't know what she was doing once she started on my back of my legs. But she literally farted. I heard sorry sorry sorry at least 4 times. I'm a 4'11" Asian woman. I don't shy away from it but some masseuses think I'm joking when they see me and I tell them that. I don't know if they think I'm going crumble but some masseuses only get to medium pressure. Sunny massage masseuses? Deep pressure on my back. Every. Single. Time. That's why I keep coming back. The consistency on their pressure has been really helpful in this WFH world we live in. There's one or two times that they could've gone a lot harder on my forearm and hands (hellooooooo carpal tunnel) but really that's my fault for not telling them on the spot. Most of the time they're available on the same day to book but sometimes they don't answer the phone or my voicemails. Completely understandable though because they're probably booked up. I don't hold it against them. I don't know what style they're doing. I keep trying to figure it out but I don't think it's a set type. Still feels great through. They even have those rails that they can hold on to in the ceiling so they can walk on you for extra pressure. Overall: I wish they had more deals for people who buy more in a pack like what they did for Christmas with the Buy 3 get 1 free but hey I'll just wait for when they do. I've been here three times over the last few years. The people here do not understand anatomy or follow the muscle tissue like a trained massage therapist. It's more of a rubdown, with deep pressure pushing on muscles and walking on you. It is frustrating how they rub against the opposite of how the muscle tissues flow. I've had massage for thirty years including deep tissue, Swedish, Thai, and Ashiatsu. The massages I've received here feel like the people are winging it. Also, they don't speak English. Second, I asked for firm pressure and had the firmest massage I've ever experienced - Sherry worked out all my knots. A couple things to be aware of for a first timer - you pay up front, including tip (if on card) or you can pay cash tip after. They offer a $3 discount if you pay all in cash. Most everything was fully booked, but we called Sunny Massage and they were able to get us in for a 30 minute foot massage and 90 minute full body massage for a party of 3 within 2 hours time! We arrived and paid for the massage and were immediately taken back for our foot massage. The lady who did my foot massage was amazing. That part alone made me feel so relaxed. Then we went into our rooms for our fully body massage and she worked on my back forever. It was intense for sure, but I tried to tough it out because I figured I needed that much pressure. I certainly did because the picture I included is from Monday (9/5/22) compared to Saturday (9/10/22). That part of my neck has been so swollen and painful for months. I have been here twice. The first time was ok, but this time was better. The reason why I returned is because of the reviews on Yelp (which made me second guess my initials experience). The massage therapists are ok, but I think they could be trained to massage slower and deeper. There's a lot of fast rubbing motions for a deep massage, and I think they can do a better job at pushing down on the pressure points. I also HATE laying down on a paper towel that covers the headrest area. I won't be returning anytime soon, but I wish them the best. read more
