Super disappointing service :( went in excited to get my nails done for the first time in years and left upset and ripped off. Extremely standoffish and unfriendly staff. The man was extremely rough with my arms and hands and raised his voice at me multiple times. The "massage" portion of the manicure was so rough and jerky that he hit my elbow into the table multiple times, my boyfriend who was watching from the front thought he was "disinfecting my arms" and I think that tells you everything you need to know when pushing back my cuticle he was extremely rough as well. Wasn't spoken to or made eye contact with the entire time. As someone with anxiety this was the most stressful experience ever. Besides all of that, the nails themselves are messy and unprofessional. As someone without any training at all, I could easily do a better job at home. Save your money and go somewhere where they'll treat you like a human! read more

I used to recommend Sunny to everyone. My daughter & I came in & he made her bleed 3 TIMES, never apologized once. He also was "too busy" to paint her nails the way she wanted, but then sat & watched tv immediately after. I returned to give MY pedicurist her tip (that I didn't know my daughter forgot to include in her tip), & " too busy" Sunny was still sitting & watching tv 15 minutes later. Maybe just a bad day??? I have previously recommended him to ALL my visiting friends He never smiled once this day. But I won't be back. This visit just made me too sad. My daughter can rarely visit, I wanted to treat her. I have gone to Sunny Nails for years. Have followed Sony to different locations. A couple of months ago he hit my skin accidentally with his electric file. I jumped and he was obviously aggravated. Sadly during same visit it happened again and due to reaction, jumped again. Sony was again noticeably aggravated. I kept going in but he no longer had conversations with me. His charges for a fill would go up if he replaced a tip or cut/filed nails down. Today did nothing extra but still raised the charge. When I questioned he yelled saying he has told me before and ranted! I feel as a longtime customer I do not deserve this type of treatment. I'm from out of town but my sister lives here and always tells me how great they are here... she's 100% accurate! First, the staff is such a pleasure. They are friendly, funny and you can carry a genuine conversation with them. A key for me is they never once pressured me to upsale. I wanted regular polish, not gel and not once did they try to convince me to go with gel. (In my experience with nail salons, that's rare) Second, the store is very well kept. Clean and organized. Great atmosphere in general. Third, I am very pleased with the work they did. They took my party of 5 pedicures and took their time on each one of us even though it was close to closing time. I arrived and sat down with Sonny, he took the time to listen to what I was thinking I wanted in regards to shape and color. However, once I proceeded to sit down I was asked to pay for my service before they even got started. Then he filed down my broken acrylic.. Just went to Sunny Nails and Spa to use a certificate I got for my birthday. All I wanted was a quick eyebrow wax. The woman dismissed me and said "oh no we don't have time for anyone. You have to come back". There were two people working, and the other three women in there were being helped. No one was waiting. An eyebrow wax takes 3 minutes. Have only been once, but my friend SWEARS by this place. I went in on a scorching day, and and it was nice and cool inside. The massage chairs are much nicer than other places and don't feel like they are beating you up, or wiggling you so violently that it might be a challenge to complete your toe polish. VERY reasonable price. Sunny did my pedi, and toes weren't tender the next day. Good selection of polishes. I'll see how they do with nail art next visit. Not only was I able to book appts for my friend & I last minute, but when I called just before they opened (didn't leave any type of message), my phone call was returned promptly. I was impressed before even stepping foot inside! Not only was I happy with the results, but I have a touch of OCD & Sonny (who is also the owner) paid very close attention to every last detail, asked periodically throughout if I was ok, happy & satisfied, and has a great personality. If I could rate this place higher, I would. Being I've only gone once, I can't speak for all of the nail techs but I now have my go-to place for my regular gel manis & periodic pedis... And OMG the massages- glorious!!! I didn't catch the name of the sweet woman who did my waxing, but that service was also very impeccable, quick and flawless. I can't think of a place I've ever had waxing done where they haven't missed a hair here & there (remember, I'm a bit OCD). There isn't a single thing I could possibly critique. The prices are reasonable for fantastic service!! And they don't quote you one price & charge another, like so many others do. They fill up quickly and for good reason, so I'd recommend calling ahead- although, they do accept clients on a walk-in basis as well.
