I came in to get a structure gel manicure. V did my nails and was amazing. She was gentle and made recommendations as to what product I should get based on my nail type. This place comes highly recommended. My only complaint is the client sitting next to me who wrote a negative review that is not warranted. I have gone to sunny nails 3xs and all 3 times they did a great job I will not knock that they are good at what they do. All 3xs I've loved my nails so I kept telling myself just one more time maybe if was an off day, but all 3xs that I have gone in I felt un welcome and like a bother. Called for an appointment and got one immediately! (called at 12:30, got one for 2:00). walked in a few minutes early and got seated immediately! ladies were so sweet and made sure i got exactly what i wanted. the appointment only took an hour! before walking in, i was really worried. i had just moved to salem a few months ago and didnt want to go to a crappy nail salon. i was really skeptical at first, due to the mixed reviews on this place, but they turned out great!! masks are required and they have those protective plastic wall things as well! what's also great is that they aren't chatty until you start a conversation, so if you're an introvert you can comfortably sit in silence! this is definitely going to be my go-to place from now on! read more

I liked the shape of my nails but the work was not good. There is gel all on my skin and cuticles. Not one nail was done without gel on my skin and cuticles. Some of my nails are missing color on the sides. I also wasn't given a new file and buff. A used one was used on me which is gross. Usually if you don't bring your own you get a set and they charge extra which is way better than getting a used one. From a distance my nails look great but up close it looks terrible. read more

After taking a break from nails I was excited to finally get a full set put back on! I called and asked what the price was for a full set of plain black acrylics and was quoted $30. Upon arriving the price on the board also stated $30 for acrylics. When it came time to checkout I was told it would be $46 because they used color. I don't feel that $16 is fair to add some color without nail art on top of a set, but oh well. Glad I brought my card with me and not exact change (and tip) I didn't see any signs about color being an additional $16 either. But all and all, my nails were good, my technician was fast, and my appointment was right on time. The place is clean and simple, but I really can't get past paying nearly $20 more than I was expecting. I would still recommend this place, but warn you that pricing may be more than expected upon checkout. *the owner responded to my review on google letting me know they usually do shellac over the acrylics and then an additional $5-6 for nail shaping. I went to get my nails done with a couple friends on Saturday morning. I got a plain white gel manicure and so did one of my friends. When I got home from my formal that night my nails had this orange-yellowish color on them. It looked like it was my makeup that got rubbed off. So I tried rubbing alcohol, nail polish, and dish soap to get it off and nothing worked!!! As I looked closer at my nails it looked liked whatever was on my nails only affected the top coat. So I thought that was interesting, as if just the top coat somehow changed color. I asked my friend who also got white gel nails if her nails looked okay and if she has seen that before. It was all new news to her and her nails looked fine! The next morning as soon as they opened, I went in to show them what happened less than 24 hours later. All he said was, "oh yeah you have to be careful with white nails. The types of lotions, chemical cleaning products, and tanning lotions can do that." I told him that I hadn't used tanning lotions or cleaning products since getting them done. There was no warning as to what could happen to my nails if they came in contact with certain products. No sign, no verbal notice, nothing. It was my first time getting white nails, so how was I suppose to know that? He told me I could schedule an appointment to get them redone. I was under the impression that I wouldn't have to pay to fix it, but I was wrong when I got back. I would have to pay to redo them or pay to have them removed all together. I come to this salon pretty regularly, because they're open on Sundays where most are closed. They choose to be closed on Mondays instead. The strip mall that they're located in has a lot of convenient parking. I find this salon to be cleaner than most. I tend to gravitate towards the lower price ranged easy accessible nail salons because of my work schedule. They always seem to have someone available. I wear plain nail manicures. I took my daughter and myself to the nail salon today for a girls day to get our nails done my nails turned out OK they're not the greatest but they're not bad to where it's a valid complaints but definitely could step it up a bit all of them bubbled underneath the clear polish and that's quite annoying especially when you're paying $55 for a set of nails my daughter got a set of nails done and she got it with a nude undertone with black French tip and she got them pretty long all of her nails were off centered super curved like she literally had claws on her that could scoop ice cream and the black polish wasn't even on the sides of the nails they were not painted and that's just unacceptable when you're paying $70 for a set of nails. So I called them to let them know how I felt and that they needed to refund me they insisted that I came in for them to see the nails and remove them I said I don't have time for that please just go ahead and refund me my money and they said sorry but you have to come in so we turned around we went back in they looked at the Nails. I got refunded and then he insisted that they took them off right then and there when I made it very clear that I don't have time for that and I need to get my daughter back to school he took the nails off and literally let her walk out with glue and uneven nail beds and couldn't even file her nails down and clean them up prior to us walking in her nails were in good shape they gave no cuticle care no nothing the female that was working on her nails didnt even speak a word to her besides asking her what length and shape do you want. So with that being said yes I got my refund yes they removed her nails but either way unacceptable and I won't be returning especially for that price when I can go to another salon that is going to take the time and actually make sure that your nails are done correctly I will spend the extra money. I usually do 'walk ins' and rarely make appointments but have never had to wait more than 5 minutes. Their nails are good quality and last a long time.
