We've tried Bobby's a few times. It has a great breakfast and lunch. This is slowly becoming a family favorite for us. It's not a big place and almost has the vibe of being a dive but food is great. They are famous for their Bobby burger which is huge. We haven't tried it but our first time there the table next to us had ordered 4 or 5 of them. Monstrous!! Our go around on this trip was breakfast so we ventured to the biscuits and gravy with eggs and sausage Pattie's and hashbrowns. Craving catfish and heard all good things about this place. Unfortunately my leg is in a cast so asked for to go orders and for my husband to pick up. He left the customary 20 percent tip. Well it was not what I expected based on all the glowing reviews. The catfish was good enough but the rest of the sides were barely edible. The fries tasted like it had been sitting all day and microwaved, so were the hard and dry hush puppies. The beans were tasteless and mealy. We don't plan to return as there are better options. I gave them two stars thinking possibly better to eat there and not take out, otherwise they don't care about quality and give you left overs. read more

Drove through Arkansas and had to stop for lunch. Did a quick search and found Bobby's Cafe in North Little Rock. The unexpected theme of our cross country trip was 'mom and pop', small business, owner operated. Our server was the epitome of southern hospitality and kindness. Tried the Bobby Burger and was impressed with the size and quality. A customer saw the reaction on my face and said that she wished she had her phone ready to take the picture. Staff were incredible. Went on a Friday and boy were they busy. The fish must have been good. We aren't rich ppl. I had the country fried steak, partner had half Taco salad. I will Say Tony fried steak did not taste freezer burnt, but it certainly wasn't a home cook kind of thing. The half taco salad was all all chips and a tablespoon of taco Meat. I had read such good reviews so take Mine with a grain of salt. My favorite food is a country fried steak. I try to find a good one about twice a year. I'll keep looking. The Bobby Burger is ridiculously big. I knew it was big; but it's a full pound burger with a salad on it and a half loaf of bread bun. Plus Bacon and cheese. The sandwich is so big it's hard to get all the toppings in one bite. You might have to add more condiments on the other side of the burger... they mayo is too far away! I probably won't order it again, there's no hope of wanting dessert or even the chips that come with it. Share it with someone. I love Bobby's Cafe. The atmosphere is casual, the breakfast meals are always well done, cooked as requested, and the prices are very reasonable. Especially, in light of the increase for the cost of eggs. NO, Bobby hasn't raised his prices. My favorite waitress is Debby. She recognizes when it's time to let me visit with my guest, (2 old guys!) and she always has a wonderful smile on her face, in a cheery disposition. Give Bobby's a try. We stopped in to grab some food. They had catfish and burgers among other things. Me and my husband grabbed the catfish. It was so good and the portions are big! My kids went with burgers. Found this out of the way diner because of the high Yelp reviews. Staff is friendly. However, our food was way too salty, and I'm southern and love well-seasoned food. What a great recommendation from my friend! Very casual mom & pop place! My son got the regular cheeseburger with onion rings and I got the regular cheeseburger with fries. The patties are for sure made to order! The burgers were awesome, the fries were my favorite type, the seasoned crispy outside and tender inside. Service was on the spot! A guy came in and gave a disdained, "Awww, man!" When he found out they had sold out of their special of the day---so I'm going to have to come in there earlier and try it! The hours are a bit unusual; they're only open for breakfast and lunch on Tuesday and Wednesday, and they're open all day on Thursday and Friday.
