JUNE 16. 2020 -- Edwin and Mauricio of Sunny Windows showed up today with new face masks on, booties and clean work gloves. They kept their tool bag outside my door. One man did the work, the other man distanced and stayed in the hall to go down to the truck for parts. They replaced the old and rusty window balances in 2 of my aluminum windows. It is really frustrating when you have multiple phone calls and texts with a service provider when you are desperate for help, they say they will show up the next day to help you, so you stop contacting other people. Then they don't show up and don't respond for days when you reach out to follow up until you mention yelp. Then they say they never said they would show up they just 'suggested it'. They were super busy but made sure to fit us into their schedule to get it done promptly! They came to measure and gave us a free quote while other companies tried to charge us a high fee for simply "will try to fix but no guarantees". I ordered a window shaft and the fixing of broken window track from them. The ordering and scheduling of an install day took a little bit of time, about 2 weeks since they came for an estimate, which I think is normal. They first came to my apt here in the UES and gave me an estimate for 3 windows without charge. I ended up only doing 2 windows and they were always very flexible and accommodating. When they came to install they were pretty fast, professional and seamless. The overall price was very reasonable considering we are in the UES.
