My iPhone's Siri brought me here after looking at a house in the area. It's hard to screw up breakfast and they didn't, but it wasn't exceptional. If you have the option of cooking breakfast yourself or eating here--- turn on the gas because it's really not worth the time or money. It's not bad, but eh. The servers are nice and it has a "country-kitchen" feel. I can see older folk, vacation in the area, to really enjoy it. It was fine, quiet and bright. It was reasonably priced. It did take a while for us to be waited on and served our food--- I think that's because it was a bit packed. If you are out of eggs and orange juice and under 30, like me, try it out, you won't be sad. However, if you have the time, keep looking. If you are retired and looking for a regular breakfast-joint, you'll feel right at home-- I think you are their target clientele. read more

I happened upon this little place while driving my Mom back from an appointment in Rochester. Let me first say I was a bit skeptical, other places we've been to along this road were very disappointing to say the least, but low and behold I think I've found the "diamond in the ruff"... I had the Irish (eggs) Benedict and Mom had her blueberry pancake, let me say that our server (Christine) was exceptional; her customer service with my Mom was very friendly and attentive, she didn't let the coffee run dry...my benedict was dead-on and Mom spoke of her pancake all the way back to Brentwood. Full disclosure - I have known the owner for 25 years (OMG), and though we have not seen each other often, I consider her a dear friend. Sunny's is charming. The decor is subtle and easy on the eye. The food was terrific. I had breakfast - an omelette with bacon, hash browns, and toast. Everything was very tasty - particularly the omelette, which was fluffy and hot, and had just the right amount of ham and cheddar. My family loves coming here for breakfast. The pancakes are HUGE. My husband always makes the mistake of ordering two and bringing a lot home. I generally eat vegan so I opt for lots of the home fries which I certainly don't complain about. They are so good. The fruit cup is fresh and another item I usually get. The staff is super sweet too I only wish I they had a few vegan options like veggie sausage, tofu scramble, etc. read more

No frills, just good food. We stopped for lunch on our way to the coast. Just a mile or so south of the Lee traffic circle. Easy to find, good parking. Excellent breakfast! I had breakfast on a Monday morning here. Our waitress was super busy as there was a large party and she was the only waitress. Last weekend my daughter and I stopped for a bite to eat after my granddaughters lacrosse game. I travel by Sunny's twice a day and have never tried eating here. Food was delicious! Stopped in for the first time today (Sun) at about 12:30. Restaurant was busy with a 15 minute wait. Reality was that tables were waiting to be cleared for 10-15 min. Should have been a tip off. Seated and ordered 1 pancake and Florentine Benedict. Watched tables around us for 40 minutes sit and wait for food. Two folks next is finally got their order. Entire meal ( 5 separate plates) was cold. They got up and walked out. We waited 45 min for what amounted to a poached egg and 1 pancake then we got up and left. The review from the guy about slow, sloppy and poor service is dead on. Will never be back. read more

Our first visit was the Sunday after they opened and it was incredibly packed. It has become my favorite breakfast spot in the area. The food is fantastic, the coffee is always fresh, and the atmosphere is wonderful. They recently started serving dinner on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings. We have tried quite a few different offerings and nothing has been less than good with the majority being outstanding. Definitely stop by and give it a go. Sunny's is a adorable little diner with a good breakfast. We have been here many times. I am particularly fond of the country breakfast..being a southern girl I NEED my biscuits and gravy lol. Ive only had one negative experience there where My husband had ordered a plate that he was very excited for (something like pulled pork with eggs). The waitress had waited about 30-45 minutes!! to tell him they where out..and to pick something else. needless to say he was not a happy camper. he ended up picking something he did not even want. It just should have been dealt with sooner honestly. (I mean how hard is it to tell the person right after you realize its out of stock for the day?) My husband is a exceptionally generous with gratuity..however that day he was not. I know we will be back..but it might take a bit to win my husband over. read more

My daughter and I went here for lunch yesterday and had a really great meal. I will admit I was a bit skeptical about going after driving by a few times, it doesn't really look super appealing. But a friend of mine had recently tried it and had really great things to say. Upon entering we were warmly greeted and found the space to be very clean and cozy. The restaurant was very nicely decorated for Christmas. Tasteful, not too much, and again, clean. There is a bar space to the right with seating at the bar as well as about 8 small tables. To the left is the main dining area with several booths as well as tables. Our waitress was very good, and considering how busy she was with 4 other full tables to wait on all by herself, I was impressed. She was very attentive and helpful. I was with my 4 yr old daughter and we have a few more requests than the average diner - crayons, extra napkins, a cup with a straw and a lid. She was on top of everything. My daughter ordered the homemade macaroni and cheese and I ordered the turkey club. I had a choice of chips, fries, sweet potato fries, or onion rings. I chose the sweet potato fries. My daughters food arrived piping hot and with a thick slice of "Me and OIlie's" garlic cheese bread that had been toasted. She devoured the noodles and I also tried them - excellent. Creamy, cheesy noodles cooked perfectly. This was NOT a re-heat. I found my food to be excellent as well. My sandwich was perfect. One of the best turkey club's I've ever had. They used REAL turkey too, thick slices. Not that gelatinous deli style turkey that tastes more like water than real meat. Prices were reasonable and the restroom was also quite clean. We will definitely be back. Sunny's is open for breakfast and lunch. read more

two stars might be a bit generous, but whatever. it was busy, which is why i had to get menus for ourselves. the waitstaff was perfectly friendly and helpful, thats one thing i will say. i was actually excited for greasy spoon diner coffee, but this was like hot water with coffee flavor in it. the food was okay, except we think they used something like sweet italian sausage in the biscuits and gravy, which is just weird. we ordered a side of corned beef hash, and what came was the weirdest hash ive ever seen in my life. it was a pile of uncooked potatoes, overloaded with onion, and a bunch of shredded corned beef. the hash wasnt fried up at all like you would expect it to be. very unnappetizing to look at, i didnt even try it. glad i finally tried sunny's after three years living here, so now i never have to go back. read more

Well, we tried to have a nice breakfast. We did have a large party with 4 adults and 4 children however I have NEVER EVER IN MY LIFE been treated like a leper when walking in to a restaurant. It was "seat yourself" but since we had a large party we were trying to figure out how to sit. The nasty jerk of a waitress said the largest table was for 6 and 8 of us can't sit there. So, we wanted to slide a small table over to make some room for the 8 of us but we were asking how we could configure a seating arrangement. Instead of offering even a glimmer of help she just went about her business being an idiot and left us standing there although she did make a few comments about how we couldn't fit. Well, Sunny- I guess you don't need or want the business of a paying group of customers. Most real restaurants with decent human beings for servers will actually seat a party of 8, so I will take my hunger and money there! read more

This is a fantastic breakfast place. Tracy was delightful, friendly, accommodating, and attentive. Best french toast I've ever had, my dad raved about the eggs benedict. Even on a busy Saturday morning we were seated and served basically right away. Highly recommend!! Only problem is that it has Pepsi, but they didn't give me a hard time about smuggling in my diet coke, which was appreciated. So, problem solved. read more

Have been twice in last week , hoping first time was a fluke having heard so many pleasant reviews but alas not so .Saturday ( Veterans day )our food was not correct and order was just so long getting we ate it . I went again today with my sister and we ordered French toast and hash on the side , the French toast was thick cinnamon bread which neither of us wanted ( was not given option ) and very hard we could eat only one half slice each and the hash was just hash browns with meat thrown in .Very disappointed have enjoyed the restaurant in past but new name is deceiving . read more

Great little place to have breakfast. The waitstaff was very friendly, and they serve breakfast until noon. When you're driving out to the Christmas Dove, this is the best place to stop for breakfast beforehand. The plates come pretty full of food, and I watched the waitstaff go the extra mile more than a few times on our table and those around us, which makes for a very happy and comfortable setting to enjoy breakfast. read more

Fantastic find! We are traveling in NH in our RV. They had room to park it, great waitstaff, a cozy ambiance, different kinds of mimosas, bloody Mary's, pancakes bigger than your plate and eggs to die for. We were extremely pleased and will go again when we come back through. read more

Sunny's is a great place for breakfast. The classic French toast was thick, delicious and cooked perfectly. With a dose of real maple syrup (which does cost extra, but it's totally worth it!) it's hard to beat. Their pancakes cover the entire plate. The bacon was good quality and cooked to perfection. I went to Sunny's for breakfast and it was very good. Went on a Sunday morning, we were able to get 2 seats at the counter, as there was a wait for tables. The restaurant was very busy but our waiter was timely in taking our drink order and food order. He was personable but not obtrusive. I ordered a sauce and cheddar omelette which was good, a side of baked beans which were good and wheat toast which was very good. My wife ordered pumpkin French toast which was excellent. The prices were extremely reasonable, especially for the amount of food they serve. The waiter refilled our drinks as soon as he noticed they were low without us having to flag him down. What a great find! We were riding motorcycles from Massachusetts yesterday and got hungry for lunch and decided to stop somewhere along the way. We saw Sunny's and it looked good so we stopped. Glad we did! It was a Sunday and they were only serving Breakfast all day...the food was delicious!!! I had the sausage Benedict and my boyfriend had the western omelet.
