I have always been very skeptical about chiropractic services and have opted for physical therapy and massages to address my recurring back pain, but I decided to give chiropractic services a shot based on my coworkers' recommendation and after yet another episode of me waking up in excruciating back/muscle pain on one side of my upper back and not being able to move. Even a very experienced massage therapist (of 40 years!) who tried to work out my knots said I was in bad shape. I did an initial consult with Dr. Wilson at Sunnyvale Chiropractic Group over the summer and he was upfront with me that 1) depending on my situation I may not be a good candidate for chiropractic services (i.e. I may be referred for surgery instead), 2) if it turns out (from my x-rays) that chiropractic services CAN help my condition, then if I go with him, it would be totally out of pocket since he doesn't take insurance. I was eligible, and indeed he is expensive, on the order of many $k for a multi-month treatment package (instead of paying per visit), but after going through the first 3 months of adjustments consistently, I was already seeing results -- I was no longer having the back pain that I used to have. And bonus, my headaches also went away! Recently I caught a bad cold/flu, and typically it takes me about 2 weeks to recover, but this time it only took me a few days. Another bonus -- stronger immune system -- which Dr. Wilson told me could happen when we started treatment back in the summertime. Dr. Wilson is very experienced, he's seen a lot of different patients, a lot of different cases. While his costs are high, I do appreciate that he's very upfront about the costs and what's included in these costs, and he gives me frequent updates about the progress of my care/treatment/recovery. I also love that the front desk staff who manages all the scheduling (it used to be DJ, but now Trinh) is very friendly and accommodating. Additionally, the location is convenient -- plenty of parking! I've seen the positive results for myself, and I've recommended him to my colleagues and friends already. Called as a very first time patient, need an adjustment every 2 months as I go to the local UFC gym, I have Kaiser insurance and have always paid Chiropractor out of pocket for alignments. Usually it's 90-130 USD, they wouldn't even disclose how much would the alignment be or even the visit. Ive no problem paying more, but prices should always be discussed these are deceptive business practices, what if what I need is $700? Am I supposed to be stuck with the bill after the initial consultation? Shame on this group and Chiropractor - DISCLOSE YOUR PRICES EDIT: since they replied, worth noting that every Chiropractor in the whole of Sunnyvale discloses their pricing, that this group doesn't - it's their own thing. Not listing or not being transparent with pricing is deceptive 100%, surely adjustments have a price and if I "needed" more then that can be discussed at length. Could not recommend them less, it's obvious from their rating they don't care Even to their reply: "every gym, dentist" and so on have always told me how much something is going to be beforehand, my dentist office is right next to them, they are always up-front with their prices for each procedure and this is standard practice on every business. When I first came to Dr Wilson I had daily pain in my upper shoulders/neck, mid back, and left hip. I am thankful to Dr Wilson as I don't have these areas of pain anymore. I also find that with weekly chiropractic care I recover more quickly after a rough week at work as a Health Care Professional lifting patients or strenuous workouts. I went to many other Chiropractors and didn't receive the same positive results I've received thus far. I fully trust Dr Wilson as he has been a Chiropractor for over 20 years of experience and is a specialist in the spine. I had a knee injury 10 years ago while doing basic military training. I had several relapses and the injury had spread to the hip; it upsets me because I want to be active, I am only 27 but can't walk more than 2 miles at a time. I think this chiropractic has given me the most relief compared to my orthopedists, physical therapists, and pilates classes (or at least them alone). This is because it has put my body into balance: my body is no longer leaning to the left (a scoliosis) and slightly to the front (a lordosis), which had put too much strain on my left knee and hip. I am now confident to go back to my pilates classes, knowing that I won't put unequal strain on my left knee and that the training would finally train the right muscles. I actually had been sceptical about chirotheraphy because of my dad's experience. But I think Dr. Wilson made me trust chiro again: - He started with an x-ray! I wouldn't let anyone do anything with my spine without knowing exactly how it looks like. - It was gentle. Only 2 mins each (I have 5 misaligned discs), 3-4 times a week, spanning 3-4 months. There was no painful alignment, only gentle ones. And I appreciate that it was performed over a long period of time; I get to learn and memorize the feeling of how the spine should be so I can keep the right posture. - He can explain matters in great detail. I am happy that he can answer even the minute detailed question about my spine/posture. - I appreciate talking with the receptionist, they made me feel comfortable while waiting for my turn and kindly reminded me of my appointments. Yes it costs quite a bit (well... not as much as a surgery though..) and there are days where you feel like it's not moving fast enough. But at the end of the day I'm happy that I've decided to do this, so I thought let me share my review here :). read more

Dr. Wilson is super approachable, knowledgeable and when you ask a question (or in my case many) he has an air of calm, unrushed patience and desire to help you understand. Each time I've come here, he's been friendly and professional and never seems hurried. He also always remembers what's going on with me and never seems to mix me up with anyone else. I didn't know how much I needed this place until I realized what it felt like to walk around without chronic back pain! As a former collegiate athlete, and mother of 2, my body has has been through a lot of trauma. I walked around daily with chronic lower back pain which impacted my sleep and overall health. Dr. Wilson truly helped me. I started going mainly for a stiff neck and a tingling pain that was becoming constant. But I also had back and hip pain, that weren't chronic, but I never knew when the pain would flare up or for how long. The X-rays Dr. Wilson took of me showed some ruptured discs, and part of my vertebrae becoming dangerously close to fusing together. So he put me on an aggressive schedule for the first 4 months. I can't say exactly when I started feeling better, but by 4 to 6 weeks, the constant neck pain was gone, and my back and hip stopped acting up. It's been almost 2 years since the first visit and I'm still feeling great. Latest X-rays show ruptures mended, and the vertebrae that was close to fusing have moved further apart, so the overall shape of my spine is more normal. read more

I would stay away from them, they may be a chiropractic service but more scam than help. I went to a lot of chiropractors no one scared me to death more than this Dr. Wilson. Unluckily met him and his assistant at the local park event and he offered to do more consultation for a 49$ deal for 2 visits. Took appointment 1st time he did Xray (god knows why) for the pain area. 2nd appointment, they made me watch their video and Wilson came in started saying there is a serious issue with my body that he found out in my Xray he kept on saying a lot of stuff that you cannot sit, walk or run if you don't get this treatment worth 5000$. As a fool, I listened and agreed for treatment but I had second thoughts about this deceiving guy and that friendly staff. I was on my 1st treatment, he started forcing me to pay minimum half the amount to block other appointments and end up paying even though I did not have money use my cc just because I got scared with all the scam brain wash he did. Meanwhile, I went to my primary care physician (who holds MD) and a genuine chiropractor (who is not behind money) they told us no doctor takes X-ray unless you have a serious problem and it can cause radiation damage to the body if taken more times. They told us to stay away from such kind of people. No doctor will be behind money rather than worrying about his treatment to the patient. Later, I could not get all my money back he cashed out and over-charged me for nothing, sent me a cheque for remaining amount. I was so glad I am out of this scam. It feels bad that there are people who cash out by deceiving their patients. Never trust them. Always go to Primary care physician and go to PT. Terrible service, terrible experience. After visiting this location, waiting in the lobby for some time when no one else was in there, I was told the doctor is ready for you, went into a back room to watch a video, then once the video ended waited again for some time until the doctor say me. He then explained the same thing about 3-4 times with the same answer to my variety of questions. They then took X-rays. Told me to talk to the front about setting another appointment to review them. Why not now? I needed to reschedule my appointment as I had a business call pop up, I gave them ample notice. Then when the second appointment date came up I called to inform them that I was sick and didn't want to bring that to their office since someone close to me became I'll with covid. During this call I was told "why don't you get tested and call us back to reschedule an accurate date" ok thanks for being understanding. I recover, not covid, and call back to reschedule, I was told we have decided to not see you any longer as you have rescheduled twice. We will email you the x rays. Now what am I supposed to do with just x rays? She said you can take them to another facility. Now I'm sure any other facility would just take their own X-rays all in one. Absolutely unheard of. If you need any type of chiropractic work or consult DO NOT GO HERE! Take your business somewhere else, there dr. Heyo all. Now, to preface, I've worked in warehouses my entire life, genuine backbreaking labor. I never worried about the occasional bad bout of aching back, proper lifting form, or weight limits, I did it all. So when I found I couldn't tilt my head to the left without excruciating pain and that that pain persisted well into two months, I decided to seek out a chiropractor via groupon. That's when I first came to the sunnyvale chiropractic group in November 2021 where I met Dr. Wilson, who is as affable as they come, and his well-versed in all movies animated assistant Elizabeth. The whole first meeting at the time felt a bit sales gimmicky what with the pre-recorded video about Dr. Wilson (which admittedly made it seem like they wanted Dr. Wilson to seem like God's gift on earth), the talking up, and the lack of treatment on day 1 (they took x-rays and had me come back later in the week). When I came in for the follow up meeting, Dr. Wilson gave me a surprisingly detailed break through of what was going on in my back. It was astonishing some of what he told me. The beginnings of sway back, several stage 2 advancing arthritis disks that needed care, and the neck of someone twice my age. Despite taking the news in stride, it was overwhelming, and after years of performing herculean work, I didn't believe what he was telling me. Regardless, he talked price, which I have to say, was pretty steep, and he said something I wouldn't forget, that it was like someone was looking out for me because I needed corrective care and they happened to be one of the few corrective care places in town. After that riveting meeting, he did some simple adjustments on me and sent me on my way. I didn't pay anything yet, I still had a couple free chiro sessions to use up, so I decided to shop around, see if what Dr. Wilson was telling me was accurate, and if I could get the job done cheaper. Before I go on about my shopping around and second opinions, I do have to say that as pleasant, charismatic, and skilled as Dr. Wilson is, he's a sharp salesman. He never presses too hard, but he does press for you to continue care. He'll always respect your decisions and he is understanding of all situations but just note, he will press you wherever and however he can and it can be uncomfortable at first. Just know that it's his job to do so and that at heart, he does genuinely want the best care for you. As for shopping around, I didn't do too much of that just due to time requirements but I did go to a place in san leandro, Chris MacChesney, DC, for a second set of x-rays and a second opinion. The chiro there said pretty much the same thing Dr. Wilson said, that I had a back and neck in need of corrective care. I asked him if he felt the price Wilson was asking for was fair and he said that though yes, it was a little steep, it was a fair price and that he'd heard SCG was pretty good. I then decided to move forward with SCG. My treatment consisted of ~3 adjustments a week for about 4 months. There were some cancellations, some rescheduling, and some logistical complications, so my care actually just ended at the end of May, not at the end of February as intended. The care though, was stellar. My neck is the most mobile it's been ever, I have no pain moving it any which way. My posture has improved remarkably. I feel more solid and like my body is standing and sitting the way it's supposed to. My headaches had abated significantly after they fixed my neck posture. Etc Etc Etc. The service and care both Wilson and Elizabeth had shown were amazing in their own right as well. I always had good conversation with the both of them. Dr. Wilson was always offering support for anything you were going through and he had a surprisingly good memory. Elizabeth always had a tale to share for why she was watching what animated movie what day (a lot of big hero 6 and how to train your dragon). Their patience was also top notch, whether it was with you deciding to move forward with care, with handling logistical complications (I didn't have a car from March through now so my sessions had been spread out), or with supporting your handling of claims with your health insurance. They were understanding and supporting no matter which way you looked at it. The environment was great too. I at first found the environment to be borderline culty with their country music, heavy spiritual sounding materials on their walls about chiropractic care, and the happy happy happy aesthetic they went for but it grew on me. It's an all friendly kind of place, especially for kids. As a side note for those that do heavy menial labor. Take care of your back, you only get one, and they deteriorate faster than you'd think. You can only be superman for so long. SCG can fix your back, but it won't be the numb do-all but broken back you're used to. My expectations were surpassed by SCG. The price was steep, yes, but you get what you pay for and with SCG, I felt it was worth it read more

The best thing that could have ever happened for me was to receive a referral from a well-known East Bay Chiropractor to Dr. Anthony Wilson in Sunnyvale. I had been in tremendous pain for at least a year, doing what I know that I should never do:  telling myself, "I can get through it".  Ignoring my lifelong scoliosis issues, plus the effects of two whiplashes and a natural fusion somewhere in my neck, had taken its toll on my ability to cope.  I didn't know where to turn and was willing to travel from Sunnyvale to the East Bay to find relief. Imagine my all-encompassing joy upon finding out that relief could turn into corrective care - and that it all could happen right here in Sunnyvale! Within the first week in Dr. Wilson's care, I noticed pain relief.  Now, at several months in, I am now on a corrective path and feeling new strength and energy.  I have better focus and memory - as if all of the blocked channels are clearing.  Work and projects are now much better executed. Dr. Wilson is knowledgeable and friendly, and I like the "maintenance care" format because it's very flexible and I can go in as often as I need to. When i first came in I had some periodic neck pain and a lower back issue. I had never had it diagnosed but it was on-going. I got an x-ray and he showed me the issues, which lined up with my experience without me telling him what that was. He told me that i had compressed vertebrae from about 6 years prior which was dead on, when i had suffered an injury to my lower back. He also mentioned the neck issue and showed where cartilage had been wearing away. I'd also been experiencing some heart palpitations and anxiety for no reason, which from his explanation sounded like it might be remedied once things were straightened out in the spine. I've studied nutrition and alternative medicine for years, and to me it makes sense that spinal alignment is really important for overall health. It is, after all, the one "highway" from the brain to the rest of the body, so of course it affects everything. After seeing him regularly my "periodic" neck issues have completely disappeared, as have the anxious feelings, tight chest and heart palpitations. My lower back feels better than ever. If i skip a couple of weeks i really start to feel it... so this is something that I need for my overall health. Yes, it is an up-front cost, and yes, most insurance does reimburse for at least part of it. It's simple to get a bill and send it to the insurance company once a year to get a refund for the covered services. My insurance company sends me a check. Is it free or super cheap? Decided to make my first review on here because these guys really helped me out. I just finished my 4 visits at the Sunnyvale Chiropractic Group that I purchased through Groupon. I have been dealing with neck issues for over 5 years that resulted from an accident and have tried many treatment modalities recommended by my general practitioner to no avail. I had no idea what to expect, but found that Dr. Wilson and Elizabeth (office receptionist) were fantastic and kind hearted. The first visit Dr. Wilson took X-Rays and we discussed my situation, followed by 3 consecutive days of adjustment specific to my neck and back. In just these few visits there has been a huge improvement in the range of motion and pain level. Dr. Wilson recommended that to get maximum results I should continue treatment, and was upfront about the cost. Due to my budget, and upcoming schedule I could not commit to further treatment at this time. Dr. Wilson told me that his doors are always open and I am always welcome to come back at any time. Very bad experience. If you like to waist your money and time, go a head. I'm a health care professional myself and had to reschedule my appointment due to my working hours. They refused to see me and said their policy is 2 cancellations for new patients. First of all I did not cancelled rather did rescheduled and went for my initial appointment. Second, they never gave me their policy to read and sign to begin with which is illegal. They also refused to send me my x-Ray. Cory the office manager obviously not have much knowledge about the policy or how to explain it to their customers at the initial visit. Day after I shared my experience and wrote them a review in Groupon, they called me back to schedule another visit for me. Just a friendly advice to all - prior to paying them a few k upfront get a second opinion. I've been diagnosed by dr Wilson with 3-rd stage cervical osteoarthritis by the X-ray shots. I was scared to death because the condition is not curable and can badly affect the quality of life. But luckily decided to check with neurologist from Stanford. He took and showed me my X-ray which was totally different from what I saw in this Sunnyvale chiro office! I can tell because dr Wilson showed me the areas with an excessive bone tissue grow. I have never EVER written a bad review in my life but I feel the need to because I don't want others to accrue the debt that I have from this place. I came in truly in pain and desperate for help. Unfortunately they charge you thousands of dollars for a 2 minute adjustment (if that). They assure you you NEED it or else you will have life long damage. They tell you that they will work with your insurance. I begged them to please please respond to my insurance and got barely any response from them. The results were not what I expected at all. I was referred to Dr. Wilson by a friend of mine, who is also a chiropractor.  I wasn't referred to Dr. Wilson due to back pain.  My chiropractor friend thought I have scoliosis, but it turned out that wasn't the case.  The x-rays showed degenerative conditions in my cervical, thoracic and lumbar areas.  I was told I need 6 months of corrective work followed by ongoing maintenance.  I will be the first one to admit that chiropractic is EXPENSIVE!!!!!!!  I also would agree that, in general, there is a lot of sales talk when you are considering chiropractic.   I decided to take the plunge and try out the corrective work by Dr. Wilson since I like the preciseness of his adjustments.  After 5 months of treatment, the results were totally unexpected.  I started to gain my cervical and lumbar curves back, but more importantly, my chronic symptoms related to my rheumatoid arthritis (RA) started to ease.  This is totally unexpected.  I am now under maintenance care and continue to see progress.  I am not confident enough to say that all my RA symptoms are gone, but I can now eat pretty much anything where that wasn't the case prior to the treatment.  I am also not in pain from RA like I used to.  Yes, chiropractic is expensive, but the improved quality of life made it worth it.  I was not a believer in chiropractic before, but now I would encourage anyone to give it a try. read more

I went in last Friday for my follow up appt ( first appt he just talked, took xrays, then said "if he could help me" i have some upper back pain, exactly what a chiro SHould b able to help), and the doc wasn't there. receptionist said he had to leave and i would need to reschedule. I just received a voicemaildo not from the receptionist that the doc usually doesn't reschedule appts but he was willing to this time. What? I now have another appt for next Friday, and still no massage that comes with the groupon. And the receptionist said "after the next appt, the doctor will say if you're ok to have the massage." I am a chiropractic junkie. That's right, I said it. No shame here. There are few things I enjoy more than the feeling of a perfectly aligned spine. I'm not going to go into all the gruesome details about my past car accident, struggles with insomnia, asthma and neck pain, but let me just say this: chiropractic works. I swear it does. No, really, it does. I have been getting chiropractic adjustments for close to 5?! years now, and I have never felt healthier. All those issues I mentioned above? Completely resolved, thanks to chiropractic.At this point, I get adjustments to maintain my spine health when I'm feeling a bit crunchy. It's a great way to keep on track, and it feels amazing! That being said, not all chiropractors are created equal, but Sunnyvale Chiropractic is the real deal. I just moved to the valley from Denver, Colorado and started my search for the perfect chiropractor. I'm very picky about chiropractors (apparently). Whenever I move or travel to a new city, I tend to sample many until I find the goldilocks adjustment, the one that's not too gentle, not too painful, but *juuuuust right*. This tends to be a ridiculous process (yes, I admit it!). But what am I supposed to do? Pick one out of a hat all willy-nilly? It's a very important decision. Very important. When you move to a new town you must: 1. find a place to live 2. find a chiropractor 3. find out where they keep the desserts. I need cookies for my soul, and cookies for my spine. That's right, spine cookies. I found Sunnyvale Chiropractic through Groupon ($45 for x-rays, an exam AND 4 adjustments?! WHhhhhhhhat!?) I figured Groupon would be a good way to try multiple doctors without breaking the bank, so I could compare the care and make my final decision, but to my delight, my quest is already over! Dr. Wilson is amazing, and I walked out of there feeling perfect. He is incredibly knowledgeable, enthusiastic and positive, and his staff is equally as wonderful. I was extremely impressed which rarely happens on the first visit. I will definitely be back. I was in serious pain for almost 5 months. The pain was horrible, my lower back to my right leg gave this uncomfortable tortured numbness. There were days I couldn't walk for too long, or even stand and there were times I couldn't drive until the pain went away. I fell down the stairs in July 09. I jammed my rotator cuff so bad I couldn't lift my arm. After learning that he could help my shoulder I went for the first time to a chiropractor in 20 years. I was referred to Dr. Park from my coach almost a year ago. I'm an avid crossfitter and noticed extreme pain in my hips and knew I needed to see someone if I wanted to be able to progress on the gym. I was in good hands from the beginning. I was advised that I could still continue to workout as much as I do, but to understand that my body will be in the process of correcting itself from 7-10 years of built up damage and that my numbers will suffer a little. I didn't care as long as I wasn't in pain anymore! During my care, I continued to push my body to its limits and Dr. Park said that my recovery was happening even faster because I was exposing it to more situations to adjust and correct itself. Needless to say, months later, the same squatting movement that caused me tears during a workout, now gives me NO PROBLEMS at all! Dr. Park is amazing at what he does and he even adjusts my kids (6 & 8) and husband weekly. We are definitely a chiropractic believing family! If you're experiencing pain, the problem has already manifested itself in your body. A few adjustments from any chiropractor may bring you relief, but it does NOT correct the problem. Dr. Park's philosophy is not about making the pain go away, but to help get you back to where your body won't fall into the same pattern that caused the injury to embed itself. This takes time and multiple adjustments to achieve. There is no quick fix to a long, endured injury. Terrible terrible TERRRRIBLE. Did an X-ray, and was told my "services to fix my back" would be about 4-5 thousand. The owner said he can do a soft credit check to see if I can possibly get approved for a "care credit card" to help pay for the cost. I was told this wasn't going to affect my credit, because we were just looking to see if I got pre approved. A few weeks later I get a damn credit card in the mail. Now, a few years later, I have a closed credit account on my credit because of this scam-place (which by the way, I'm disputing that) do yourselves a favor and stay far away. read more

I've had pretty bad lower back pain for the last 8-10 years. I was sceptical about going to see a chiropractor but I'm glad I came to see Dr. Wilson. Within 5 sessions my lower back began feeling relief, I no longer toss and turn all night, I wake up feeling refreshed and I don't feel that radiating pain in my lower back all day anymore. I have gone to Dr. Wilson for about 3 years. He was the first chiropractor that took xrays that showed exactly where my issues were in my spine and how they related to painful areas in my body. I am a RN and totally agreed with and understood his plan of treatment. I am also an equestrian and have had some riding accidents in the past that played a toll on my body. After one year of treatment, my xrays were repeated and there was actual improvement in 3 of the disc spaces that were heading for fusion. I was ecstatic, my consistent visits paid off! I am healthier overall as evidenced by not catching the current cold or flu going around at work, and improved digestion. The most exciting news is that my bone density actually improved in my spine! We met Dr. Wilson at a Mountain View street festival in 2012. My back had been causing me severe problems for years and after many attempts to fix it with physical therapy, exercise and Advil, I was ready to give chiropractic a try. I had always been skeptical of the treatment by the way. After our initial consultation and reviews of the entire family (my husband and two young sons 6, 8) we joined as a family and entered the treatment phase which entailed lots of adjustments over a short period. After which we entered the wellness phase which we have stayed in ever since (one visit/week). We even added our newborn third son in 2016. Since entering chiropractic care my back has been amazingly better. I have experienced less than a handful of times where I've had pain and in general it's like a new back.
