Big fans of long hold and no call back. The male doctor and our family only had one experience where he attempted to push vaccines - but after we set him straight he was professional and helpful after that. Plan on not getting into your appointment until at least 15-25 minutes after your scheduled time, and for sure plan on the doctor not being in for another 30-45. All in all a "quick check up" will take you about 1.5 hours here. 2 hours is our record at this office. (Note that the office was nearly empty ....)

My kids have been here since they were born, my son 15 years, my daughter 17 years, and just like that, they terminated my kid's relationship with their pediatrician for an unpaid bill. No one will talk to me, no one will call me back, they ignored my appeal that I had to submit online. When I tried to send Dr. Hanson an email through my pt portal asking him if he knows what the office is doing, I received a response from someone telling me that billing followed proper procedure. They send me letters I never received, probably because we don't check the mail very often, all our bills are paid online or through the bank. I'm a pediatric nurse, my husband is a nurse practitioner, a $59.00 bill is no problem to pay. And when I did find out I had the bill, I paid it and when I called the billing office to tell them I paid it she said " oh, no, when did you pay it? Oh, you can't do that. We will have to return it to you because it went to collections. You cannot pay it" yup and the office returned the payment to my bank. Like I said, nobody will talk to me. Nobody will call me back, they don't care, and they don't care about the message that they send to my kids that they're so easily disposable. I can't even express to you how disgusted I am, so disheartening and beyond unprofessional. There is no way SWCC can justify what they did.

What I do love about this location is that you can get same day appointments very easily. There are plenty a pediatric doctors that have same day openings and due to this I've met several of the doctors at the practice. They are all amazing! Facility needs a major facelift or new office, chairs are grey and cracked, and the walls of the patient rooms have stick on outdated decals overall the office makes you feel like you walked back into the 90s not in a good way. They do not have a very good patient portal nor do they have electronic patient forms which in 2025 is sad. Do you know how hard it is to fill out a pamphlet of paper work when your sick child is screaming, this sort of paperwork should be sent ahead of time and electronically in this day and age not only will it ease the lives of the patient but office staff too. Needs some more training on compassionate ethical care not again obvious lack of confidence/experience with patients who are not cookie cutter easy stamp and go.

The nurses were fine, but I thought they could cater more to the kids when interacting given it's a pediatrician's office, but they did their job fine. Nothing extraordinary. I'm used to getting a slip of paper with my kiddies' stats (I save them), but I could be helicoptering or just extra ‍ I was looking around for samples, but none were to be found. You know the baby wash, lotion, Boogie wipes or anything new coming out... Dr Wells was nice, patient, interacted with my 5 and 3 yo. Walked me through paperwork and made sure all questions were answered. I'll continue to use them bc they are 4 min from my home, but will have no problem changing if service is any less than what I received during my first visit. I was able to get in the following week and the receptionist was very helpful. At the appointment, I arrived 10 minutes early and I was being called back before I even had time to finish signing in and putting my cards away! The nurse took the initial measurements and then I waited about 15-20 minutes for the doctor. My entire visit I was in and out in 50 minutes. I was extremely happy with Dr Moreno, she was patient and attentive - answering every question I had and listening to all my concerns (which were many as a first time mom and also being new to the area). She gave me helpful advice and information I needed to know. She did a thorough exam of my baby and was very encouraging, definitely something this tired FTM appreciated. Their website has excellent online features, giving you access to your child's full history and updates which I found to be a wonderful feature. I haven't had any experience yet with the billing or insurance as a previous reviewer, but so far I am very happy with my overall experience with NW Pediatrics and Dr Moreno.

We waited 30minutes when a nurse came out and said the doctor wouldn't see us because we were an hour and a half late (according to them our apt was at 10am). I argued and they said the doctor wouldn't see us. I argued some more and they said the doctor would see us at 1pm. At this point I'm so upset I just don't want my son to be seen there. My son was 4months and 3 weeks and he hadn't gotten his vaccines because they didn't call and when scheduled they rescheduled and when we showed up they said we were late. I denied the apt and asked for my sons medical records. They said they weren't able to release those to me... that became another argument. Finally they had me sign some forms and they said they would email me his records by the end of the day. I never got the forms that day. I called the next day and they said they were working on it. I then get a VM saying that they would charge me $25 for the 1st 7 pages and then some cents for every page after that. Anyway my son got seen at another office and that staff was amazing. From front desk, to nurse to pediatrician. Everybody tried to make conversation with my 5month old and we just felt welcomed and catered to. My son ended up being diagnosed with a possible hernia. A symptom I tried to explain to La Altura over the phone and they dismissed me and then I tried to tell them in person and they didn't seem to care. I am so glad we left. I would not recommend this office to anybody. I should have listened to my mother instinct and changed pediatricians after our first visit. Do yourself and favor and go somewhere else. Oh and while I was there two other moms were having issues and also we got a very high bill in the mail. $976 when wellness visits should be covered
