I love Sunrise Bagel offerings, I really do. The baked goods they offer are great, I have never had anything I didn't love. We love the Kennebec breakfast sandwich and the lemon blueberry scones. The kids love the giant chocolate chip cookies. I love ordering through the app, because it gives you the opportunity to earn points that you can use toward future purchases. Note, you can't order pastries or cookies etc through the app - the stock changes too frequently to be able to post those. The staff at this location were very nice and I saw the owner of the chain pop in and greet everyone with a smile. It was really nice - like seeing a superstar. We were there on Mother's day and so naturally it was busy around morning/brunch time. I placed an order 30 minutes in advance and stopped in right around the pick up time. I bought some offering while I was waiting. Special mother's day cookies and some of the regular offerings - chocolate chip cookies and lemon blueberry scones. The couple behind me placed a bagel sandwich order and their order was ready in about 10 minutes, which seemed really reasonable and amazing given how busy they were. I continued to watch in person orders being fulfilled. I stood and waited patiently. I inquired once and was told it would be a couple of minutes - this was shared with me even though he didn't actually check any of the slips or ask for my name. I waited. 20 minutes after my online order was estimated to be ready, they yell out, "Is anyone waiting for an online order" I raised my hand. The panicked look on his face when he saw me, showed that he knew, he sold me the baked goods when I walked in 30 minutes earlier....I had been patiently waiting for close to an hour for 2 breakfast sandwiches...just 2 sandwiches! He quickly started scrambling and said, it will be just a couple of minutes. At the same time he was yelling out if anyone knew how to shut off online ordering. I did finally get our sandwiches. 5 Stars for quality of products and they were nice at the register. They lost stars...because they weren't organized and weren't communicating with each other. They simply were hanging online tickets, seemingly deprioritizing them and focusing on filling in person orders. I was aggravated and disappointed as this is not service I have ever experienced with the Sunrise chain. Oakland is always amazing as is Waterville (arguably one of the busier restaurants). If you choose to come here, I would recommend ordering in person. read more

It's hard to find a good bagel. Sunrise does this well. What they don't do well is give you cooked bacon or more than a sliver of cheese. The bacon was a step over raw. What a great addition to the area! It's nice to see something added to this otherwise mostly abandoned strip mall. The place is clean, the people are very nice and helpful, and the bagels were good. Not the best bagels I'd ever had (I am totally partial to Montreal style bagels), but I did enjoy the number of flavor options they had. Absolutely phenomenal bagel, made with sourdough and tons of options for bagels, toppings, and cream cheeses. Also a lot of non bagel options - get the monkey bread. Service was great, coffee was cheap and good, would absolutely recommend this place to anyone. Not pricy. Only complaint would be that there's only 3 sets of chairs outside, so don't prepare to find a seat. read more

I cannot sing enough praises about Sunrise Bagel!! I work in town two days a week and I literally look forward to it BECAUSE it means I'm getting Sunrise Bagel for lunch. The Elm on a toasted cheddar jalapeño bagel is to die for. I've eaten it twice a week for a month now with zero plans of stopping anytime soon. My coworkers wanted to order from elsewhere recently and I did a hard pass, and got my usual. There are other places around that do bagel sandwiches, but I've yet to find another than can compare to this. 100/10 recommend. Also try the homemade raspberry lemonade - it's SO good!! Staff are really efficient here and usually are really good. Very small seating area and a few small tables outside. Definitely more of a grab and go place. Gluten free bagels are amazing and if you are a celiac will be handled with care and toasted in a separate clean area in the back - the staff, are all very courteous. I highly recommend the Kennebec, as well as the Tuna bagel, and they now have 2 GF bagel options both are excellent and consistently a great albeit slightly expensive breakfast option as understandably the GF bagel has a surcharge of $3.50 making a typical breakfast bagel approx $10-12, Nonetheless Sunrise is one of my favorite quick easy to go GF friendly favorite places and very strongly recommended! read more

Staff is friendly and informative helping you to choose from the extensive offerings. Cookie are very good, toaster pastries even better. Coffee is good too. The shops are neat clean and inviting too. Bagels are tasty but when put into whatever they have to toast them or heat them, they get plasticky and very hard to chew. That's my only complaint, I have tried two different egg breakfasts bagel sandwiches at two different locations, so I avoid the sandwiches and go for the baked goods. read more

We almost didn't come here because it only had 4 reviews but we're so happy we stopped in! First, the inside of the shop is decorated very cool. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We were pleasantly surprised with different offerings of bagels such as spicy everything and rosemary and olive oil. The bagels were crunchy on the outside & soft and chewy on the inside side. I have to say that we will be going back to this place!! The service was excellent - my son raved twice about how "bomb" the bagel sandwich was that I got for him. I wanted to try the blueberry lemonade (which they prepare fresh in store) but it is a little pricey so I decided to pass this trip. While waiting for the bagel the owner brought me a blueberry lemonade on the house to try because he told me he wanted me to see why it is a little more expensive. I would gladly pay the price after tasting the product. It is evident that the ingredients are fresh and it was the most delicious, not too sweet and not too tart lemonade I have ever had. They have other flavors as well but I enjoy all things blueberry. If you haven't checked out Sunrise Bagels - I HIGHLY recommend you give them a try - you will not be disappointed. Yum!!! read more
