Sunrise is the place to go for a good biscuit. Hands down! The biscuits are fire! They are soft, fluffy savory and delicious. Add some bacon, egg and a slice of cheddar cheese and you will officially have a breakfast biscuit of champions. Have to be honest-the biscuit is so big that I cannot eat it all at one time. The prices are highly reasonable for the amount of food that you receive at Sunrise. This place is a definite place to visit in Chapel Hill.

Stopped by for an easy, quick breakfast. The biscuit was light and fluffy, the bacon was salty and cooked to crispy perfection, the eggs were seasoned well, and the cheese was a great addition to the quintessential breakfast sandwich. Good service, solid prices, and great bite of food.

Whether you get a plain biscuit or a sandwich they are always perfect buttery goodness!

The biscuit fame is well earned at Sunrise. For breakfast on the go it's the perfect option. The biscuits are fluffy buttery clouds of bliss. They are huge and dense so you won't be hungry after just one. I thought the chicken was fine but could have used a little more seasoning. Hashbrown was on the smaller side and nothing notable though. Wish there was a tad more friendliness from the lady taking our order but can't fault someone for being a little cranky after a long shift.

    Not just for a biscuit!

I was out running errands and needed a quick bite. I did not want fast food and am watching what I eat. I knew SBK was known and tried for there famous delicious buttery biscuits but I quickly checked the menu for other items and found a few options for lunch. I was in luck and they have sandwiches that you can order for lunch. I opted for a chicken salad on wheat with lettuce and tomato and I could barely take a bite of the sandwich. It's so packed high with chicken salad. The chicken salad is delicious and I am very satisfied with my choice today. The service was quick and pleasant and the staff is always friendly and polite. This is a drive through establishment off of a main busy road so there's no options for eating inside anywhere. Besides this being delicious the price was right. The sandwich was under $5.00. And I did not need a side as this was more than enough.

Ever since I was a college student, I've always wondered what the rage of sunrise biscuits was about. Finally, 8 years later, I gave in and decided to try it. My brother, a fried chicken connoisseur, confirmed that the rage of Sunrise Biscuit company was not in vain. The biscuit was everything you'd want in a biscuit - soft, buttery, flaky, and full. It was the perfect pairing with the golden, crispy, tender, juicy, fried chicken. Simply unsimple. Everything you want in one sandwich on a Saturday autumn morning. The service was filled with sincere southern hospitality. If I didn't know I was in chapel hill, I'd know I was in chapel hill from the way we were treated just in the drive through line. Ambience is just what you'd want to be in while getting a quick, southern breakfast. The food is all that matters. Just you and the food. Just a break from the noise of life.

The food was immaculate. I can't even pick a favorite. Baked oysters, cured scallops with bread, halibut crudo, delicious pasta dish and lastly venison. Everything was SO good. The wine pairings were also super delicious. I'm not much of a red wine drinker and I appreciated the lightness of the reds that were chosen. The woman from the wine shop did a phenomenal job of explaining the history and significance of each wine. It was a lovely experience. The restaurant staff were so friendly and kind as well. Only thing I'd change is adding a dessert! Would've loved a little sweet treat, even something tiny like a truffle or scoop of icecream, just something to finish off the meal would've been amazing. All in all, the meal was so amazing and I'm so glad I got to experience this wonderful event. Everyone should go check them out!

The star of the show in my opinion were the hush puppies and the corn and wild mushroom risotto. There were sooo many different flavors that perfectly complemented each other. I was blown away. And the pig cheek on top was incredible. 500/10. Our server made great recommendations! Then-- chaos and heartbreak ensued in the form of a fire alarm. We were forced to evacuate the restaurant as the fire department arrived , leaving about half our meal on the table. After 30 or so minutes of waiting out in the cold (we were apparently the only guests who hadn't paid out yet) our server came to find us. He asked us if we wanted to just give him our credit card information and he would ring us up later, when the fire department gave them the ok, as he understood not wanting to wait around. It broke our heart to leave our leftovers, but we agreed and went to go get the car. Thankfully we are stubborn.. and optimistic to a fault. And by the third time we circled around the block, the fire truck was pulling away. I ran in and asked if there was any chance our food hadn't been thrown away yet, and it hadn't! The staff was happy we had been able to come back, and they packed everything up for us, even taking the hush puppies off the bill and sneaking in a complimentary piece of key lime pie. I'm so glad we were able to tip our server appropriately for his great service-- and rescue our leftovers. Happy ending. All was well. (And the fire ended up being something innocuous in the unit above the restaurant)

Our server was great and very knowledgeable on the menu and had great wine recommendations. The Soupe aux Haricots Cannellini was creamy and delicious. We started with the French onion soup and it was so yummy. My only complaint is I wish it had more cheese... and more cheese stuck to the sides of the bowl because picking off the crispy cheesy parts is literally the best part. Mmmmm. Nice that they split it into two bowls for my bf and I to share! I got the steak frites. It was good, but my only complaint is it was salty. Like... salty salty. Both the steak and the fries were pretty heavily seasoned. My lips were starting to burn by the end lol. I also wish it came with garlic aioli. I saw the regular fries on the menu are served with it, and now I'm mad at myself for not asking to swap. Overall though, the service was great! The bartender was really nice, and our food came out fast. I'd definitely come back and just ask for a little less salt next time and that garlic aioli !

I had the BLTA sandwich with french fries and Dijonaise on the side and my spouse had the sausage, egg, and cheese breakfast burrito with home fries. We also each got different sodas from the cooler area. The total for two lunch entrées and two canned sodas was about $40. I feel like this is pretty high relatively speaking for a sandwich and fries, and a breakfast burrito and home fries + two canned sodas, which is why I gave the overall value a four. However, the breakfast burrito, home fries, and regular fries were AMAZING. Probably one of the best breakfast burritos I have had in a really long time, and the home fries were crispy and well seasoned. The sandwich I had was pretty good, but nothing super special, and definitely not worth $16. I didn't particularly care for the Dijonnais, but that's just personal preference and glad I had it on the side. The restaurant itself has ample parking and is easy to find. It has a lot of seating, as well as lounge type seating for the breakfast/café crew and people who might be coming to do a little bit of work. You order at the front and they give you a number and bring the food out to your table. Everyone we interacted with was friendly and kind. The restaurant itself was clean. Overall, I would probably give this somewhere between a four and a five, but I do really love to support Local and I could tell this place probably makes a banging coffee drink and had delicious looking desserts, so I went with a 5. Unfortunately, we live between 35 and 40 minutes away, so we likely won't return, but if we find ourselves in that area of Chapel Hill, I would consider stopping in for another breakfast burrito!
