A hidden gem! I drive by this restaurant everyday on the way to work and we finally stopped in for breakfast! We were sat within seconds of walking in on a Saturday morning. I ordered an iced mocha latte and the big breakfast platter. My husband ordered the biscuits and gravy and a bagel breakfast sandwich. The biscuits and gravy were not our favorite (we're from Florida so we're picky about them). They were a little too milky for our taste. Everything else was wonderful and the prices were great! I've ordered delivery from Sunrise before but this is my first time actually sitting down and eating. This is a nice casual breakfast/lunch spot. We came for a late Sunday breakfast & it was almost a full house in there. Waited maybe 10 mins to be seated. The staff was extremely friendly & attentive to us. We ordered the Caramel lattes & the Filipino breakfast which consisted of fried rice, eggs (I got fried) toast & your choice of their sweet sausage (longanisa) or tocino. There was a little mistake with our order but it was fixed immediately. Everything was pretty tasty & warm still once I got my new plate. I'm Filipino so I'm very familiar what a Filipino breakfast should be. I preferred the longanisa over the tocino here. You pay at the register towards the back of the restaurant. Service there was speedy and efficient with coffee immediately and my breakfast order taken. My cheese omelet (hold the potatoes and toast as I'm on a low carb diet) was tasty and prepared well. This mom and pop shop is where you want to go for a good Filipino Breakfast. (At least that's my S.O. and I always get.) Everyone here is so warm and friendly and the wait for a table usually isn't long. Once we've exhausted ourselves of our typical brunch places, we like to visit this spot as a "refresh". We order the "Filipino Breakfast" which consists of your choice of meat (hint: Get the Tocino, Rice, Toast, and Eggs). I typically get my eggs sunny side up or "over easy" so that I can mix it with my Rice and Tocino. Add a little hot sauce and your good to go! Make sure to get a warm cup of coffee to accompany your breakfast. We always walk out happy when we come here, everything is simple and to the point. You can't get any better than that. read more

I have no clue how this place has 4.3 stars, I could understand a solid 3. Let me start by saying the service wasn't bad, not great, but not bad by any means. The place is really small and we ended up basically sharing a table with another couple, but I can understand that with them being busy today. Now for the main concern, the food. I can honestly say that I don't think I've ever gone out to eat and had such bland food. It looks nice, but the second you take a bite you immediately think "I could've made this 10x better myself at home". The food wasn't gross nor did it have a funky taste, it was just so bland and tasteless that it genuinely made me regret spending money on it. I hate to leave poor reviews, especially in small local shops, but I really hope this will catch their attention so they can fix the food problem. read more

Yes. When I saw this place as a potential breakfast place I told my friend we had to go! In VA beach have to get as much Filipino food as I can. The diner was packed when we came in but the wait wasn't too long for a table to open up. We sat down and ordered Filipino breakfasts. My friends got the sweet sausages with theirs while I got some bacon with mine. I love that we can customize the eggs you want and it comes with toast and this delicious fried rice. Amazing. Breakfast was average. The corn beef hash was probably from a can. The orange juice was sour. The steak was thin, bland, and super chewy/tough to swallow. Tastes like the vegetables in the fried rice is frozen and the rice was mushy. My wife felt sick and nauseous later. I had an upset stomach and had to go to the bathroom a couple times. Secondly, we only stopped in for a small bite. So only ordered lumpia and biscuits and gravy. My friend was going to get a half order of the biscuits and gravy, but it only knocks off a buck. The lumpia - hot crispy, well seasoned. This time (I ate here ages ago) they served it with a side of sweet chili sauce, last time they didn't have any (and said they didn't carry it) and I hadn't come back because I like to eat my lumpia with sweet chili sauce. I may have to come back just for the lumpia, that is how good it was. The biscuits and gravy? Despite the visible chunks of sausage, it was very bland and slightly sweet. My very hungry friend only had a couple bites. We boxed it up in the hopes I can salvage it at home with some zhuzhuing. Overall I'd come back, mostly for more lumpia, but I'd be willing to try other dishes too. read more

My husband and I always go here for some hearty breakfast with Filipino/Asian options such as Ticino (a sort of savory sausage) and fried rice. But don't miss out on the pancakes! Lightly crispy on the outside yet fluffy center, it is served with a choice of chocolate chips, strawberries, blueberries, banana or get the popular sweet potato version. I have not seen pancakes cooked like these anywhere else! They have plenty of traditional options as well with bacon, eggs, corn beef hash, ham & eggs, grits, country fried steak etc so there is definitely something for everyone. The food was absolutely delicious, my boyfriend I went for breakfast my first weekend back in the states after being stationed overseas and I loved it so so much. Will definitely go back. Thé business was booming, and it's very military friendly. However, the only reason we are not giving it five starts is because the only time our waitress talked to us was for our order and when we waved them down for the receipts. I know the family that owns this restaurant, can I still review? Well they don't know, so this is a honest review. Been going here for over 8 years and food has been consistent each time. The staff is friendly, the owners have a great charity in the Philippines so They will often will have fundraisers in the evenings where they might do like a Speghatti dinner. The inside of the restaurant needs some updating. Looks like an 80's diner with a lot of stuff inside, just stuff... The Filipino Breakfast is my go to meal when I come here. I love it, fried rice with Tocino and eggs. My hubby on the other hand, well they can't get his scrambled eggs with cheese right. If you see in the pictures, it's not scrambled.
