Great little breakfast restaurant we tried this morning, and they have Filipino food choices so that made it even better!! I tried the pork adobo omelet with white American cheese, and it had lots of pork and cheese so I was stuffed after eating most of it. My husband had the Filipino breakfast with fried rice and tocino which is like bacon, and he also said it was enough food to get him filled up. Our waitress was very friendly and kept our coffee cups filled during the entire meal. Very mediocre but quick service. For a quick, greasy breakfast that's super casual it's a good choice. It's a very simple diner-style menu with a couple of Filipino options. I was really hoping to find more authentic Filipino options, but that is not how they market themselves. Nothing we got was bad, but just very basic and greasy (not recommended if you're trying to eat low-fat). We had the Filipino breakfast, kielbasa sub and an order of lumpia. Most interesting item was the tocino, which is sorta like a Filipino version of bacon. I was excited to try the lumpia, but $6.25 for 6 was WAY more than it should cost! Not the place to get that. Service was SUPER fast. We were in and out in under 30 min despite it being completely full when we first arrived. read more

Atmosphere: Very casual local type spot. Very diverse customer base. I was very surprised and excited to see that. Great spot to sit and talk while you eat. It was a chilly day outside so it was a bit on the colder side for the temp in the room but I was comfortable with a jacket on. Food: Amazing, I got sweet potato pancakes and corned beef hash. Both were amazing. I also ordered a side of bacon that I got because a kid at a table across from us got super excited when his bacon arrived at the table. He was right, it tasted great. I've lived closeby Sunrise pretty much all my life. Breakfast food is my favorite food and I can't believe it's taken me this long to try Sunrise! This is a cute little diner spot that serves brunch. There were several options that sounded appealing, but I was there for one thing: the Filipino breakfast. You get fried rice, two eggs, and your choice of longanisa (sweet sausage) or tocino, and toast. I chose the tocino, and was very happy that it had the perfect amount of sweetness. I chose to switch out my toast with a biscuit and gravy, and I loved it! The biscuit was soft and the gravy was perfect. My only complaint is that I wanted garlic fried rice instead of regular fried rice, which is a typical Filipino staple. Otherwise, service was great and I'll definitely come back again! read more

Came here for some Brunch after church, and met up with friends. I've been here a couple times already, but it was my friends first time. As you walk in, it looks like an old version breakfast diner like what you see in movies. But it was cute and cozy. We all ordered the Filipino Breakfast which came with either the famous Longanisa or Tocino, Fried Rice, your choice of two eggs and toast bread for $8. We were all satisfied of what we had ordered, and it was definitely a good portion too. We left with a full tummy and good vibes. Our waitress was very kind, helpful and very attentive. To all my friends who live near here, they keep telling me it's the hotspot for people who live in Chesapeake. So I planned out to have brunch with some friends. The location is definitely easy to miss, if you get on the little bridge you have gone too far. I guess you can say it's a "hole in a wall".
