****Service Dept Review**** RAY TOWNES Dropped my 2017 c7 corvette off w/ 25,000 miles on 21 APR 25 for rattling noise underneath car. Got a call today saying the Service managers declined to Diagnose my car's problem. When I asked why, the rep couldn't tell me and asked me to talk to the service manager on why. I get to the shop today, and met with the service manager (RAY TOWNES) and he stated, he will not diagnose the rattling noise because I have aftermarket wheels on my Vette. I repeated back what he said to me, "so you're not going to diagnose the rattling under my car because I have aftermarket wheels?" The wheels are the same size as the factory size btw. Not bigger or smaller. What sense does that make (is what I'm thinking in my head)? Keep in mind the new wheels I have on there are FORGED and way safer than the stock corvette wheels because they have an open lawsuit with Chevy for those stock wheels cracking since they are CAST and very porous. So if he knew about c7 corvettes he should know about the bad wheels from factory. He proceeds to say it could also be that the mating surface from the wheel to the hub/rotor could be dirty and making that sound, or the wheels aren't torqued down to spec and could have some wiggle room and that's creating the sound. (At this point he's trying to make any and all assumptions as to what he think it could be but didn't diagnose it) I had to stop him right there and let him know that that's not the case at all, the rattling started while I had the stock wheels on and that I attended NASCAR University so you're not gonna tell me anything to get me to believe that my new wheels are the cause of the rattling. Try that on someone else without mechanic experience sir. I asked to get what he's telling me in writing, he declined to type anything up. (I wonder why). I do understand that shop has the right to refuse service, but for a valid reason. The validity of that, was what he could come up with in his mind at the time. Not professional. This place is absolute trash. I pulled in the service bay to get some minor work done. I got out of the truck and stood there for 30 min and absolutely no one would even acknowledge that I was there. Keep in mind there wasn't even a single car in the service bay, just wide open with employees standing around talking to each other acting like I'm not even there. So I just pulled out and left. First issue the wireless charger almost caught fire destroying my wife's phone, second the check engine light came on with less than 3,000 miles. The vehicle sat at the vehicle untouched for over a week. They told us to not use the wireless charger (that we payed for!!!) they cleared the check engine light and it hasn't come back on. Now the Acadia has a right rear tail light and they want us to drop it off for an unknown amount of time but it's not a high priority fix... F this company, never again. I'm extremely disappointed with Sunrise Chevrolet in Collierville, TN. Manager Jeff Holland personally told me that my vehicle repairs would be covered under warranty and I'd only need to pay $173. However, when I returned for the same repairs, I was told I had to pay $1,780 -- all because I didn't have a paper copy of the original receipt, even though Jeff acknowledged it was already in their system. This feels dishonest and unfair. A warranty should be honored based on records, not paperwork games. I expected better integrity and customer service from a Chevrolet dealership. Just purchased (leased) a new vehicle from Buick Collierville. The facilities are nice, clean and spacious. The staff are friendly. We just had a "not so good"experience, once the sale was done. We wasn't showed the service center as promised, the paperwork listed us trading in a truck, which we did trade anything. The salesman never took the time to show us all the bells and whistles of the vehicle. We never got the "valued customer feel" from here. STAY AWAY!!!! THEY JUST WANT MONEY!!! My boyfriend hit a pot hole and got a flat. He came in to get a new tire because he had warranty still. They tried charging him for a bunch of other stuff like rotation, alignment etc and when he declined they told him the tire was worn out too much for him to even get a tire under warranty. Then they tried to charge him for them lifting up the car to check for I have no idea what!!! If the thread was worn down they could've told us that from just looking at the tire and they didn't have to do all that extra unnecessary stuff. I think they were just trying to make us spend money and that's messed up. We had to ask to speak to a manager. The 1st manager said we would have to pay because they lifted the car ( even though that's not what we asked for nor did they discuss that with us before hand) but he would give us a discount. This whole experience was horrible! Then we found out they OVER CHARGED $10,000 when he initially purchased the car around Covid!! I purchased a 2010 Tundra from Sunrise Collierville. I was assured by the Salesman Colby in writing that the truck had no leaks "Dry as a bone" before I even test drove it. This was a lie!!! 2 weeks later on a quick trip to Atlanta it starting running hot. I made it there and straight to a Toyota Dealership, where it was diagnosed with a massive coolant leak! This originated from the valley plate seal, a failure that doesn't just happen. It had been leaking for a very long time, the technician showed me the gunk build up on top of the engine where it had been leaking, Not just for 2 weeks. I called Colby because I was now stuck in Atlanta with no way home and a $3,000 repair. He said there was nothing they could do, but he would ask his manager. I even offered to split the cost with Sunrise Collierville, no go. He reached out later to say the same thing. He wouldn't connect me to his superior ever and said he would fight for me, he did not. I had to get back to Memphis and wait a week for my truck to be fixed. Now I am out travel expenses as well. DO NOT DO BUSSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!! You will regret it. Buyers BEWARE. Scam artists at work. My husband inquired about a 2020 InfinitI QX60 advertised on their website via the Sunrise website. Today, 01/19/25, my husband received a phone call from someone representing the company saying the vehicle was available and made an appointment for us to test drive it. She later texted my husband giving him the name of the sales person to ask for, Stevan. We drover over an hour one-way to the dealership. We walked in and asked for Stevan. We told him what we were there for. With NO shock, surprise, or concern, he told us the vehicle had been sold. When we told him we were contacted to come see that particular vehicle, he just shrugged his shoulders and asked us to sit down and they would try to "find" us something else. We declined his gracious offer. During our brief encounter, he never smiled or showed any emotion other than being extremely BORED. This is not the first time we have been disappointed with this particular dealership (both with sales and the service departmen) but it will be our LAST. I purchased my first car here a couple of years ago. What was supposed to be me just going in for a look, ended up being me driving away in my new car. Our salesman Alonzo was new, but he was well trained and very informative. He drew up all of the necessary paperwork, showed me the amounts and allowed me to make a decision. To this day, I'm so happy I chose to buy my car here. They have several options to choose from. The car also came with a service plan as well. I got free oil changes/maintenance for about two years. I feel like that was an awesome perk. Service is always great and quick as well. Friendly people and great customer service. He dropped the ball on calling me back or better yet trying to get a sale at all. The vehicle that I had reached out about over four different times since he couldn't find the time to call me back at all. Deans response most recently was that the car was sold and he had no idea because he was off the day previously. Don't waste your time getting your car serviced at Sunrise Cheverlet. They don't want to fix cars. We had an appointment to fix our air bag on our Corvette. The service rep told us it should take 3 days tops. After repeated calls to check on our car , we receive a call to come get our car and they did not fix it. To ad insult to injury they park are car under a sappy tree for those 2 weeks. Never offered to wash it. That is not what you do to a Corvette owner that keeps his baby clean. i wrote a review on google when i first bought my vehicle i had preordered. ton of things were messed up with it and it took a while before anyone at the dealership to listen. after i finally made a review and filed a complaint with BBB i got a response and was able to get my vehicle in and fixed as best they could. i would still not recommend buying a vehicle from there especially if you preorder unless you state you want the stuff fixed before you sign the paperwork if you were to have issues. but i would highly recommend their service department and especially the service advisor matt tullos and the service manager tony roberson for helping me out on getting everything fixed and answering any and all questions i had. the 4 stars are for the service department. read more

If I could give this place negative stars I would.  I have worked at a few dealerships in my life but never seen one ran so poorly as Sunrise GMC Collierville.  This was the 3rd and final time I will ever take my vehicle to this dealership. The first time I waited over 8 hours in their lounge for an oil change and a checkup on my suspension.  I received no explanation, no follow up, no one spoke to me and told me "we are backed up" or "we just can't get to it quickly right now"- which I would have understood.  I received no communication and after the oil change my truck had trash in the bed from someones McDonald's lunch. Second time I took my truck in (pre COVID) for a check engine light.  I was told it would take a few days to evaluate which I was fine with.  That 2 days turned in 2 months.  Again, no communication and to this day I do not have the paperwork detailing what was exactly wrong.  I was given no courtesy vehicle until I begged for one.  I was given no information other than "its the DEF system," and I was never called about my truck I had to go up to the dealership and track down the Service Consultant and ask what the situation was.  No communication was given to me.  When I went up there one day to get my work badge, found my truck covered in pollen out back- clearly had not been touched in a while, and again 3-4 bags of someones McDonalds lunch in the bed (which remained there until I got my truck back and took it out myself). I asked to speak with the Service Director, Manager, and Shop foreman multiple times but was always told they were not in the office, which they were cause I could see them in their offices or walking around on multiple occasions.  After 2 months my trucks issue was not fixed as the DEF was leaking so I had to go to another dealership to have it corrected. This third time was a last minute emergency and I had to take my truck to Sunrise reluctantly.  I took it in on Thursday, told them I had a Job I HAD to leave for on Saturday afternoon and the truck was not even pulled into the shop until later Friday.  I did not get my truck back until the following Monday which meant I had to push my plans and job out which was a whole different issue.  However, I get that things don't always play out perfect but it was frustrating to say the least that yet again this dealership screwed me.  Although this time the communication was better with a different Service Consultant the issue was not fixed.  They told me it was an issue with a pump in my truck and that it was fixed.  However, after getting my truck back it is now leaking fluids. My truck has less than 40,000 miles on it, its a Duramax diesel, and I maintain it meticulously as I have customers in and out of it all the time and want to make a good impression.  As much as I love my truck this dealership has made me question if it will ever run correctly due to their negligence.  I am now making it a point to go to a dealer 5 and half hours away whom I trust (assuming the truck will make it here) to fix whatever issues arise going forward.  I have never had any issues with my trucks other than regular maintenance and in a year and a half of working with Sunrise I've seen 3 issues, all of which were not fixed by them.  It is on me for continually going back but I would expect a certain level of professionalism and communication from a dealership.  I wish I could say this is an isolated incident with me but after talking to my neighbors I have 2 more people that have said the same things I have and my uncle has gone through the same issues with them.  I actively tell people to avoid this dealer, mainly because cars for most people are a large expense and this place has cost me more money in a year than I would have spent on regular maintenance throughout the life of my truck.  I don't write this review out of hatred or anger but more so to warn anyone in the Collierville, TN area to avoid using this dealership due to their lack of communication, inability to fix issues, and overall sloppy management of their service department.   I understand this may be a one off issue with myself and the 3 other people I have expressed my displeasure with but I am incredibly disappointed in this GM Dealership and I am willing to bet I am not the only one who has gone through this level of incompetence with this service department. read more

I wish that I never patronized Sunrise In Collierville. There is NO WAY that I should have to wait over 5 hours to get an oil change and a new tire on my truck. I was told that I would have to wait because I did not have an appointment... well neither did the four other customers that had service done to their vehicles. How do I know "I ASKED" The sad thing is that one of the ladies had tire issues and an oil change as well, but the one thing she had going for her was a good Service Advisor that worked to get her in and out... while my Service Advisor had a point to prove I guess. So he comes and let me know that my tire is here and that I still have 6 people on front of me and I 'm like where are they??? This is a bunch of BS and this is just piss poor service. When I arrived, I was able to find my advisor Bryan who greeted me and gave me that southern hospitality that I have heard so much of. Bryan informed me of the recommended maint. at my current mileage, to which I agreed. Within 10 min my arrival the shuttle driver Charles was available and ready to transport me back to my place of employment. After a short period, Bryan called and I okayed the filter replacement and scheduled the shuttle to come back and pick me up. Once I got back to the dealership Bryan brought me those filthy filters. And I am so happy that they were replaced. My car drives so much better and smells better too! I appreciate the entire scheduling, maint. process it was seamless. Beyond frustrated with Sunrise Chevrolet and their serious lack of honesty, integrity, and professionalism. My service advisor was David Simon but I had spoken with a few different employees. I brought my 2017 Corvette into Sunrise to have some warranty work done on my vehicle (based on year & mileage, it still falls under the powertrain warranty). I know better than to bring my car to any new body shop without first having it taken to someone I trust. I brought the car to a friend and the only reason I didn't give him the business is because it would need to be done at a Chevrolet in order to be covered under the warranty. After taking a few things apart and sticking a borescope into the engine, my local shop determined that I had a cracked head gasket (I have pictures showing the crack). They also determined that I may need some new fuel injectors but they would have to take apart most of the engine and test each one individually to give me a clear answer. Under Chevy's power train warranty, head gaskets are covered - fuel injectors are not. The most sensible and cost efficient way to go about this would be to bring my car into Chevy, have them fix the head gasket (covered under warranty) and at that point, I would pay for the fuel injectors out of pocket. In order for them to get to the head gasket, they would have to take apart the engine (including removing the fuel injectors). That would mean, in theory, I should not be charged for the labor involved in removing the fuel injectors, despite them not being covered under warranty. All that I should be paying for, in that case, would be the cost of the injectors themselves. Any labor and head gasket work/replacement would fall under my warranty. When dropping off the car and explaining the above to the service advisors, they immediately said that they cannot and will not perform work based on another shop's report. Fine - I let them run tests and come to their own conclusion. I received a call a few days later and was told that based on their diagnostic, they think I need new fuel injectors. When I mentioned the head gasket, they said that "based on the diagnostic, we have no reason to believe that there is an issue with your head gasket". I said that while I appreciate their findings, I have a diagnostic sitting in my car with pictures and descriptions of that car's cracked head gasket. They said "We cannot use information provided by a non-chevy body shop". Okay...So I asked them to take a look anyway and if the head gasket is in fact not cracked, I will pay for the whole thing. They refused the service as "their tests only point to injector problems" and I was forced to pull my vehicle after it had been sitting there, un-drivable, for 3 weeks. Not to mention, they slapped me with a $400 diagnostic fee. I found out from multiple sources that service advisors make the bulk of their money on commission. I also found out that warranty work gets paid out to these shops at 1/3 of what their typical rate is ($160/hr) It is very clear that these service advisors were turning their heads to the cracked head gasket because they wanted to charge me full freight for the 8-12 hours of work involved rather than do the work under warranty for the head gasket at which point the injectors would have already been taken out of the car which would not incur any additional labor. I was more than happy to give them the business for the injectors but they got greedy and I had to pull the car. To anyone reading this, find yourself a mechanic whom you trust and avoid going into a major dealership service center, blind. read more

From the estimate to picking up the car after all the work was done, the manager, Chuck, was great. He does like to chat, but that is part of his friendliness. I found him to be fair and honest. How does a business survive when the customers business is taken for granted and the customer is an interruption to employees goofing off and demonstrating little to no customer satisfaction skills. This dealership and service department needs to spend money in the training of their employees and remember what makes a business a success ... the customer !!! I took my 2010 Terrain in for a noise in the front. After a week of no response from the Service Advisor, Ken Roebuck, I got an email that they has found the problem and the cost is $725 to repair. I authorized the repair IF that would fix the noise. I called the next week to check on the repair-no return calls until I emailed the General Manager. Ken said they were looking at another noise. Got the car back after 3 weeks. Ken told me the second noise was brakes. This was wrong. I feel I was charged for a repair that was mis-diagnosed. I just left the service department after waiting over two hours only to be told that my vehicle hadn't even been brought into the bay to begin my oil change. My service consultant Tim Barrett disappeared after I gave him the keys. He didn't update me on my progress, and had to be paged to return to his post. I asked him where we were, and after looking into his computer told me that they were bringing my vehicle in shortly. I had an appointment at 10:30. It was 12:30 when I asked about the progress. Again, I had not been update on the status in 2 hours. I demanded that he bring me my keys and vehicle so I could leave. He told me to "Chill out". This is completely unacceptable. He then said that I had an Attitude. Again, never acceptable. I spoke with the service manager and expressed my anger. The service manager was polite and listened to my concern, but offered no recourse. I will never do business with Sunrise again. And I am considering trading my Denali in on a newer model. I took my 7 year old car in for service 3 times, first time I just got an oil change, within a day, one of my headlights was burned out. Next time I took it for some 100,000 mile work and a short time later, I have lights and bells going off, so I took it a third time, they tried to tell me that I needed $4,400 dollars worth of work, timing chain, water pump, ABS cables, and back brakes and rotors.... I took the car to another shop the next day, I had a big surprise, one of my dogs had chewed through some wires and chewed up a wheel speed sensor.... $117.70 worth of work. How come Sunrise didn't notice these chewed wires???? They had my car for about 8 hours.... I wouldn't go back to this dealership or any other for anything... Now I understand why my coworkers refer to them as Stealerships.... The service manager did suggest that it was time to think about trading in and getting a new car... I guess they are low on good used cars and wanted mine. Not going to happen! I won't be back! And I'll make sure that all of my coworkers don't go there either. read more
