My car was in the shop and I had a pretty long wait. I wandered over to Sunrise Deli which is situated strategically near some of the busier businesses in an industrial park. It has a good amount of space, inside and out, with the vast outdoor seating offering plenty of shade. It was just a nice vibe! I had never been here before. I was immediately drawn to the person at the register, she just had a great, with-it personality that indicated she knows exactly what she's doing, I just loved her. The food was ready very quickly, and tasted great. I had a meatball sub and absolutely loved it. Up there with some of the best I've had in the past few years. My only criticism is of the drinks, and this is just personal preference. The selection was VAST, however, I had trouble finding something different and palatable. It just seemed like it was a lot of just ok selections. Again, that's just personal preference, I would have loved to have seen multiple root beer options, more real sugar soda options, real lemonade options, etc and from my recollection it was just a ton of energy drinks or tons of different options of basically the same thing. They also have a large assortment of food and convenience store-esque drinks. Prices are a little more expensive than the menu pictures on Yelp. The macaroni salad was only alright, it was too sweet for my taste. We ordered the Truffle Swiss Mushroom Burger and Alaskan Baked Salmon. Both smelled REALLY good and the portions were great for the price. The salmon was very thick and juicy while the burger was very tasty. I visited on a Thursday and the special of the day was a hickory bbq rib sandwich. French bread was fresh and I liked the mild french bread flavor. Bbq sauce was sweet with a nice smoky flavor. Lettuce and tomato were crisp and fresh. Beef was tender. Good sandwich. 2nd visit I tried the Miramar Special which featured grilled roast beef and bacon. This is my favorite sandwich so far. 3rd visit I came by on Friday and they had a country steak fried sandwich special with fries. I gave it a try. Steak had a crunchy batter and nicely seasoned with salt and pepper. Steak came in the form of a burger patty and was tender. Bread was fresh with a mild slightly sweet flavor. Pretty good sandwich. Fries were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Loved the potato flavor. 4th visit I visited on Wednesday and noticed the chicken katsu special. I opted for the fish and chips. Fries were crispy and I loved the potato flavor. Fish had a crunchy batter and tasted like frozen fish sticks you can get at the supermarket. Texture was a bit hard due to the freezing process. Flavor was a mix of mild fish and fried batter. Sunrise Deli has a huge drink selection, great tasting sandwiches and very good fries. It appears they have a different special everyday. read more

A sandwich filled with roast beef, avocado, peppercini Swiss cheese, mayo on a French roll. Absolute perfection. Add some crispy fries, onion rings or fried zucchini and you have yourself a perfect meal. They have a daily special menu, but you have to come in to actually see it because they don't post it online. The daily special can be anything from Curry to sweet and sour chicken to a fajita burrito. Who knows, it's whatever they dream up for the day. The prices are low and the service is always friendly.
