My kids love this place since their high school days. Now in their very late 20's, they still visit often. The sandwiches there are delicious. I order a turkey sandwich with extra sprouts. It was tasty to my liking though the tuna somehow was a little sweet. They have their secret sauce in a small container for the sandwiches. I have two favorite sandwiches at Board and Brew that I rotate between. When I'm craving a hot sandwich, I get the Baja Beef ($9.95) which comes with steak, grilled onions, jalapeños, jack cheese, and mayo on a toasted French baguette. When I want a cold sandwich, I get the Turkado ($8.50) which has turkey breast, jack cheese, avocado, mayo, onions, tomato, and lettuce on sourdough bread. You can't go wrong with either one, and it satisfies my sandwich cravings every time. This time, I decided to branch out from my usual order, and I got a Chicken Club ($8.95). This comes with chicken breast, bacon, jack cheese, mayo, tomato, lettuce on a toasted French baguette. This was as tasty as the Baja Beef, and I like how it came with bacon. I also got a side of house potato salad ($3) which was deliciously tangy. The service is on point, and they are very cheerful and helpful. The ambiance is casual, and they usually play sports games on the tv. You can enjoy beer with your sandwiches as well. I can't end the review without talking about the Board and Brew sauce. Was very disappointed on February 5th, placed a call in order at 6:10pm, so that I could pick up my food promptly. When I arrive, the gentleman with the facial piercings completes my transaction and I proceed to wait. I notice the employees talking amongst each other, on their phone from time to time, then I noticed someone that ordered after me get their food. I follow up to check, he proceeds to ask me what my order was even though there was only 2 people who have ordered in between. And my order was on the counter behind the register the whole time. I understand one off occasions so I'll let that pass. I love the decor ro this place! Its roomy inside with a bar feel but not exactly like a bar. They serve sandwiches mainly and have a small bar. Around the seating area is decorated with skateboards. The ratios are for the most part, pretty good where you don't take a bite and everything just falls out. The thing that makes B&B special is their orange sauce. I believe it is a variant of thousand island with more spice and acid. You can ask for quite a bit of that and it makes each bit a bit more festive and unique. Also, you can ask for the Au Ju as well if you want to make your sandwich fall apart but it is good broth (both of the sauces are free) Service & Atmosphere: Service: Friendly, Attentive, Fast, Food came out after 5-10 minutes Ambiance: The space is in the corner of the plaza. There is plenty of parking but can get really busy during the weekends. The interior is table seating with some bar seating, and booth seating. There is basically no privacy inside as new customers come in from the sides next to the booths. There is also some outside seating with tables/chairs and big table/benches with umbrellas for the sun. When you are outside there is a view overlooking the Mira Mesa exit on the 15 Freeway.
