It has been over 10 years since I've had a Jersey Mike's sandwich. I have to say, it wasn't quite as good as I remembered. I ordered the giant California Club on whole wheat made Mike's way. By the time I got home, less than 2 miles away, the sandwich was all soggy. I wasn't particularly impressed when I was standing at the counter and looking at the ingredients. The tomatoes looked fine, but the chopped iceberg lettuce looked wilted and had changed color. Same with the avocados, they were mashed and brown. The photo had freshly sliced avocados for this sandwich, but that wasn't the case. Service was just ok. The gal at the counter preparing my sandwich wasn't rude, but she wasn't nice or welcoming either. It will be another decade before I consider another Jersey Mike's sandwich. My favorite Jersey mikes location! The service is quick and courteous. The night crew, especially Callie is very kind and friendly. The food is consistently yummy and I appreciate how the employees will suggest things I didn't even know were possible, like grilling the peppers with the chicken for the warm sandwiches. This is probably one of the worst Jersey Mike's location in San Diego. I normally order my sandwich through the app but this time I felt like ordering in. I visited this week and upon entering, no greeting or anything.. and it was not busy. I know the girl working there saw me enter as I saw her look up towards me but whatevers.. Anyways, there was a customer ahead of me so I'm standing in line waiting to be assisted. I'm finally up and instead of receiving something like "Hi there, how may I help you"... I get "You ready?".. and it wasn't in a nice way either, it was in an I'm annoyed way. Another customer enters after me and they get the same reception as well. I decided then and there, I will no longer be dining in at this location nor ordering through the app from this location either. Anyways, my sandwich gets passed over to a green hair girl, and she continues the order. So I've never worked at a sandwich restaurant before but I could've sworn the extra pieces of the lettuce, tomatoes, etc that is on the sandwich prep board gets swept into the trash and not put back into the fresh veggie bins. This girl grabs it all and throws in back in the lettuce bin. I saw tomatoes and onions in the lettuce bin. Again, I've never worked at a sandwich shop but I don't think it's supposed to be that way. Anyways, this girl lacked the communication skills as well and she started to finish up and wrap my sandwich but I wanted some additional toppings on my sandwich. She never communicated to me and asked if this is good/complete. I saw her wrapping it up and had to stop her and say hey I wanted some jalapenos and banana peppers on my sandwich as well. She then looked annoyed that she had to open back up the sandwich to add those toppings. This place really needs to do a better job with their hiring or have their workers go through customer service training again. read more

I have been loving a deli sandwich lately and this spot is pretty close by and typically quick so why not. Jersey Mikes makes a solid sandwich and I love spots that have the fresh slice meat and cheese and if you haven't already you gotta try their pepper relish on the sandwich as well. I will say this location seems to be oddly warm inside the last few times I went. There is always a woman working there who I understand is just doing her job but when she is asking you what you want on your sandwich she is not the most friendly and always seems to be rushing you. I think in the future I may just order my sandwich online to avoid going through the line and process of them building the sandwich especially in the afternoon when they are busy. read more

I went in here last week to get a sando and the three young adults working in there were punks! One of them had a nasty look on her face like she hated her job. So, this the second time I've ordered a custom sandwich from this store. First time I had extra bacon it was amazing. There was double the normal amount and I was EXTREMELY satisfied. However, this second visit I feel insulted. I once again requested extra bacon, and they put2-3 strips of bacon on this sandwich. It feels like there's even less bacon than on a normal BLT. Photos for reference. I'm not sure how they make their sandwiches at this specific store but obviously the staff doesn't take their job as seriously to provide consistent quality. The food here is great, it isnt the healthiest for you, but it tastes amazing. The place is generally very clean, too. However, those aren't the reasons why I'm making this review. The reason why I'm writing this review is because while I was in there today and I was getting a sandwich some Uber driver came up to the front desk and shoved her phone in front of the manager's face while he was trying to help a customer, but the manager absolutely stuck it to her and told her that she shouldn't be sticking her phone in front of other people's faces while he's trying to help a customer. I called in for assistance on placing an order me using a promo code...Store manager Elvia (she said her name was) was rude and short. She cut the conversation short on the phone call and hung up. I decided to attempt the online order again, figuring the store may be busy due to the promotion and may be the reason she sounded frustrated. I was having trouble, I called back for assistance again, this time she was blatantly rude and basically said I was the problem and hung up on me mid sentence. I don't think I deserved any of that and didn't get to order my sub. Easily the worst experience I've ever had, especially at a Jersey mikes. Ordered a tuna sandwich via the app to-go today, and when I got home and unwrapped it, everything was completely soggy from the tuna. Even "mopping it up" with a paper towel didn't help. I love a good Jersey Mike's sub! The Mike's way, of course! I am so happy their location is very close to home however, every single time I have been to this location something is done incorrectly. Last time we were there I don't know how the girls mixed up our sandwiches completely. From bread to toppings! It was funny to my husband and I, but it is a little frustrating that errors always occur. Nonetheless, the workers are usually in an upbeat mood. Lastly, their space is small but tidy and quiet! I came in today 10/14/2025 for 2 subs. There was an online promotion for rainy day special but one get one free and when I told the lady she had SO much attitude about it and said it could be online. So I was like okay no worries I'll pass then, I'll just pay for them. Then she asked me if I wanted to add anything to my Cali sub I said mayo and jalapeños anyways I get to my car and it's not done Mike's way so I come in and I ask her to please make it Mike's way and she's arguing with me saying that I never said that when in reality she asked me what I wanted to add. I always know that they make these things mikes way or at least ask you. She then proceeds to rip my bag grab the sandwich and throw it really hard into the trash. I told her that that's really wasteful. I usually like Jersey Mikes but this location is probably THE worst I have been to. Ordered a giant #6 Roast Beef. The meat was put on in one paper thin layer (and this is a $19 sandwich with tax!). Besides it being extremely skimpy on the protein, the meat was RAW! I like beef medium rare, but take a look at the picture and see if this looks cooked at all to you. I didn't notice until I got home, or I would have completely passed on the sandwich. In addition to RAW meat (Maybe they were trying to do me a favor with the skimpy portion- it literally ended up in the trash anyway), the sarcastic dark haired kid doing the vegetables asked me if I wanted the sandwich "Mikes Way", as usual. I said NO! Because I want to add some things and remove some things from the standard 'Mikes Way'. But sarcastic boy was not having it, and when I told him no, I would like XXX instead, he had to reprimand me - old enough to be his father - and sarcastically say "Next time, just say you want it Mikes Way, and then you can add and subtract from there". HUH??? Super rude, and it was said loudly in a sarcastic, condescending voice overheard by other customers. NOT the kind of employee I would want working in my business. I guess it was just too much for him to compute when I said I wanted red relish, lettuce, pickles and pepperocini. (Instead he wanted me me to say Mikes Way, minus the onion, minus the tomatoes, minus the oil and vinegar and spices, add pickles and pepperocini and red relish??) Note to management: You should ensure your roast beef is actually cooked, and not a raw, purple slab of meat, before someone seriously gets sick. You should also discuss with your staff how much protein a $20 giant sandwich should get, and if they can't eyeball it, (which these clowns obviously can not) then maybe they should weigh the meat out, so customers don't get ripped off and there are some kind of standard amounts used. And finally, if it were my business, I would address the sarcastic, rude, condescending comments made to customers, and stress there is no issue with a customer ordering just the toppings they want, that they don't have to word it the way YOUR ignorant 18 yr old azz pettily demands it. (By the way, that sarcastic comment also cost your and your fellow teammates a tip, so you might want to rethink trying to reprimand a customer that is 2 or 3 times as old as you with your idiotic comments). read more

Ten minutes later they ask again, say the same thing, then I see someone go over and start cooking the "hot stuff." So they served everyone else in line, all new orders, when they were already over the promise time on my order, knew I was sitting there waiting that entire time, when the order was already in but did nothing with it to get the "hot stuff." Very poor service. I've used their catering before also and it was better but unlikely I'll ever use them again. I did not receive the order until just before 1230. One guy in there total was hustling. I wish I would've got his name. No one else had any interest in helping. You obviously have a management issue with this location. read more

Normally I'd give this a higher score because I love Jersey Mike's, but it's very frustrating that this location can never answer their phones. How hard is it to answer the phone? Sometimes I'm driving and I can't use the app and I shouldn't need the app I should be able to call a restaurant and order a sandwich on the phone. I do this every other location no issues, but for some reason this location They only answer the phone a few times it's pretty rare. It's frustrating. Love the food. I normally love Jersey Mikes but am getting a little tired of their inconsistent meat portions. Sometimes I come here and get a really nicely made sandwich. Other times I come here and order the same sandwich, but get literally half the amount of meat. Frustrating I also could do without the eye rolls when I ask for mayo on both sides of the bread. Did you know that you can get a sandwichless sandwich at Jersey Mike's. Just tell them you want to go bunless and they'll put everything in a try that goes along with that particular sandwich. I had the " Jersey Shore Favorite which came with Provolone cheese, ham, and what they call cappacuolo, which is essentially their version of "Capicola." All this came in a small tray with lettuce and a number of other fixings. I liked the way they rolled up the deli meats with the Provolone cheese, and then proceeded to cut them into short rolls. It was a nice presentation. Plus it was nice having the meats and cheese tightly rolled together. You know, it makes for some great meat and cheese love. In addition to the lettuce, I had them add onions, pickles, Parmesan cheese, oil and vinegar, with a dash of dried oregano. It made for a very nice, I guess I could call it, a chef salad. Today my boyfriend and I ordered two subs and they somehow got them both wrong. I ordered a #1 the BLT and they forgot tomato's... tomatoes. It's a pretty essential part of a BLT. Then my boyfriend ordered a #8 and specified No Mayo twice because that's how much he hates Mayo. Then they added Mayo to his #8. $20 down the drain. We picked up from an online order and didn't discover all the mistakes until home. Also found a hair on the sub, I'm odd and doesn't find that as troubling as the above. Was the 3rd person in line and was still there for 30 mins. 5 people behind the counter and everyone in lines subs were being made out of order so was unsure which were mine which led to one being made wrong. The slicer was cleaned in front of us with a dirty rag and was also being used to clean the counters at the same time. I'm unsure if I even want to eat my food now.
