5 stars is not enough for this amazing donut shop! I bought for work & my coworkers all loved them. Very welcoming couple opened up shop early as advertised & they had plenty of yummy fresh donuts available. The donuts taste amazing you can tell they use high quality ingredients, they are super fluffy & inexpensive The shop was very clean & carful when packaging my order. I promise these are so much better than other shops & the owner was super sweet. I had gotten confused & she very nicely explained. The donuts were pretty good. I tried the maple and the Boston cream, and both were good, but the Boston cream barely had any filling. I didn't get the custard until the last few bites. Still, not bad for a quick morning pick-me-up. read more

Saturday Morning donut run at Sunrise Donuts turned out to be a great decision. Service was great, the two ladies behind the counter were helpful and friendly. I stopped eating to leave this review. I have no idea what they put in my sandwich but this was the most delicious croissant sandwich I've had in recent memory. Yes, I missed breakfast, no that doesn't change my opinion. I'm coming back here again. The sandwich was bigger than my dang hand. I'm so glad I ate this in my car bc the way I was devouring it was embarrassing and extremely unladylike. Their matcha milk tea also slaps. Donuts are always delicious and staff is amazing!! I usually get a dozen every time and they'll throw an extra surprise in for me. This last time I saw a filled triangular donut, asked what it was filled with hoping it was chocolate unfortunately it wasn't. The lady behind the counter immediately told me to wait a second went to the back and came back with a chocolate filled one!! One of the greatest little treasures I have found in Surprise/El Mirage area has been this donut location. I saw fabulous reviews of their maple bacon bar & I knew I had to try it. It did not disappoint. I expanded from the maple bacon bar to the cinnamon rolls, which are legitimately the absolute best I have ever had anywhere. I began picking up donut holes for some of my co-workers & every comment, unequivocally, has been "these are the best donut holes I have ever had!" "Highly addictive" and they have become affectionally know as the "crack donut holes," they can never have just one & there is NEVER any left by mid-day, if they even make it to lunch. It's a small shop with ample seating for you to have a little chatty-chat, nosh on donuts or enjoy a breakfast sandwich & wash it down with coffee, tea, or boba! I came on Wed. this past week at 0530 hrs., completely unaware the hours changed. Because the donuts are that good, I waited. Yes, I legitimately sat in the parking lot & waited. I am beyond thrilled I did. Not only did I get the donuts but I was able to discover, the fabulous woman who OWNS this shop; OWNS Royal Boba that I had the pleasure of trying last Sunday. I spoke with her about the hour changes, this business here, & the new one opened just before Christmas. I have been absolutely blown away by the donuts at this location but to chat with her & discover these are HER recipes that are handmade every day, she opened the second business, & has a family & is doing it all with such grace, style, & dignity, made me appreciate this business even more. So much respect for all that she is doing. The customer service is always phenomenal. I always feel welcomed, even from the first time I went in. They have regular customers & they definitely recognize you. I cannot recommend this place enough. Prices are reasonable & beyond worth it. Not many places have the maple bacon bar & again, no one compares to the cinnamon rolls from those buzonea, & well...the donut holes. Amazing. Do yourself a solid & check this place out. It's a little place in a little strip mall & away from the busy shopping area but don't let that fool you! I've driven by this place many times but never really thought about stopping by until I had a sweet tooth. Boy, was surprised at all the unique donuts they had. We love Sunrise Donuts and used to come here quite often when we lived in El Mirage. The hubs and I ventured out this way to grab breakfast at one of our favorite restaurants and decided to grab some donuts as well. The shop is located in a small plaza next to little caesars and a great Mexican shop. There is a decent selection of fresh donuts and drinks. They also have boba which I haven't tried yet but will give it a whirl next time. The owners are friendly and the donuts are so fluffy and good!! We stop by anytime we are in the area and the donuts are ALWAYS fresh!! read more

The large glazed twist looked just like the cinnamon twist I used to get at Surfin Donuts in California but with chocolate instead of cinnamon. Pretty good too but love cinnamon. Would give it no stars if I could. I had one of the guys at the counter take my order. I only ordered half a dozen donuts and when I had questions about what was on the donuts he would not even answer me just look at me like I spoke some whole other language he didn't understand or would just grab it and put it in my box. When ordering my drinks I wanted two small boba drinks and the guy tried to charge me for a large and small one. It totaled out to $25.49 I gave the guy $30.50 and when giving. Change back he clearly didn't calculate it right I looked at him and told him no I already gave him the $.50 he just didn't understand anything and when asking for my change back since they clearly had no idea what to do he wouldn't give it back. Never coming back and would NOT recommend to ANYONE!!! Don't go there unless you want to be disappointed read more
