We were looking for a possible leak and I contacted them asking if they offered any type of maintenance on their equipment since we don't know what to look for or how it works. We were told there were some valves and a shut off valve located on auto fill feature. Again, not being familiar with any of the equipment involved with said feature we weren't sure what to look for. We ended up digging up the rocks and finding that it was in fact the auto fill feature not stopping causing it to constantly drain out the front of our home. Immediately called the company and left a message and haven't even received a call back. I ended up calling another company to come help me with the feature and show me how the system works. The only advice I received from AJs was they don't offer maintenance and they recommended I call a leak detection company. For the amount of money the former homeowner paid for this backyard I'm extremely disappointed in the lack of care for their faulty water feature, the lack of compassion for helping me to understand how the system worked and the lack of response.

I was recommended to Lebec for a foundation issue after consulting with the inspector about 6 years…read moreago. On contacting them, scheduling was very straightforward. They asked for the inspection report and I provided them with it. I met Edward at the property, and described the problems to him. We walked the outside perimeter of the property. He said that to get into the crawlspace, they charged a $300 crawl fee. I was upset by this because this was never disclosed before and during scheduling the meeting. I reluctantly agreed, and Edward spent about 10 minutes or less in the crawlspace. We discussed what I was looking for in a quote. He made recommendations, including installing a french drain at the foundation on both sides of house. What followed was several attempts at collecting the $300.00 crawl fee, including an e-mail suggesting that they cannot release the quote until they received the fee. All this was happening while a check was in the mail on it's way to them. I met another contractor, and the experience was very different. He went straight into the crawlspace, gave me his initial impressions of what the cost might be, and also recommended against the french drain, mainly because he didn't see any evidence of water collecting in the crawlspace (and neither had I over the past 6 years). He said this would cost an additional $30,000+, and is not needed. After Lebec received their check, they sent me the quote, and sure enough, the french drain install was about $36,000, and their quote for the foundation work was about 30% higher than the second contractor who came out. I don't know what their project results are like so I cannot comment on that, but the hidden price for the inspection, the recommendation for work that wasn't necessary, and the 30% price difference just leaves me unable to trust them or recommending their services.

Elite has all the proper gear/tools, with the right amount of experience / know-how needed for any and all outdoor jobs. Darren and his team are No strangers to hard work. No excuses, No mistakes. They finished ahead of schedule, they went above and beyond our agreement/contract, minor added work w/ no extra fees! They worked at our property for 3 days. Each day they showed up bright and early. They took great pride in their work throughout each day. They had no issue answering questions when my family and I would approach them. Most importantly Elite would clean up before they left each time; knowing that our home has kids and pets after hours. Looking forward to working with them again in the near future. Often their design decisions were very good, but when you're spending tens of thousands of dollars you need get everything in writing and be sure everyone is clear on what is being delivered, e.g., which stones will be used, the type of counter top on the bar table, the ground cover, the appropriate sprinklers and lighting fixtures based on the realities of the family (big destructive dogs, etc.) and other drought-resistant fill to be used. Then again we are landscaping rookies. Next time we will happily pay more to work with a landscaper who clearly indicates what they're going to deliver.

They removed our grass and leveled the area which was very uneven due to our septic settling. They replaced all the sprinklers added drip. They added decomposed granite to an area and built a flagstone and DG walkway. We have acreage and they laid over 3,000 square feet of grass! They also laid gopher wire under the sod. It turned out beautifully.

I had seen Greg's work at a home that he had done, it was a front yard landscape and it looked fantastic. He arrived, and immediately I felt at ease, he was very nice, informative, and listened to what I wanted. He made suggestions, which I went with and I'm glad we did. Greg and Daniel his brother are from Antioch, went to school here, and both are very knowledgeable and work very hard, even on weekends to get the job done right. I still remember when we had a big wind storm, it blew part of my fence down over a weekend. I called Greg and asked if he could come out and put the slats back in and he said, I will be right over. He stopped at Home Depot, picked up wood and everything he needed, he showed up, rebuilt that part, and would not accept any money for the supples or labor. Greg and his crew were very careful with our pool, he covered it to make sure no dirt would get in it, and the end result was amazing. After interviewing three designers, we chose Ian and I'm happy to report that our plans were approved within 48 hours of sending them to the board. One neighbor, who used to serve on that committee, said "these are the most detailed plans I've ever seen". Ian's attention to detail had to have been a major factor in their decision-making process. What we liked about Ian was: he was able to easily and quickly share examples of other designs he had created; he told us that his fee would include revisions, he wouldn't nickel-and-dime us; and he has established relationships with many/all contractors that we'll need to complete the work. I'll update this review as we go through the process...we're only at the approval stage now. We need to have a good portion of the backyard demo'd before the work can begin. But so far, so good.
