Fantastic date night at the Sunroom. We have been here a few times after dinner when in the area and we always end up having a great time. The holiday drink menu selection is plentiful and delicious and the holiday decor and ambience of the room was super cozy and chill. It was pretty busy, but the team works fast and their drink creations are made with expertise. The beautiful presentation and taste of each drink we ordered made us want to order everything off the menu, but we probably would have spent the night if we did that.. We definitely mixed spirits with whiskey, gin, rum, and tequila etc.. but each drink was fantastic. I particularly liked the Top Elf Margarita that had some mango purée and a garnish of a Tajin dried mango slice and rimmed with a tasty peppery salt. The Sunroom is my go-to bar for any friends that come by to visit. It certainly doesn't hurt that it's walking distance from my house but more importantly, the drinks, service and atmosphere are impeccable. They serve all of the classic cocktails but they also have a variety of fun tiki drinks mixed into the menu and they nail them all. Out of the few dozen times I've been, I have yet to be let down! Try their fun seasonal drinks or go for a fun staple - you won't be disappointed. I usually like to get the Aperol Spritz, a Negroni or a fun seasonal drink depending on how I'm feeling. I love bringing friends here for them to get a taste of the Mills 50 area and it's always a good time! It also makes for a great date night spot for a nightcap. It can get a bit crowded on the weekends but I've never had a problem getting in. Pro tip: if you find that finding parking is a little tricky: look for parallel parking along Mills! Most people look for parking in the lot behind the bar or throughout the neighborhood so try Mills out! The only caveat is that you have to be brave enough to run across Mills but it's not that bad. Just use caution! While you're in the area, check out their sister bar, The Guesthouse, which is located next door for a slightly more casual vibe and if you're hungry, go to Black Rooster Taqueria for some amazing tacos which is next to The Guesthouse. I don't know it the sell food, BUT THEY GOT DRINKS! Service was great very attentive, didnt have to wait too long between drinks and the bar was pretty busy. The drinks were fun and strong. The music was nice i would randomly catch myself dancing in the middle of my conversations. It's s a nice spot to bring friends to. The Godfather was nice a strong a smidgen too sweet but i would order again, the Brooklynite i had to try but because im Jamaican, the ingredients were JA rum, lime juice and honey, if you know you know lol. I had been meaning to stop by and check them out and so glad I finally did! It is a nice bar with an awesome vibe! From the moment you walk in, you can feel a nice relaxed and chill ambiance, in a beautiful setting with bar seating and some cute tables. Been here twice now and I really like the vibe of the place. The only thing I don't like is all of their drinks have SO many ingredients and often my friends and I have to look up at least one of them because it's something we've never heard of. The drinks will be unique but sometimes so many things mixed together can be a bit much. We went during the holiday menu which was fun, but we wished they also had their regular menu available. I'm sure they could have made some of the things, but we didn't remember what was on it from a few months back. What a lovely little hidden gem! My boyfriend and I were on our way to The Guesthouse for after dinner drinks on a Saturday evening when this spot next door happened to catch our eye. We took one look in through the window and immediately agreed we were curious and wanted to check it out because it looked so inviting. The entrance is through the rear of the building so you'll need to walk around back in order to enter (we were greeted by an employee at the door who checked our ID's). Once inside, i was immediately feeling the vibe of the dimly lit & sultry ambiance (I was a big fan of the peach/pink lighting) and the music wasn't blaring which I always appreciate at a bar. The establishment itself isn't extremely spacious, but it's cozy nonetheless and there's still an adequate amount of seating (a few spots off to the side) along with a good amount of bar stools (we were easily able to grab a pair all the way at the end upon arriving). It didn't take long at all for one of the bartenders to approach us and take our drink order. The drink menu seemed interesting and the cocktails offered definitely appeared be on the upscale side, but I was craving an espresso martini (when am I not craving an espresso martini, though?). Makes absolutely no sense to have a bar yet only have bartenders serving only one side of the bar and you have to wait over 15-20 minutes for a bartender to actually come over to get your drink order. I've driven by this place idk how many times but after leaving dinner one night my girlfriend and I finally decided to try something new. You'll find street parking and there's also a few spots in the back where the entrance is. When we walked in we loved the vibe. It was it was dark with a dim lit pink light and playing music to match the mood. We found a the bar area is very long but there is also lots of tables along the sides. There are plenty of bartenders who very friendly and quick to ask what we were having and delivered perfectly tasting drinks. Still 5 Stars, but now for a bottle shop during COVID-19 and fabulous bottled cocktails. I'm a huge fan of Sunroom and the Guesthouse, and during this strange time we're in, they've come together to turn Sunroom into a great little bottle shop. So many businesses are changing their business models and pivoting in order to keep their doors open and their staff employed. It's incredible and I truly want to support my favorites. It's pretty cool because even if they don't have the bottle you want, their staff is so knowledgeable that they can steer you to a good alternative. They also have some really fantastic bottled cocktails they've been making. You'd be surprised, but they're truly as good as when you get a drink at Sunroom. Though we may not be able to garnish our drinks as beautifully, the flavor is all there. Finally, I'd recommend grabbing a pin, shirt, and/or tote to help support staff. Give me a good bar for a good nightcap and I am a happy woman. Andi P recommended Sunroom and I am so happy she did. After eating my weight in tacos at Black Rooster, I popped into Sunroom and opted for a negroni. It was absolutely perfect. The vibes in here were great too. The music, ambiance and of course cocktails were on point. They have a robust menu of drinks and the bartenders definitely seem to know what they are doing. They do have innovative, quality drinks but their new menu is one-note and eliminated a lot of their old cocktails that were the favorites of me and my friends. I think they should bring back their most popular cocktails from the old menu along with the new menu. Overall, sunroom is a good place to get a drink, but don't expect it to be fast, especially on the weekend! Finally got a chance to check out this wonderful tiki themed bar. They are right next door to Guesthouse and we have been to that location many times. They opened up at 6 pm so we headed over a bit after that. They have a huge bar space and several booth spaces. The bartenders were very nice and helpful. The menu is extremely extensive and I loved how many options they have - especially that it's broken down by main alcohol that makes up the drink! Holy cow! The space was wonderful. It was super quiet. They have a few people pop in while we were there, but overall very quiet. I had the Grasshopper, which tasted exactly like an Andes mint - so good!!! Try that one for sure. Since we were here at the end of our evening on a Wednesday, I went with a nightcap. I got the Walnut Flip and it was everything I needed. It was basically an alcoholic dessert in a cup. I had a hard time choosing what I wanted, since there were so many good drink options. When the drink says egg, they actually crack an egg into the cup. This is my kind of place, none of that "egg" from a carton shenanigans going on here. On a Wednesday it still had a steady clientele. It looked like mainly college students, making us remark that we felt old, but really this place does seem to be made for young professionals or older college students. Drinks are a price you'd expect, about $11-$13 per glass. It's definitely worth it for this quality. There is a small parking lot in the back, but it was completely full when I was there so I parked in the neighborhood. There was tons of parking. I went here on a Florida winter night looking for some holiday beverages. This place sure didn't disappoint! Their holiday menu offered a good variety of holiday themed cocktails and shots. I decided to go with the Ho! Ho! Cocoa, because it was the only hot cocktail. I was a little hesitant to get it because I never had tequila in my hot cocoa, but damn that was a good hot cocoa. The coconut milk complemented the tequila very well. My boyfriend got the nutcracker nog, which was also delicious. I finally got to enjoy a drink here after trying for SO LONG! I heard about this place from a friend and would walk by and want to go in, but it always looked so busy! So I finally came on a Thursday and was able to enjoy a drink! A few friends and I stopped in Friday night around 6:30pm. There was no-one there! Absolutely not a soul! What! It is a warm, low lit, upscale 'hipster' bar with lots of seating. Selection: The menu is honestly overwhelming and extensive. It is a multi page booklet, laid out in different sections based upon what type of spirit you are looking for. I've been wanting to try out Sunroom for a while now so we planned to meet there. We walked up off of Mills to find the front door wasn't on that side (hint: its around the back). Instead of walking around we ran into sister bar Guesthouse for some refreshments. When we finally made it over to Sunroom, I was pleasantly surprised to see the bar wasn't super crowded. Instead there was a nice small crowd with some quiet conversation happening, perfect for us to catch up! The menu is full of specialty cocktails which actually took me a minute to decide upon. I finally decided on the Chi-Chi and am I glad I did! The drink was carefully prepared and adorned with beautiful dried orange pieces. The drink is light, even with the coconut blend, refreshing and fruity! It was perfect to sip and chat with. My friend tried a Moscow Mule and the Aquavit Smash which she enjoyed both of! (I couldn't order anything other than the Chi Chi! It was exactly what I had been looking for!) The ambiance is very cool and calm. I always take friends from out of town to this spot because it's the perfect combination of lit and chill. They always have such creative drinks and they can typically make anything you're feeling! The bar itself has such a nice vibe to it. Plenty of seating, bar included and spaced out! Bartenders are always nice as well. They do close at 12 though, but you can just go next door to the guesthouse their sister bar and grab drinks there or bring them outside and sit by the fire pit!
