When you ask for a quarter portion of the noodle. Pineapple was spoiled.

Do not order delivery. Asked for 1/4 of the noodles and $50 later for two orders, my meal was mostly all noodle. Asked for mild spice but that was also a miss.

Plenty of parking outside and it is conveniently located next to a Tesla charge station. Place was average not anything to boost about. The hype behind this place is they cook the food in front of you. So they have a food bar where you can pick and choose what food you want. The food they must cook is in another bar section. Impression at first is hey pretty cool but when I went up to the cooked food bar I got mostly broccoli and no meat since people were taking all the meat and no broccoli. They constantly refill both sections with food and are polite. They charge a pretty penny per pound for the food which makes sense why all the people took the meat and no broccoli. The food was average and tasted like any other Chinese fast food restaurant. Lots of seating inside and outside.

Food (5/5): More Asian food in East LA? YES PLEASE! Mongolian BBQ in this fashion is hard to mess up because it's grilled and you pick your ingredients. What made this a 5/5 for me was the variety, and the quality of the meats. I combined pork, chicken, and beef and they were all so tender. I added onion, pineapple, zucchini, bean sprouts, and jalapeños. For the sauces, I added garlic water and lemon juice. My advice is to pour more than 2 spoonfuls to your plate for each sauce they provide because it was a little bland. I had to add soy sauce and sriracha. I haven't tried their Chinese food in the middle but I saw many customers get it and it looked delicious! Service (5/5): The staff are quite attentive! They greet you at the door and direct you to either the Mongolian BBQ or Chinese food self-service. They even ask you if you'd like to try some samples. The cooks also work quickly and thoroughly. Ambiance (5/5): Casual spot with indoor and outdoor seating. Price (5/5): Each pound is ~$7. I spent $17.50!

Came by for quick food before a football game and wow I loved this! It was quick, I got exactly what I wanted and for a fair price! That's all there is to say because the service and concept of the place is that simple. Can't wait to go back!

Another Yelp find that ai have wanted to come to for some time. Am glad that ai did. Tried the Mongolian Grill w/Chicken Shrimp Onions Bell Peppers Mushrooms White Onion Green Onion Zucchini and Sprouts on Noodles. The cook did a great job bringing it all together. The price reasonable as well. The place was lively with plenty of people dining in as well as taking out. Surely will go again. Gratitude and give thanks Sun's Wok and Mongolian BBQ for a fresh tasty filling and pretty delicious meal.

This place is a MUST try! The staff is very friendly and helpful, the restaurant is clean and constantly being restocked with food options from the bbq & chinese food. I am very pleased with my visit and encourage all to give it a try. 1 plate goes a long way!

Selections here are awesome. Cooked perfect and very quick. This place was packed and looks like they just opened. Service was excellent, hostess was really nice and helpful. One big plus, this place is super clean. I was happy there was plenty of seating, inside and out.

must try if you're in the Los Angeles area! Delicious food good quality and fresh ingredients! I highly recommend checking them out and also the Mongolian bbq option aswell both the Chinese food and Mongolian bbq are the same price $7.39 per pound and they got Boba under $4 aswell I had chow mein, orange chicken, teriyaki chicken, coconut shrimp, a pork chop n beef n broccoli with mostly beef because I can. I love how you serve yourself exactly what you want so you pay for what you want without wasting food or over spending! Portion sizes: cheap price for a whole pound of food 2 pounds will feed 2 people! Cost-effectiveness: only $7.39 per pound for both Chinese food and Mongolian bbq and they got Boba under $4 very fast service and Mongolian bbq grill is also quick! Great casual vibe aswell you can go in and out very fast and be on your way!

We walk in and the restaurant is clean. We were greeted by a staff member (seemed like the manager) who explained to us how everything works. Long story short, all food is weighed by the pound ~$7.99 per pound. Cool. My husband and I decided we'd try both. The Chinese food was cold. It was like the warmers weren't even on. We had the orange chicken, honey walnut shrimp and (I think the red one is pork). Anyways, the orange chicken and the shrimp were both cold. I would not recommend the Chinese food at all. The Mongolian BBQ was good. They had fresh veggies and many protein options (beef, chicken, pork and shrimp). Similar setup to the Mongolian BBQ that you'd see at the malls, but the mall one has more flavor. I think it's because the mall uses full on garlic and this place uses garlic water. We ordered the slushy drinks twice. We asked the cashier to mix Mango-Pineapple and she said okay, turned around and gave us Mango-Stawberry lmao. My husband didn't want it but I told him let's just take it because she's probably nervous with the line. We most likely won't be back, but the service was great! :)

Go to this place all the time for Mongolian and Chinese and to even order catering! Today in my order sadly found a piece of plastic in my food, from what I have no clue. I'll still be going because the service is great and so is the food. But a little upset that I'm finding plastic in my food.

Great tasty food and super nice service! Good pricing. Fresh food and ingredients. Love their coconut shrimp and bbq pork. Can't wait to go back. Wish they were open later.

Just a really weird looking receipt.

I'll give the place another star or 2 when they know how to give me the correct change back. I was curious to know how much one of the trays were. The person on the counter took 1 tray out so I can see how much 1 was priced at. Then she put it back along with a napkin and fork to be weighed which caused the original price to increase. I pointed it out but I guess she was too tired and disregarded it, and on top of it all, she gave me the incorrect change back. I usually tip but I guess this extra money I was cheated out of is going to her tip. I'll change this review and add more stars if they can just give me the correct change next time.

Excellent value, the ability to be able to pick your own items for the Chinese food is a great idea. I was able to get a little bit of rice and 5 different types of food items for $10! That is great! $12 with a drink. Hard to beat that, restaurant is clean and nice. The owner was welcoming and accommodating. I would highly recommend this place.

Four seasons is great when you want to each pay your own way, but want to hang out with friends. Very easy here as you usually pay first but you can ask to be seated together. Reasonably priced as weekend all day price for adults is $29.99, seniors $26.99 and beverages are $2.99. The food is good, hot and fresh depending on if you are at the buffet line at the right moment as they replenish the food items. The bbq grilled items like Korean short ribs, squid, chicken skewers and sardines are ones you have to time just right as they place it on to the hot plates from the grill because they get swooped up quickly. The teppan grill also just depends on how many are ahead of you. I'm not one to choose buffets as my go to, but if the whole gang is going, I don't want to miss out on the fellowship.

As a remembrance of my dad's birthday, my wife, her mom, and I went to one of his favorite chain…read morerestaurants to eat dinner (after my wife and I had just gotten back from visiting our daughter). I intentionally chose a Golden Corral that we hadn't been before (we usually go to the closer one in Bellflower), and found that this Downey location didn't have the best aesthetics or service, but the food was on point. Gold Corral was already pretty busy when we got there before 5 pm. Dinner pricing was in play, costing $22.79 per person plus $4.39 for a soft drink. One stands in line to enter, grabbing your drinks from the self-serve soda fountain, and then paying the cashier. There was no option to add a tip, which was a bit surprising (since other food places that have far less service commonly add the option to their checkout process). Large sections of the restaurant were on reserve, but there were still plenty of places to sit, so was still on find-your-own table status. Once we found one, said hi to our server and went up. Two of the best things on the buffet were the golden fried shrimp (jumbo in size, nicely deep fried in a good oil) which were delicious dipped in their cocktail sauce (though each item were at opposite ends of the buffet) AND their freshly grilled sirloin steak. Once you get the grillers attention, he will fork over half of one, with the right level of doneness according to your request. Even though I was disappointed in learning that the steaks are now delivered frozen, they didn't taste that way. It was very good, as good a steak as I've had at any other fast casual restaurant, and certainly the best at a AYCE place. I tried their well known pot roast as well, and it was the same as before: really tender, going well with the accompanying gravy. I also tried their cornmeal fried catfish: quite good and not overly greasy. Good deep frying seems to be common here. Did notice they had fried chicken and grilled chicken available. Each table had paper napkin dispenser, and condiments like ketchup, steak sauce, and hot sauce. Other things I noticed were the self serve 3 flavor ICEE machine, self serve soft serve ice cream, and chocolate dipped fruits and snacks. What it did not have were two things that I've seen before at other Golden Corrals: a cotton candy machine and a self serve chocolate fountain. They did seem understaffed, as our dirty plates kept piling up and our drinks didn't get refilled. I was tempted to go to the nearby beverage station to just refill it ourselves, but the clear signage stating 'Employees Only' deterred me. My wife did get a server's attention, and he did clear our plates and refill our drinks...thus got a chance to use my 2 dollar bills before we left. We ended up only staying for 40 minutes, which would have disappointed my dad (who made it a rule to stay at least 1 hour at any AYCE place). But we ate well (my mother in law really loved the fried shrimp), which is what really mattered.

Heck, these Chinese buffets even have American food like ribs, pizza and French fries. This place, China Buffet, not the most imaginative name, is pretty decent sized and seems to have a lot more choices than the small town buffets I've seen. More of the more authentic Chineasy stuff that I have no idea what it is, but there's plenty of choices of familiar stuff to keep us all fed, like hot and sour soup, all kinds of noodles and egg rolls and ribs and veggies. Service was the normal Asian buffet service, not friendly, just efficient at filling drinks and clearing the plates.
