    Shrimp tacos THE BEST!!!
    Lola B.

Just one ick.... But I'll explain that at the end. It was our first time here. We had been wanting to try this place for quite a while. We had just seen on IG that the outside was just completed or opened. But from what the owner said, it looks like it had bee open for quite a while. There was someone else there who also came for the first time and we both asked the same question if the outside patio area had just opened versus the inside that we know had been opened for quite some time but we were met with the same answer. The other fellow even said we just saw on IG that the outside just opened lol. But it's okay.... I think we all figured it out. Everything else here was awesome. Great vibes here. Outside was really nice. Malonie provided 110% customer service. The owner was nice. He made rounds to make sure everything was running smoothly inside. She also sold the most delicious cookies. Everything is reasonably priced. Now..... the food.... OOOOH MYYYYYY LORDDDDTTTT.... You MUST get the food here. We want to try everything. We ordered the shrimp tacos .... If not, these are one of the best ever!!!!! The restaurant is clean. Family orientated place. Parking is scarce but we found out later we could have parked in the area that said it was for a supermarket. We felt safe. Came on a Friday. Hopefully soon they will have vodka. I wasn't feeling beer that day but did get one. They offer a variety of beers and wine-alcohol. They do not have hard liquor at this time. The one and ONLY ick I had which I won't put a lower score for is that we waited outside for 20 min before deciding to come in and order. The guy who was taking orders outside wasn't having a great day. It was apparent when we walked in. He was on the phone, most likely on break, and was having an unhappy conversation on his cell. Wasn't trying to pay attention but it was pretty hard not to when trying to make our way to the patio area. We didn't know he was the outside server until a few people said who he was and it would be faster to go inside. Didn't want to dock stars for that. Some of the patrons said he was drunk but none of our business lol. We just wanted to stop by and try out this place. We wanted to enjoy the outside but maybe next time.

Love trying random new things and loving it. The food was delicious. I tried the Korean wings and the gourmet burger and it did not disappoint the girl who served us was super friendly and even gave us suggestions ! Also its super cute in here, they have and painted mural and lots of memorabilia on the walls to check out. Such a vibe

This place delivered for sure! The bbq burger (the outlaw) was exactly what you would want from a bbq burger. The meat was high quality and cooked perfectly. They have a wide selection of beers that they let you sample and could not be nicer. It's always great to find great businesses that have even better people. Great choice after work to beat traffic and watch a WBC game. Shoe string fries were delicious and well salted! You won't regret it. Can't wait to try the brisket on Texas toast next time

A hidden gem and an awesome random find. Place has a nice overall vibe, sports on serval screens, drinks were flowing. Service was excellent all around, very prompt and friendly. Food and drink order was in quick and was served just as fast. I opted for their PUBstrami burger and it was a solid choice. Everything about this burger is quality. Both meats, the pastrami and the burger itself were cooked just right, perfectly savory and juicy. The toppings/greens were as fresh and crisp as can be. All held together on a soft brioche bun. Came with a side of salt and pepper fries. Fries were also great. Definitely going to return and definitely would recommend to others.

Went on a Saturday evening. Friendly, warm staff. Typical brewery vibes (music, sports on tv, seating for groups or at the bar). Food was freshly made to order. Both my burger and fries were piping hot. The burger was juicy, as I quickly got my hands dirty after the first bite. The only reason it's not a perfect score for me is I ordered the OutLars burger, however I received the Outlaws burger. Why they have two slightly different burgers with such similar names phonetically is odd to me. I'll let it slide because the music was up and maybe my server didn't hear me clearly. The burger was still good, thankfully. I suppose I have an excuse to return and try the one i wanted

I tried a bit of everything and honestly, every dish came out hitting. The vaquero fries with prime sirloin steak were hands down the star of the night. The steak was tender with a perfect char, and the waffle fries were crispy and seasoned just right. Pairing it with the chimichurri on the side took it over the top fresh, garlicky, and full of flavor. It was the kind of dish you can't stop eating once you start. Definitely a great shareable plate if you're with a group The chronic fries with added pastrami were another hit stacked high, cheesy, smoky, and super comforting.. The baja shrimp tacos were fresh and bright, loaded with cabbage, tomatoes, and onions , and topped with a creamy avocado sauce that brought all the flavors together without being too heavy. The cali burrito with top sirloin had flavorful, well seasoned steak packed inside along with sour cream and bits of french fries and wrapped with that crispy, cheesy outer layer that adds the perfect texture. Overall, everything was bold, hearty, and full of flavor, but those vaquero fries absolutely set the tone for the night. I'd definitely come back.

Well I finally had a chance to Cruise by and stop in and try the food at Bouevard Gartopub!!! Can I say what took me so long??? From the street you wouldn't know it but this place is holding hostage some badass burgers, especially the Pubstrami. I have had some Pastrami burgers before but this one is on a whole other level!! I posted a picture of it but let me tell you the flavor profiles on point especially when you add some of the house Chimchuri inside the burger and all over rhe fries!!!! As Emril Lagassi would say Bam!! My daughter ordered the Cali Club Burger and just like that she was in burger heaven!!! My Son ordered the Brisket Grilled Cheese you want to know how it tasted melt in your mouth, those were his words!!! Wifey ordered a Chicken Sandwich and well it wasnt a burger thats all im saying :) We did get 2 starters Waffle Fries & Brussels Sprouts and both were fan favorites especially the waffle fries for my wife she said the taste was amazing she could even tell if the cooked in oil. The owner stopped by to say hi and offered one of his Belgium Brown beers and seriously if I didn't live im Gelndale I probably would have stayed for a few more beers so cold and so good!!! The inside was very very cool the bar, and dinning area a re mixed together giving you a very welcoming vibe. The waitress was super nice and very helpful if it wasnt for her I would have never met the owner and got to try out the beer!!!! To be honest 5 Stars doesn't feel like it should he enough, especially because of the food, hospitality, food, beer and food oh did I say there food!!! Dont take my word for it stop in and Eat Drink and be Merry!!!

Excellent service! Came here on a Friday night for date night and it was loud and fun. Food and drinks came out in less than 3 minutes when I ordered. Lots of different food options but if you have a craving for tacos need not worry there are plenty of street tacos vendors to choose from when you step outside. We'll be back for the service and delicious food.

    Surf & turf burger!!!

Service was on point. I had a surf & turf burger. Medium-well. It was great! The fries were lightly cooked with good flavor. Beer was a great compliment. I'm glad I made a stop here and will definitely be back!

A good friend suggested we try Boulevard Gastropub for our monthly hang out. Thursday evening we easily found a table and were able to watch a few games from our booth. Malonie greeted us warmly and gave us ample time to review the food and beer menu (which is on a TV near the entrance). We opted to try the chimichurri fries other Yelpers have posted and they did not disappoint. The toppings were well-portioned and not overwhelming; the steak was cooked and seasoned properly. (I may return just to eat an order of those fries on my own ) Our shrimp tacos were a great accompaniment with the avocado tacos. I especially enjoyed the sauces - spicy green sauce and chipotle thousand, respectively. Each complemented the seafood and avo to enhance their flavors. Our beer flights were delicious and service was friendly, patient, and consistent. Be sure to take advantage of the dedicated parking lot located just before the restaurant (you may miss it and have to circle the block like we did). Can't wait for our next visit!

    Pint life

We decided to try this place as it's part of our pint life passport stop. Food exceeded expectations. We had pork belly special, Fall apart in your mouth! Asada fries fully loaded, didn't disappoint. The services was great, constantly checking in and suggested great recommendations. My husband and I will be coming back Melanie and jasmine were great! Food, vibe, and beer were an experience!

    Gotta try the fries

I'm compton raised and always want to support local businesses . And this is a business that for sure we need to support . The food is amazing not just the internet hype ! The customer service is so amazing ! Right when we walked in received with such welcoming vibes . Considerate of my son that is on the spectrum noticed and made it sensory friendly. The music vibes isn't too loud able to have conversation. Will come again !

The arugula prosciutto flatbread needs to be reworked, way too much arugula, not enough prosciutto, and it's bland. Also it would be better with chicken, but why do you have to buy the whole chicken to put on it? The Duck Bolognese was great, but again the meat was hard to find, and the mushrooms were too numerous. The lack of meat in the dishes, coupled with the extra service charge (which you can have removed), doesn't exactly provide an aura of success. All that aside, this place is amazing. The rest of the food was great, excellent service, the best old-fashioned in SoCal, and the place is beautifully designed, giving it an incredible ambience.

Thought this restaurant would be perfect for my wife's birthday…read more Ambiance upon entering was good. Hosting staff was very nice. We had a 7pm reservation on the rooftop. The upstairs host Kori was amazing. She was bubbly, kind and super helpful. Now to our waitress, there was a bit to be desired there. My wife felt like with each thing she asked for she was bothering her. ( I will omit her name out of kindness, she may have been dealing with something personal and having a bad day. ) Now to the food. The Drinks, my wife's Paloma was delicious. I had a Makers 46 neat. Very basic whiskey selections but it was good. Our appetizer, the Artichoke dip came out to us tepid after 20 minutes of waiting for it and the chips borderline stale. I had the Bo Burger, the pork belly and aioli carried it. Fries were ok. My wife had chicken milanese it was fantastic, she just had to request extra sauce. Coke Zeros were flat, we sent them back. So my wife had a Proseco and she enjoyed that. Upon putting in the reservation I stated it was my wife's birthday, Kori even asked we told her and I'm pretty sure it was relayed to the serve who said nothing and didn't inquire whether we wanted dessert or offer anything. My wife asked for a box, she put the box on the table and walked away. We had to ask a busser for a bag and a cup for her sauce. He was very sweet, he filled our waters and asked if we needed anything else. The restaurant charges a 5% fee for the team, you can decline it. We didn't. I even still gave the server a respectable tip. Sadly she could have received twice as much because I used to serve when I was much younger. My wife is a Dorector in the Hospitality industry and she loves giving extra. I understand the struggle but if she was as charismatic as Kori she could make more and really add to the restaurant. Needless to say we will not make the hour and 15 minute drive again.

Trying several items on the menu provided us a nice sampling of what they have to offer. We enjoyed everything we ordered. My favorite was probably the Brussel sprouts as they were cooked to perfection and not sweet like most restaurants serve them. A close 2nd was the chicken parmesan served over zucchini noodles. The final item ordered was a mushroom pasta with shrimp. The shrimp were fantastic with a light char and perfect flavoring. The pasta was good. It was a bit to spicy for me with the chili oil so I only had a small portion. The inside is simple yet inviting with an open layout. They seemed a bit short staffed, but every one was hustling and honestly we were well taken care of. It did look quite busy on the patio when we checked in with the hostess. We were informed that it would prob be about 20 minutes or so for a table and if we wanted to wait at the bar. Exactly what we did. Bar area had maybe 5/6 hi top chairs that look onto the bar. Gabriel and Francisco who were working was knocking the drinks out one by one. Sitting there and just watching them create magic for everyone, it was quite amusing. Seeing how it's made and presented with precise detail, it was an art. While waiting for the table we started off with the raspberry lychee martini and the spicy margaritas. Both were great. The right amount of kick with each sip. Gabriel was knocking them out one by one and man was he busy. Fransisco took are of us while we were eating which we ended up just having our dinner at the bar instead. The last time I remembered the chicken Parmesan which was excellent. So we started off with the grilled prawns as a starters. Five prawns in a skewers and grilled with a delicious sauce accompanied. It was tasty and quite delicious. Decent size and meaty for each bite. Entrees was a little mishap as our meal was mistakenly given to the party next to us which they enjoyed. Honesty mistake but we laughed it off. Kitchen was informed and a rushed was put on our order. We weren't in a rush so it was fine with us. They apologized and graciously offered us a dessert after dinner. Something simple but very graceful for the honest mistake. Entrees, the wild mushrooms pasta which was quite tasty and pretty decent in size. The cream sauce which wasn't too over powering the meal was great. Each bite was very tasty. Then there was the chicken Parmesan which why we were here and expecting. The last visit it was excellent with grilled broccolini, slices of tomatoes on top and mozzarella cheese and onto spaghetti pasta. It was great. Thinking it would be the same this time which it wasn't. This visit, it was just served with squash pasta and buffalo mozzarella on top. Honestly it wasn't what I expected, somewhat of a little disappointed. Chicken was good don't get me wrong. But the hot meat with sauce and then you have literally COLD squash pasta paired with it. It was a little underwhelming. Overall, we still had a nice experience. The place was pretty full and of course the lakers were on so it was fun seeing everyone cheering them on. Bar seating for a meal was great as we had fun conversations with both Gabriel and Francisco. Plus they were cranking them drinks out one by one. Excellent in what they do. The drinks were great, grilled prawns and wild mushrooms pastas were excellent. Chicken parm, this time was a miss. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and cocktails. Also the dessert, highly recommend the Cinnabon with vanilla ice cream. Wow, it went down very well. Hoping next time will outdo this.

The place comfy, the ambience is dark and bar-like, the drink vibes look chill, I have no complaints about the service. The service was good and the staff was nice. All this makes the steak disappointment that much worse for me. We ordered Ribeye and Shrimp Salmon Lobster Mac and Cheese Asparagus Lobster Roll (Sushi) A drink from the bar The Steak.. The steak came served on a cast-iron skillet. I ordered it medium-well. It arrived a little more medium than usual, but that was not an issue. What disappointed me was the puddle the steak was sitting in. Traditionally said puddle is a mixture of butter, thyme, and whatever seasonings you used on the steak when cooking it. In this case, that puddle was flavorless. It really tasted like the steak was just sitting in a flavorless oil. The steak was very bland, very difficult to think someone could send out a piece of meat out like that, especially when you find out what it costs. It was not worth it and not worth the final tab unfortunately. Really wanted to find a steak W for Downey but I don't see myself being interested in this place again.

For starters, we got the Parker House Rolls, which comes with truffle butter, local citrus honey, and grana padano cheese. These rolls were so fluffy and flavorful. And let me tell you, that everything was so good. The Smoked & Glazed Pork Chop came with a whole show, where staff would bring out the dish in a smoke-infused glass dome and open the dome when presented on the table so we can smell and see all the smoke. Not only was it beautiful to look at, but it tasted just as beautifully. The meat was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the rainbow swiss chard, cheddar grits, candied pecans, and avocado honey helped balance out all the juiciness from the meat. They use haddock fillet for the Fish & Chips, which was fried to perfection. The Wedge Salad is what actually knocked my socks off! This was one of the best wedge salads that I've ever had. It had your key ingredients: iceberg, buttermilk dressing, red onion, crumbled egg, tomato, bacon gastrique, blue cheese, dill, chives - but something about this salad was different! It was so refreshing, flavorful--just everything you want in a dish. It took 30min to figure out that my order had already been done and given to someone else because there was no communication between the kitchen, order staff or pick up staff. no apology, just got my food after the argument 3minutes later...Food was average, definitely not worth a 30min wait.
