Can you believe it, we were waiting eagerly to write this review! Just had a sunroom built by Sunsational Sunrooms and you will see why we love these guys...posting some pictures along with this review... It all started with this dream for which we were saving for almost 10 years...getting a beautiful sunroom built on our patio... Came across this company on yelp and also saw first hand a sunroom they had built for our neighbors. Our experience with them: After we contacted them, Dennis came in to take a look at the patio, measure and find out more about what we were looking for in the sunroom. He was thorough, patient and very nice to work with. He gave us very good suggestions and the sketch of our Sunroom graced the paper. Joe and Alberto came in and went through specifics with us. We couldn't wait for the work to start and soon enough it did. Alberto and Regulo came in on the weekend and built the entire sunroom!! These guys are just amazing...man!!! Joe was very accommodating to the details we were requesting and very patient with us. He and Lazaro put in our drywall and painted it for us as well. Regulo is a wiz at electrical work as well and worked his magic on our Sunroom. Alberto is really great with understanding your vision in terms of nuances. My husband and I are very detail-oriented and were very particular about how we wanted our sunroom to be and Joe and his team really worked with us in making our dream come true. They also helped us with procuring the permits for our Sunroom. We did not have to worry about a thing. Thank you to Joe and his team for the sunroom - it is magical!!! A very professional and honest group of people indeed! Sunsational Sunrooms is amazing and we highly recommend them based on our personal experience!

The framing team was fast, and they did a very good job.

I can't wait to tell you how much we are satisfied with the job done by Sunsational Sunroom. They saved my project. The size of my sunroom is approximate 18'x19' inside, 20'x20' outside. We bought a house in Newark, which has a un-permitted sunroom. Before we bought the house, several salesmen told us that it was nothing. We visited more than 200 houses in this area, half of them had the same issue. On the first day we got the key of my house, the inspector came to visit us, let us know we were in trouble. We've been trough some hard times, and lost a lot of money. I started to have doubt with people in the bay area until we met the Sunsational Sunroom. They gave me the faith to people again. Part 1. Quote-Dennis I called the number on the yelp, someone gave me Dennis's number, asked me to talk with him. It was pleasant to talk with Dennis. After he came and measured, he gave me his estimate in person. Unlike the other company gave me a price through e-mail, Dennis came to explain the project. He hand writing everything. During the discussion, we have a new idea, he gave us another plan. In the end, he hand drew a final plan for us. He came to my house over and over again. Dennis was amazing. Part 2. Draw blueprint and plan review-Jay Jay forgot my case for about 2 weeks until I made a call to Dennis. He finished our plan and summited it on the following Tuesday. After 4 more weeks, I called the Jay again for the result, he told me he hadn't got it yet. For my other project, I called the Newark city and also asked about this plan check by the way, the staff told me that my plan won't be checked until someday. They always told the one who came to apply that the waiting time is 6 weeks. After a long time of waiting, Jay was not able to get it pass for the first time. After revising, he got a permit 2 month later. Before that, I never saw the plan. The drawing has a huge difference with the one Dennis gave me. Jay told me that it doesn't matter, people can change plan after get a permit. He asked me to pay him the permit fee on the day he got the permit. Part 3. Demolish, framing, and electrical-Alberto The framing team is led by Alberto. Alberto is the best team leader I've ever seen. He cares about the need of the customers as well as the quality of the job. His team was super fast. They demolished the old sunroom in one day. Built it in 3 days! George(?) didn't talk much, but he did a very good job. Regulo spent a lot of time in my house to do the electrical and landing. He always listened to our needs, reported, and did it fast. Part 4. Finish-Joe I'm surprised that the boss of the company, Joe, who did the job by himself. He must enjoyed the job a lot. He also gave me some advise to select the shad. He installed it for me. There are some names that I don't remember, you guys did a very good job. Thank you all. It was a wonderful remodel experience. Highly recommended to whom need a sunroom.

Very pleased with my little sunroom

All told, I am VERY happy with Joe and how well he worked with us to deliver exactly what we wanted. I felt like he really truly cared about what we wanted and ultimately delivered it, communicating more with us once we identified the problems. We are also so very happy with Jackie's attention to detail in his beautiful work. We have a beautiful little sunroom. We really enjoyed working with both Joe and Jackie on this project. They even worked with us when we discovered the sliding glass door opened on the opposite side than we wanted, after it was installed while I was away on a business trip. I felt they were sincere in wanting to make sure that we were happy. In the end, I would use Sunsational Sunroom again - esp. if I could skip working with Dennis and go straight to Joe for more realistic timing and expectation setting. It was a distinct pleasure working with Joe and Jackie. ***** Net-net: Their sales representative Dennis is congenial, but politely nags you with phone calls, supplies a quote with a deadline to rush you, and then sets false expectations on timing. We signed the contract on 3/31, Dennis thought the work would start within 2 weeks of that, and by 6/6 we simply had a cement footer. The 13x7 sunroom was completed the week of 20 June. So just go into it knowing how Dennis is, and rather than expect him to be accurate, put your trust in the owner, Joe, to be realistic about the timing and have a quality sunroom in the end. Once I complained about the unrealistic expectations and a bit of a false start, I felt Joe went the extra mile to start keeping in close touch, including when I was traveling and in different timezones. I really appreciated it and so did my partner, even though this was my own little project I had been planning to do for 10 years. Joe showed that he is genuinely concerned about the customer's concerns, I felt more like a valued customer and Jackie, the main builder, could not have been nicer having onsite building it out. Jackie is also very organized and clean - he left hardly a speck of anything on his work site. The quality of the work has been top notch, and I'm really enjoying the sunroom.

What was going on and what was happening if I had any concerns, he addressed them immediately and make sure that they met my expectations. I would use Wise Builders again and I would request Marc to be my project manager again on any future jobs that I had. He worked really well with our designer Jocelyn, I appreciated having a designer. Having a designer to bounce ideas off have her expertise on fixtures and toilets was amazing. Jocelyn did an excellent job working with me and when my daughter had some changes to this design, she was very receptive to those changes and helped me update the changes in our design The only thing that could have been better is, if the tile supplier had communicated with Marc that the tile for the guest shower floor was backlogged. Marc worked really hard to expedite the tile and was in communication with me along that process. In order to give us options besides waiting for the tile, Jocelyn, our designer gave us an alternative tile. Looking at the tile floor now I like it better than what I had originally chosen. I have done other remodeling projects and I would have to say that working with Marc has probably been one of the easiest remodeling projects that I have done. I appreciated that I did not have to be so hands-on in the project because I trusted that Marc would get it done.

All prior interior work in our house had been done by handyman. I really appreciated the communication from our project manager Marc. He created a WhatsApp chat with me and the incredible designer Jocelyn. They were both consistently responsive to any of my questions or concerns -- and opened my mind to design options. Jocelyn spent time in our home, drafted plans, took me shopping, and sourced all the fixtures. From her spreadsheet I was able to find less expensive options for some items. I appreciated the input and control I had on these expenses. Since we needed to move out, I had a tight timeline for the project -- mid October until Thanksgiving. Marc and the team did their best despite City of San Jose delays with inspections. We were able to move back in before the final inspection. Every member of the team was kind and courteous. Marc also did a great job working with the window vendor that specializes in older homes. I'm rating the experience a 4.5 out of 5 for two reasons. I was disappointed that the medicine cabinet, switch plates, and hooks were initially installed unevenly (it was corrected). I expected more attention to detail. And I was disappointed in the wear & tear that happened on my wood floors as well as the overall dust in my dining room. I was warned that things would get dusty -- but didn't understand the extent and would have packed away more things. WISE offers lots of support with design -- they could also offer as part of their package a full cleaning! I offer this feedback to help others calibrate their expectations. Overall it was a positive experience. I waited several months to post this review until I returned from travel and could see how things were settling after regular use. I'm loving the new bathroom and recommend WISE.

She's one of the big reason we decided to go with Brother Brother. We really appreciated her support. There were some issues and challenges along the way, although nothing major, and they were all addressed and resolved. One thing I especially appreciated about Roy was how responsive and accessible he was. He was always available when we had questions, responded quickly, and consistently gave us the assurance that things would be taken care of. More importantly, he followed through on those promises. He also visited the project frequently and kept us updated on the progress. We sincerely appreciate Roy for being professional, responsive, understanding, and attentive to our needs. We were…read morenervous hearing so many personal stories of architects, designers and builders not working well together or getting ghosted by them, so it was important for us to find an all-in-one shop for our build, which is why we picked GV. We knew this was going to be a monumental project, and it certainly was, as it took over 3+ years due to various city and HOA approval delays. Every construction project had its fair share of challenges, delays, and last-minute changes, but we are so pleased with the final outcome and thankful that GV was our partner through it. A few key highlights from our build: ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN: We unexpectedly ran into numerous challenges and roadblocks during our approval process, but it was the fantastic architectural design that saved us and managed to meet or exceed all of the city requirements. OPEN COMMUNICATION: GV set up a group WhatsApp chat for us that included the owners and every key staff member working on our project. We could utilize it 24/7 for questions, comments and decisions. COORDINATION & SOURCING: We wanted a builder that could handle primary management with all our vendors when it came to delivery timing and especially if there were product issues. GV took the lead in coordinating closely with external suppliers (whether they were recommended by GV or not) to receive, store and install all of the fixtures and finishes. GV never pressured us to use their recommended vendors, although in a few instance, their close relationships helped with not only pricing, but quick follow-ups with any product related issues or replacements. PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT & ONSITE MEETINGS: Huge shout-out to Barry Hahn (our production manager and lead) and the onsite crew (led by Freddie and Fernando) who MET WITH US WEEKLY onsite to provide updates. We always knew what they were working on and if they needed a decision from us, we could come see it for ourselves. We didn't always know the best decision immediately, but the team was patient, explaining and showing us all the options and the factors we should consider. WORKMANSHIP: GV takes pride in doing things right and to the highest quality. One example is when we were going through the home after it was painted and highlighting areas for touch up, our production manager came in over the weekend on his own and identifed even MORE areas than we did. In other words, GV doesn't try to take shortcuts or accept "good-enough" work. No construction project is ever perfect, but GV strives to ensure their workmanship is top-notch. -------------------------------------------------------- Building a brand-new home is always a long journey, but Golden View Renovation proved to be reliable, honest, and skilled professionals who genuinely care about the quality of their work. When we first met with the founder (Tal Shoshan) to discuss our project, he pledged to us that his goal was going to be making sure we were happy and he has LIVED UP TO THAT PROMISE. We highly recommend Tal and his team to anyone looking for a dependable contractor for a major build or renovation in the Bay Area.

Elya provided a comprehensive and detailed walk-through of the entire project plan upfront. This significant undertaking included foundation work, extensive structural modifications for the new roof and walls, electrical work, painting, and all the final finishes. Golden View quickly prepared the architectural diagrams and designs for the new bathroom, which were presented to us for feedback and were exceptionally well-made. Once the designs were finalized, all materials were promptly ordered and secured, and the plan was submitted to the city for permits. Elya diligently followed up with city authorities and provided regular updates, ensuring the necessary approvals were obtained efficiently. As busy professionals with young children, we are extremely pleased we chose Elya as the project manager. Their exceptional management ensured everything was well-planned, organized, and communicated regularly. The pace of the actual construction was notably faster than we had estimated. We were initially expecting the project to take around six months, but it was completed in just four months--a remarkable achievement in timeline management. This was very critical factor for us right from the begining. The quality of the work and the process itself were both excellent. We continued to live in the house during the renovation, and Elya's team maintained continuous checkpoints at various stages, meaning there were absolutely no major surprises. Any minor issues that arose were addressed immediately. Furthermore, the work site was consistently kept safe and isolated, which was a primary concern for us having two younger children. We always received advance notice about what work was scheduled and if any input was needed from us, allowing us to plan our days accordingly. We highly recommend Elya as a project manager and Golden View Renovations for their professionalism, quality of work, and ability to deliver a complex project significantly ahead of schedule.

Overall, the project went well, and we're happy with the final results. Bryan, our foreman, was a strong asset to the project. Even though he was managing multiple jobs at the same time, his responsiveness and willingness to go out of his way to address our concerns made a big difference. Because we were home throughout the process, we were able to catch issues early and communicate them directly to Bryan, who consistently followed through to resolve them. What Went Well: * The tile and flooring subcontractors were excellent - their craftsmanship and attention to detail truly stood out. * Bryan, our foreman, was responsive to texts and phone calls, listened to our concerns, and made sure they were addressed. He even designed a bi-fold closet door for us, and helped pick up all the material to build it. * Bryan also took the initiative to handle several unfinished items himself, which we really appreciated. * The post-build cleaners were top-notch and left the space in pristine condition. * Throughout the project, everyone we interacted with was professional, courteous, and conscientious. There were no conflicts or issues, which made the experience comfortable for us. Areas for Improvement: * The timeline was a pain point. While we were originally told the project would take 6-8 weeks, it ended up stretching to 12 weeks. * The design process fell short of expectations. Because Prime's in-house designers weren't available, our design work was outsourced. We only received a full design package for the master bathroom. As a result, we ended up creating our own renderings for the other rooms to help communicate our vision to the team. That said, we were very happy with the design and material selections for the master bathroom they did complete. We just wish the same level of attention and design support had been provided for the rest of the project. * At times, resource availability was limited, likely due to workers being assigned to multiple jobs. This led to workflow inefficiencies and delays. Toward the end of our renovation, our foreman Bryan had to personally step in to complete several tasks, such as installing faucets, shelving, and baseboards. He managed to get it done in between site visits and meetings, which we appreciated, but it also highlighted a lack of available crew to close out the project. Despite these few challenges, the quality of the work met our expectations. We appreciated the team's effort and the final outcome.

Alon was very helpful through the entire process and took care of things that I am grateful for, like meeting with the city for inspections and coordinating with my HOA. He was always flexible with my schedule and kept me updated on the project. Mia did an amazing job assisting me with the design, she is very knowledgeable and was patient with me during the decision making process. You won't regret working with this team, they're amazing and it's been a dream to come home now after the remodel!

I stumbled onto Done Right as a surprise. After going thru multiple contractors quotes, the day we…read moremet Alon, we were instantly excited about our remodel. From start to finish, they maintained professionalism and kept fluid communications during the construction and remodeling process. You need to start brainstorming of what u want, but they help with ideas too! They suggested a sun tunnel in our hallway, best decision ever-- so much natural light in our house. They suggested bifold closet doors-- saves so much space. You have your ideas of ur new home, but they tweak it to make it better! Love it. On day of demo, we met Jerry, Luis, Jonathan, and Joshua. Jerry and Luis were on top of communication and kept everything on schedule. Jonathan and Joshua were our main guys. They worked every day. They helped with moving our boxes into the storage bin, then started the demo process. How fun was it to see our house completely gutted out in less than one day.. wow. They revamped our home with a stunning remodel--new kitchen, new bathroom, transformed hallway closet space to a new powder room, broke down walls to create a bigger space for our living area, new flooring, complete electrical rewire, new recess lighting with dimmers in all rooms, new attic storage, new closets, new windows, and fresh paint. Everything feels sleek, modern, and functional. Not to mention... we now have an awesome new movie room too! The kids are loving it. Walking into our house now feels like stepping into a brand-new home! The whole process took about 3 months... from demo, to materials pick up, to permits, clean up removal, repaint. At the end, there's a final walk-thru to make sure they didn't miss anything. U pretty much point it out and they will come fix it! My family and I were impressed. Would we be hire again... absolutely!

We mainly use it as a home office during the week and a comfortable place for family and friends to stay when they visit. DevArt8 handled everything from the initial design and permitting to construction and the final certificate of occupancy. The entire project took about seven months. One thing we really appreciated was how they managed the permitting process with the City of Santa Clara. We had no experience with ADU requirements or building codes, but they took care of everything and kept us informed without overwhelming us with technical details. Communication was consistent throughout the project, the crew was professional, and the final result turned out exactly how we had hoped. If you're looking for an ADU builder in Santa Clara, we'd definitely recommend giving DevArt8 a call.

They were clear about the process, realistic about timelines, and didn't overpromise. The San Jose ADU permits side was what worried us most, but they handled it in a structured way. We always knew what was submitted, what we were waiting on, and what the next step would be. That level of communication made the entire project feel calm. The build itself is excellent. Everything feels solid and well finished, from the framing to drywall, electrical, plumbing, and final details. The layout is functional and it doesn't feel like an "extra unit" at all, it feels like a small custom home. We've had multiple friends ask who built it because the quality shows. If you're looking for ADU builders in San Jose who actually know the permit process and deliver high level craftsmanship, DevArt8 is a great choice.
