This year is different from prior years, not sure why. Chicken fingers seem to be about half the size. The french fries were almost soggy like they were fried in old oil. The small cole slaw container was half filled about 2 spoons full but still tasty. Have enjoyed their food since they opened but dissapointed this time. Raising Canes who?!? Stopped in for a quick dinner and was very satisfied with what I found. The staff was super sweet. Our food was cooked to order. Yes the food looks like Raising Canes and the sauce is just as good, but the bread is better and the chicken has more seasoning. Oh and they have chicken wings! Yum! We LOVED it! It's off the beaten path back behind the new Tropical Smoothie-you won't be disappointed. I thought it was going to be like a Canes. They are similar but both have distinct differences. Got some buckets of tenders, crinkle fries, Cole slaw, and assorted sauces. Everything was fantastic down to the Cole slaw. The chicken is tender with a flavorful crust. People have been raving about Island Chicken, so we went to see if it's really as good as everyone says. And the overall family vote is: YES! If you only make one thing, you better do it right, and thankfully Island Chicken has perfected their breading over pieces of white chicken. It's a little lighter than Kentucky Fried Chicken but very flavorful. The pieces are nice and big, so getting the 3-piece meal or the 4-piece meal is all you need for an individual. Some of us did wish that they offered more than just chicken tenders, such as whole fried chickens or rotisserie chickens. But overall, Island Chicken is a really nice addition to Marco Island! read more

We ordered a 6 piece tender meal We ordered it directly on their website. Cost was about $19 - my husband went to pick it up. We decided to share because in the picture the portions looked big. He was like order two! But I was stubborn and ordered one. When he gets back and walks in I kid you not I could smell the food immediately and the bag looked big. I thought ohhh he got another order. When I open the bag it was one order. The portions are huge. Stuffed with crinkle fries, a large buttered toast and 6 large chicken tenders, cole slaw and two dipping sauce. I started eating like a woman who hasn't eaten for days. It was so delicious. It was the perfect comfort food. You got picky kids give them this! lol!!! I will definitely return. First of all, the service was very good, the food service was very fast and efficient, they served me with charming kindness, the prices were very fair for the portions of the food, I tried loaded surf fries and they had ranch, cheese, BBQ, chicken tenders, The combination of flavors was very good, the potatoes were on point, they had the perfect salt and crunchy to enjoy, the chicken tenders were very well seasoned and also with the exact crunchy, I leave with a very good taste in my mouth about this place and I hope to come back soon read more

There are but a few culinary local legends on Marco Island: Su's Garden is THE Chinese place; Sweet Annie's is THE ice cream place; and now Island Chicken is THE chicken place! The (presumable) owner appears to take great pride in his establishment. Anybody who's driven through North Collier Boulevard lately has almost certainly seen him on the side of the road, balloons in tow, dancing his heart away and waving at all who pass by. Mad respect for doing all that in the hot, humid Florida climate. His devotion to his business shines throughout the establishment. The place is brand-spanking new, sporting a sleek logo, clean interior, and modern technology. There seems to be great camaraderie among the staff as well, and as someone who once served in the opening of a new restaurant, that is great to see. But none of this will help a restaurant withstand the test of time if the food isn't good... Which is why I'm very pleased to say that Island Chicken blew my already-high expectations out of the water! The chicken tastes SO FRESH, the fries taste SO GOOD, like HOT DANG that's the stuff! With a formula for success this solid, I'd be very surprised if Island Chicken didn't end up expanding into more locations. But for now, we get this amazing place all to ourselves. Island Chicken is wonderful. The chicken is hot and fresh and never frozen. Some folk have complained to the owners that the chicken is their only meat choice. If you are going to do one thing, do it the best you can. The owner does that. I have gotten Island Chicken a few times and even ordered a tray of 25 fingers so will have many leftovers. I reheat them in the oven and they are as good as the first night. Remember that chicken is even good cold. It's a great choice from the other places on the island. It's fast and very reasonable. Best tenders on the island. Not dry and very crispy. My only negative is you pay extra for the sauce. Happy they are back. Service is good, not a long wait and they are friendly folks.
