    Fried shrimp basket.

We were here after an assignment at the local area. We decided to visit this restaurant during lunch. The restaurant is a opened seating. Since we close to the bar the order is actually through the bar. Food brought out with little wait. I have fried shrimp basket. Unfortunately I feel their fried shrimp is just like grocery prepackaged food to heat up. Not impressive. The cocktails sauce is good for the shrimp. Overall experience is good. Just need to improve the food quality.

The Crazy Flamingo is a local bar and restaurant in Marco Island. It is located not far from the beach, but it is not ON the beach. It is in an area with shops and other restaurants with lots of free parking options. The cool thing about this spot is you grab a seat, go up to the bar inside and order at your own speed! They don't have servers to take your order but they are available for any questions! They call your name over a speaker when your food is ready. They have both indoor and outdoor seating with pool tables inside and it is dog friendly! I ordered 1 lb of peel and eat shrimp and they were cooked to perfect with just enough crunch and easy to peel, it came right out of the shell! The melted butter and cocktail sauce added some great flavor. The menu is limited but offers a variety from seafood to salads, wings and burgers! My husband had the hottest wings you could get (pending flavor, I forget!) and he tolerates anything hot and these had a nice kick! I recommend coming here for a casual night or even lunch!

My family came in because of the name and we did not leave disappointed. We only ordered appetizers but found them all to be very delicious. The giant pretzel was not giant but was so good, it had a little spice to it and good texture. The fries were amazing, crispy and warm. They did forget our salad and fries at first but when we went up and asked they gave us free garlic bread so it's all good. The setup is unique, with there being no servers, you just go up to the bar when you're ready to order. It works well for them.

I was just on Marco Island 2 weeks ago ... and Crazy Flamingo was our first stop for dinner!!! It did not disappoint! Same great vibe, service, food and drinks! I love this hidden gem. If you want classy, snobby or fancy keep on strolling down to the brewery. Thanks for the fun evenings!

First impressions Crazy Flamingo fits the laid back vibe of Marco Island. Perfect in and out spot to grab lunch with the family. The food was delicious and service is fast! Definitely a must try.

We've been hearing great things about The Crazy Flamingo for years, but hadn't ever made it over there on our one-week-a-year vacations since we tended towards any restaurants on the water. Now that we're more full-time, we went over on a Saturday night in season for dinner. There is no wait staff at The Crazy Flamingo. You grab any free table (there may be a wait) or a seat at the bar. There are menus at the bar for you to peruse at your own pace at your table. And then you place your food order at the bar...the bartenders are very helpful with the menu because of this, but please know what you want when you get up there. This is not the time to ask 100 questions about sauces...there will very likely be a line of people behind you waiting to order. The bartender will get you your drinks and then you go back to your table to wait for your name to be called. If you're sitting outside there is a loudspeaker so you'll still hear your name. The Crazy Flamingo is famous for their burger. It comes on a kaiser roll, but they recommend the upgrade to the garlic bread toast which is their signature. I ordered the Fried Shrimp basket which was very good, and my friends both both the burgers...it looked so good. And though the cheeseburger on the garlic bread was a messy indulgence, I was jealous I didn't order it...definitely next time. We sat outside which was really nice. The inside has a pool table and some live music on certain nights. This is definitely a fun locals gem that is very welcoming to visitors.

Wish we ordered another one as it wasn't enough for us (4 people). As this was a take out order, there was a big issue. The app gave options to add for an order. I ordered a spaghetti marina and thought I "added" garlic and oil. But when we received the order, it was just pasta, garlic and oil. Wtf?! Why the heck would anyone order a spaghetti and only want garlic and oil? The option was NOT clear. I thought it was in ADDITION to. So for $20 I got pasta and garlic and oil. No marinara. It's NOT spaghetti! This was a take out order so the experience might not be the same if you eat at the restaurant. UPDATE: The owner, Sami, called me the next day to apologize for the mixup and offered to replacement. Within 30 min I received a still hot spaghetti the way it's supposed to be. Not only that, he added some dessert. As a business person myself, I understand mistakes happen. But when the issue is rectified, it's a testament to the values of the restaurant. The spaghetti was delicious! Not only the food is delicious, but awesome customer service. I can imagine how good the service would be if we ate at the restaurant. Highly recommend. (Went from 1-star to 5-star - the owner never asked me to change my rating)

After my experience on Thursday, February 12th, that's over. At 6:05 PM, I placed a small online order (mozzarella sticks, a calzone, and a sandwich) through their website, as I always do. Estimated pickup: 29 to 34 minutes. I arrived at 6:41 with my wife and kids in the car. Food wasn't ready, but "five more minutes." Fine. Five turned into twenty. Twenty turned into forty. During that time, I watched the staff take phone orders and quote every customer "20 to 25 minutes," no matter the order size. When I asked what the holdup was, the staff, who were genuinely doing their best, explained that new kitchen staff were struggling. My son was starving, so I left to grab him food elsewhere and came back about 30 minutes later, confident my order would be waiting. It wasn't. At 7:35 PM, ninety minutes after placing a three-item order, nothing was ready. I asked the staff why they were still quoting 20-minute turnarounds when the reality was 90+ minutes. I suggested they pause online ordering to let the kitchen recover. They told me the owner, Jared Grifoni, has instructed them to keep online orders on and to continue telling customers 20 minutes, despite knowing the kitchen is nowhere close to meeting that timeline. That's not a bad night. That's a policy decision to mislead customers for the sake of revenue. I requested a refund. As it was being processed, two of my three items finally came out. When the staff asked the kitchen about the last item, the answer was: "I have no idea when we'll get to that." I left at 7:46 PM, one hour and forty-one minutes after ordering. To be clear: the staff on the floor that night are not to blame. They were put in a no-win situation and handled it as well as anyone could. The issue is ownership making a conscious choice to overload the kitchen, deceive customers about wait times, and let the staff absorb the fallout. When I arrived, the restaurant was nearly full. When I left, it was almost empty. I won't be adding myself to either count again.
