On my last visit, I ordered the St. Louis-style ribs. The taste was off-putting to me, and the sides were flavorless. I come back seduced by a 10 percent discount. I knew what I wanted. I ordered their baby back ribs. The taste was similar to the order of St. Louis-style ribs I had earlier. What I really enjoyed were the collard greens. Perfect taste with nice chunks of pork. The last time, the slaw had no flavor; this time, no flavor. Mrs. K declared her sides had no flavor. I am looking at the 4-star average and wondering if it's me? Our server was great. All of our food came out really fast which i was kind of nervous about because i didn't want it to be cold or anything but it was hot, and delicious. I got the pork sliders. They were a little plain but when i added the bbq sauce it just made it so much better. I'd have to say the star was the banana pudding though. Oh my gosh was it good!! I couldn't eat all of it because it was a huge portion but i would recommend it 10/10. I also had the chili for a starter and i was surprised because it was pork and not burger. We were visiting Naples for the week and looking for a place to eat. My niece found this place and it was a great find. I wish they had another location in central Florida. Super cute looking place we were greeted and sat immediately. What an amazing surprise that my children ate free too. There were four adults and we split the meal for four and had a ton of leftovers. The brisket was all of our favorite. The chicken has an incredible smoky flavor (reminded me of my dads) the ribs don't have much meat but they still tasted great and the pulled pork was good as well had some burnt ends that made me super happy. The corn bread was fantastic. My children had grilled cheese sandwiches and they were huge. (Delicious too) They even surprised us with a giant piece of chocolate cake for our birthdays. It was enough for all 6 of us! Oh and they make their own in-house hot sauce so I had to buy a bottle to bring home. My only negative is it was super hot where we sat. Delicious food in a fun setting! My friends and I went on an off-season Saturday night around 6pm and had no problems getting a table, though the place was very active with families and friends out dining together. We had a table in the back and started with some of the 2-for-1 alcoholic drinks and a batch of nachos. Then for our meals we each tried something different: 1. Burnt Ends with corn on the cob & fries 2. Fried Shrimp with baked beans & fries 3. Lean Brisket with green beans & fries And every meal comes with Texas toast! Overall, everything was awesome...especially the sides. The fries were seasoned to perfection, and really crispy. Next time I'll definitely get the green beans...they were sooo good. I'd be interested in trying the ribs and the quarter chicken next time, too. And the burger also looked so good at neighboring tables. read more

The hubs who is always looking for the next great barbecue place, wanted to try Texas Tony's for lunch. What a great idea, the food was excellent and so was their sweet tea. I ordered the barbecue chicken with mac and cheese and green beans. Perfect southern fare and did I mention the sweet tea? Hubs got the briscut sandwich and was very pleased. He also got some of my chicken, and was amazed how tender and falling off the bone good it was. The sides were perfectly cooked and delicious. Well this might be the best bargain in the Naples area for family dining. Owned by the same group that own Pinchers seafood restaurant, they know what they are doing. Ambiance is BBQ all the way with lots of stressed wood and large tables. The Yelp waitlist feature worked well for us with only a very short wait on a busy Sunday night. Our server was the gruff but loveable Gregg. He was fast, efficient and understanding even though he probably had too many tables. The food was plentiful and solid. The brisket was easily the star; ribs were tender but burnt ends disappoint. My only complaint is that the food was inexplicably cold. Virtually everything including the vegetables. We put our family of (3) on the waitlist and arrived at the restaurant within 10 minutes. The hostess was very kind when we arrived and we were seated shortly after that. Our waitress Jessica was fantastic. Her friendly and sweet personality shined through. We placed our order and when everything we ordered was served we thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was delicious and plentiful. The restaurant is very comfortable and not cramped in with people. The lighting could have been a little brighter where we were seated, but it was not really an issue. There is a relaxed atmosphere and everyone was enjoying their meal. As soon as we walked in, I was approached by a manager who told me I can't bring my hydroflask into the restaurant because " I might sneak in alcohol". My first thought was " This isn't a Carnival cruise". One sniff or look inside would have confirmed that it was just water. Ok Dude. I wanted to walk out and eat somewhere else after that encounter. I showed the server( who was dripping in sweat) my coupon for a 19.00 rack of baby back ribs and when we received our plate, my spouse said " They gave us the smallest ribs because we used a coupon". I never thought of that until I looked at the photos and yep, our rack was TINY. They don't remove the silverskin on the back of the ribs and its pretty unattractive and tough. My wife liked the beans, the potato salad was just ok. The corn muffin that I paid an extra 1.00 for was pretty dry. In total, we spent 30.00. If I walked out after the encounter with the manager, they would have been out 30.00. Is it worth it to alienate customers? read more

Visited Texas Tony's for the umped teen times sad to say my experience wasn't very positive. The wait staff was overworked because they didn't have enough on staff. I ordered the Cuban sandwich which came out. I got a little overdone hockey puck My french fries were overdone. Don't be afraid to send something back if it isn't positive. We pass Texas Tony's quite frequently and think about stopping in. Then we read a heart warming post on a local Facebook group page about an ugly incident with a customer (perhaps I should say an irrational, foolish customer) that was handled by the server and manager to perfection. So enough said, we decided to stop by. We were greeted by two friendly hostesses who offered us inside or outside seating. We chose outside but it was more of a hybrid, lots of fans, open windows and fully covered on top. Just perfect for Naples weather. Our server, Matt promptly arrived at our table and explained every hour was happy hour with two for one specials. Great! We ordered the beef brisket sandwich and the grilled chicken sandwich. Both were terrific with generous portions and fairly priced. Dessert was the brownie sundae, we shouldn't have done it, but we did. Delicious. Perfect for sharing. The manager stopped by to check on how we were doing. Again, super friendly, just like Matt. We will be back. Next time with more people so we can try more menu items. Drove pass this place a few times this week while driving on Tamiami Trail. So the question of the evening was.. what should we do for dinner? I mentioned this place and turns out my daughter and Son-in- law haven't been there yet.( they are foodies like myself). So we decided it would be Texas Tony's. Love the feel of the atmosphere. Wall to wall wood, lots of license plates and huge steer horns on the walls. The smell of beer as we passed the bar walking to our table. I had the full slab of St. Louis ribs and they were fall off the bone goodness. We also tried the brisket which was delicious as well. Our waiter Jon was very serviceable and attentive.
