The owner's eloquent responses to poor reviews does not change facts.... This business sold a vehicle in March of 2024 at auction. Upon my purchase of this vehicle from Speeds auto auction in May After three trips to DMV I still have no title. The owner has been absent and the staff have been hard pressed to take any action to get a surety bond on file with DMV.... Hopefully they can get into compliance with the state regulations for conducting such auctions.... Illegal to conduct an auction if they do not have the proper bond or letter of credit on file....so technically they broke the law and as of tomorrow all vehicles auctioned off since March by them will be under investigation by Oregon DMV Six months of their inability to address this matter ........so far read more

I rented a U-Haul from Sunset Mini Storage on 2/12 to move my family across town and was issued a truck with only an 1/8 of a tank of gas so right away I went to the gas station. As I was filling the tank the gas attendant sprinted up shouting "the gas is overflowing!". Turns out there was a large hole in tank and everything above an 1/8 had poured down the storm drain, $43 worth of gas. With the truck broken down I had to wait for an hour at the gas station with my family from across town waiting at home to start loading. Sunset Mini could not send anyone but U-Haul eventually did. Meanwhile my wife rented another truck so we could get started. I walked home and afterwards the move was fine. The next day I saw we had been charged twice and that I hadn't been reimbursed for gas. Long story a bit shorter, after at least 10 calls with sunset mini and u haul customer service I have still not been reimbursed. I essentially was ripped off for $163 for the inconvenience of sitting with a broken down truck. The two people who helped me at Sunset seem to have not made my reimbursement a priority as after three weeks I have not been reimbursed for the truck or for the gas that went down the drain. I understand U-Haul has to issue reimbursement, but they will not reimburse without input from sunset mini storage. I'm tired of calling and trying to put pressure for some kind of recourse. At this point I've essentially given up on being reimbursed and have accepted that my family and I were ripped off. I would avoid this place, if something goes wrong you're basically on your own. read more

The staff here is amazing we have been storing our camp trailer and our vehicle trailer here for years and getting in and out of the space has been very easy not to mention if we camp where we do not have full hook up or able to empty our tanks here at the property which is a huge plus for me. After a fire at the storage unit on October 7, 2020, we were denied access to the units. They said the incident was still under investigation. Sunday evening, November 1 we were told we could have access to the units until Wednesday November 4. My son was out of town working that entire week. I took time off work to go to his storage unit and salvage what I could. Sunset Mini Storage offered NO HELP. They offered NO COMPENSATION, NOTHING. They were so unkind that at one point they had my granddaughter in tears by the way they were talking to her. read more

Overall bad experience with this place. Very tight facility for parking an RV. I could barely open the door to to my travel trailer to enter it once it was parked. The RV dump is not easy to use as it requires you to back up onto an elevated concrete pad to use it. Overall the facility is fairly run down as well. The indoor storage units are pretty rickety and have a wood floor. Not an impressive facility. I actually moved to another facility after only 1 month, which leads me to my next point... ...exercise caution when you give notice! I e-mailed my 30 day notice and serval months later June called me saying they never received the notice. Unfortunately for me I had recently deleted all sent email so I had no record of the e-mail. I ended up paying for several months rent when I wasn't even in the state. This place is NOT tech savvy at all as it was like pulling teeth for them to find my subsequent move out e-mail and then respond to it. read more

From the minute I walked in the door I was greeted with smiles, and courteous service. I was really impressed with all the staff who have helped me so far, Jesse and Carena. I got all the info I needed and got to see an empty unit to get an idea of what the place looks like and how well it's maintained. I opted for a 5x10 unit and Jesse set me up with a move-in date and a truck rental. He gave me a smokin' deal by taking the $19.99 amount to rent my truck and taking it off my first months rent. Talk about awesome! I love a good deal. The other thing I love about this place is it's month-to-month, so it's flexible if I no longer need it I'm not stuck in some contract for months and months of a space I don't need. I just have to give them the traditional 30-days notice. I think he also mentioned that I can downgrade if I need to as well, which is perfect! The day I started moving my stuff in it was pouring rain and Carena really worked hard to make sure everything went smoothly for me. I used this location yesterday for UHAUL local and was seriously impressed with the customer service. I was about 15 minutes late dropping it off due to me being a moron and not giving myself enough time, and they didn't charge me for another day. Plus UHAUL has a new online check in feature which makes it WAY faster to get your keys on be on your way. I will definitely use this location in the future! 5 stars!!! read more

Worse place ever!!! Stole church money!!! I got help for a storage unit and uhaul. Called and Mike told me the church could write one check that covered the uhaul for 24 hours, one month storage, and some packing supplies. When I finally got the check, I went to get everything and bottom line.. THEY TOOK THE WHOLE CHECK BUT REFUSED THE UHAUL OR PACKING SUPPLIES,!!!!!!! SO I am stuck with a storage unit that I can't put anything in and they kept every penny!!!!!!!! Who does that to church's and people in need?? They should have honored their promise, gave additional storage time, provided packing supplies, SOMETHING!!! INSTEAD THEY JUST SHRUGGED THEIR SHOULDERS BECAUSE I CAN'T GET ANY ADDITIONAL HELP RIGHT NOW!!! I have never seen anyone so unethical!!! read more

The women at the front desk was nasty to me and my father for returning our UHaul (Which I had tried to call ahead of time, but no one answered the phone). When I asked where we should take the UHaul since they had no space, she gave me a super hard time for even asking for a nearby address. I also doubt that it is legal for them to park all the UHaul's on the side of the road like that... Really weird business, staff and set-up. I do not recommend this storage space at all. For business related to a UHaul or move, I'd recommend going to the nearby one off of TV Highway. They were extremely helpful and professional. read more

Be careful - do not deal with these people, they are not actually part of U-Haul. We needed to buy some medium storage boxes, checked with U-Haul and the price is $27.40 for a bundle of 20. I used my credit card bought them left and got home and realized I had been overcharged by $20, drove back and the older lady says no returns, even though I had never opened them and had the receipt. The U-Haul boxes even have printed right on them that you can return them if you haven't opened them and be reimbursed. This is price gouging. read more

The customer service was the worst I've seen my entire life. Short thick guy behind the counter was High, place reeked of weed and BO. Was very rude to other customers. Not a fan. Rented two units and got hit with an extra month of rent due to their 30 day notice to vacate policy. Why does a storage locker place need the same amount of notice as my landlord? Would definitely recommend one of their competitors who prorate in and prorate out with no need for outrageous notices. Also, the person working the phone was rude through the checkout process. Rented a truck at 5 pm. The lady strongly requested we have it back by 9 am so "she could rent it again". Even made me initial I would have it back by 9 even though it was clearly a 24 hr rental. Greedy business practices make for annoying customer service. We brought it back when we were done, around 11 but I found her request horribly greedy. My only issue which due to my negligence I have yet get resolved is the space that me and my husband have our 5th wheel is very, very tight and we are barely able to get into our 5th wheel and we couldn't even think of sliding out the 2 sections to clean or move through the 5th wheel easier so we need to discuss moving to a space that would allow us to open up the trailer more temporarily. That being said, and that being the only thing I would say to be negative. They are wonderful and so willing to work with us especially during these hard and changing times when money is tighter than ever. Anyone I have spoke to or emailed have been patient, kind, and willing to work with me though I pay late regularly. I have stored our 5th wheel at a few places and the other places are never as kind and open to accommodating my payment schedule. I was at Waterhouse RV and Boat storage right before and it was like night and day. Waterhouse was so rude, and cold that place is run by people that could care less about the people that are renting the space and more about getting their money. Just read their reviews. Then we came to Sunset Mini storage and it was such a weight off our shoulders they care about the people they rent to and try to make sure you don't get too far behind on rent and they work with you to get you caught up so that you don't lose what your storing. I would definitely tell anyone to come to this place it's worth every penny. read more
