Update: 50% refund…read more Yeah, don't go with these guys. i had specific instructions for my move both to the rep on the phone (xavier he's great) and to them directly. all were not really cared for properly. I should have just gotten my friends and a uhaul to move, but i was promised it would take 5hrs. i was billed 5.5hrs. tip top of the money i had left. and they didn't even have time to move everything. why? because their recklessness with my things i didn't want them carrying my computer monitors. they were hired to pack and move stuff across portland. they came at 1:30 when they said only to tell me that they didn't know they needed all the packing stuff. they eventually arrived nearly 2hrs later and towards the END Of the original window i was promised without any 'hey we will be there at this ETA' they said they got stuck behind a train, which is fine i guess? but no update after that until i called and complained, which got me a 5% discount, which is nice i guess? but like everything that happened after were MASSIVE red flags, both for the computer and the 'movers' which felt like contractors they just hired for whatever without properly vetting. i had a small move, 2 rooms. they were the slowest movers and most reckless movers i've ever hired. but i don't really blame them fully for that. supposedly they were working since 8am and just drove up from salem or something. they didn't even eat lunch. is that even legal?! no wonder they came to the door exhausted already and out of it. These 2 guys did the best they could, but honestly with how exhausted I was from helping them (something i SHOULDN'T HAVE HAD TO DO), they were doing a good job, but that doesn't really matter. In the end this guy ruined my $2000 custom built standing desk for music. not sure if i can get it repaired or fixed. he undid it and said he will put it back together. it was pretty easy just a few bolts into the joints between the wooden top and the legs and putting on the keyboard tray. easy stuff for the most part (when you have a drill, i don't own one). this guy didn't even look at where he was drilling or understand how the desk was put together after showing him specific things. he just drilled in the bolts and they hit a part that they're supposed to go into but was put in backwards making it impossible (on purpose) to get the screw in. this guy just kept drilling harder and harder and when i asked him about it he was like yeah it's supposed to sound like that. He either was so exhausted he couldn't think straight or just took on tasks he could have said 'yeah i don't know how to do that, can you do it?' either way now i have a broken desk that's only partially built and put together. i am really glad i moved all of my expensive stuff to my place with a friend last weekend, because they definitely would have broken a lot of very expensive things! I also gave them a mattress cover to put on the mattress, and they struggled doing that. You are movers wtf?! i zipped it up about half way and moved on. Then when we got to my new place they didn't even use it and put the mattress on the pavement to get a better angle or something. like what was the point in bringing it?! They also dropped a bunch of precious memories i had in a bin in a bin, they said they took them out because the outer bin couldn't close (bs). They were holding it open wrapped around their arm and i asked them to close it as it doesn't look secure and he said it would be fine, then immediately drops it with pictures and papers dropping on the ground and getting dirty. Anyway this all just happened. and there's no way I can live in my new place due to the lack of time they afforded to me to actually place things in the right spot. At least my bed is in the right spot. luckily for now i am in a short term rental because my last place had mold and why I am moving. i am highly allergic and being there as long as i did, both to wait for them to show up and how slowly they worked on loading the truck, I am feeling sick again because of it. The estimate was low balled to say the least because these guys move at a snails pace because this company overworks them and treats likely their staff like crap. these are probably more desperate people looking for an easy pay day. one guy was like 'i worked 4 days this month' and the other one worked 6 days in a row. a 12 hr day without a break outside of driving (which isn't a break) isn't really fair or legal? I paid nearly 1k for this move, and you can't afford to give these people a proper break between moves? I'm sure they weren't making nearly enough either. Lastly they pressured me to sign a thing at the end of the receipt that says everything was delivered intact, which i didn't sign. Anyway go with another company, not worth the risk. I didn't have another weekend to do this move as i need to have a livable space and that takes time as well. Anyway the movers were careless, slow, expensive, and ignored instructions.

We had a fantastic experience with this moving company from start to finish. One thing that really…read morestood out was how easy it was to communicate with the team ahead of time via yelp messages and their portal. I was able to message with someone online to coordinate details and even adjust our move as plans shifted, which made the whole process much less stressful. On moving day, our crew was incredible. Andy, Miraj, Muha, Tatty, and Aibar were kind, efficient, and thoughtful throughout the entire day. They worked hard, stayed positive, and handled everything with care. You could tell they were experienced and really took pride in doing a good job. Moving can be chaotic, but this team made it feel organized and smooth. Well worth the cost we had a ton to move. We're so grateful for their help and would absolutely recommend them to anyone planning a move.

Two Asian dudes showed up, barely spoke to me, one would only speak his own language while the other would then speak to me in English. They rudely took pics of my apartment, then went and sat back in their truck. After about 20 minutes, the guys came out and said they couldn't do the move because it was "unsafe". Prior to that it was because I had too many small items, and in between that I was told it was because I asked for 3 hours and they'd need 7-9 hours. I called dispatch again and told Karina she sent me two racist movers. She claimed that couldn't be. I explained my stance and she said she'd call me back. Meanwhile, I have no way to move my stuff. Karina said she would talk with her moving team and call me back. Guess what? She never did. I guess you get great service when you have the right skin color. Move your stuff yourself and save the headache. The worst company ever and I don't see how Yelp recommends them. I'm disgusted.

First for moving from my things from my sold home to storage until I found a home to purchase and then a second time from storage to my new home. For each time from the initial contact for the appointment to the final move I could not have asked for better service. All of my questions were answered, I was informed the evening before and the morning of the moves of arrival times so I was prepared. The movers took great care of my things even though they worked quickly and ensured things were left where I wanted them.

We paid for full service because we are both currently injured and could not do the work ourselves, and we came to them through a family recommendation. The crew was scheduled to arrive between 11:00 and 12:00 and showed up around 2:00. We were told there had been an accident, and we understand things happen. But by the time they arrived, we had already packed everything except the kitchen ourselves. Packing the kitchen alone took them roughly three and a half hours, and even then the refrigerator was never emptied and items were left sitting on the counters. The team seemed very inexperienced. They needed direction on the simplest tasks, had zero spatial awareness, and moved at a snail's pace. They were also strikingly inefficient, taking a single item at a time to the elevator and riding up to the new unit instead of loading it first, and theykept doing it even after we suggested otherwise. Eventually we asked them to stop handling our dressers because we were worried about damage and about someone getting hurt. To keep the time and the bill from spiraling, we moved boxes, cleared out both closets, and carried furniture ourselves. It is not an exaggeration to say my partner and I did at least 60% of the move. I ended up moving two large dressers on my own with an injured ankle because they couldn't figure out how to maneuver it into the closet. Afterward we sent a detailed message, and owner Natalya called. The conversation centered almost entirely on the late arrival. The labor we ended up doing and the unfinished kitchen and refrigerator were never really engaged with. When we raised how inexperienced the crew seemed, we were told they had more than 10 years of experience, which flatly contradicted what we had just watched. The most she offered was a $100 discount, which she described as the entire profit on the job. We have used movers several times before for larger and more complicated moves, and every one went better than this. I would not recommend this company.

They do not know how…read more We hired 3 packers today for six hours, they "finished" in less than 3 hours and we are now left with a horrible mess that the loaders cannot load as packed. Who will fix their terrible "work" before the loaders come to move these boxes? There is no time :( They made more work for us, despite us telling them we are ill and this move is an emergency medical move. THEY REFUSED TO LISTEN TO ME AND WOULD ONLY LISTEN TO MY HUSBAND. I HIRED THEM TOO, I AM PAYING THEM TOO, THIS IS MY STUFF THEY PACKED TODAY TOO. Nope, the "little lady" was told they only know how to work one way. This meant that our plan of my husband being on the main floor to direct and help, and me being on the lower floor to direct and help, was not possible. They do not work with you, they work against you. So I will tell you that their one way of "working" is to sweep everything into huge boxes, they do not PACK. What you will be treated to are things like: Example 1: boxes like a 3-foot tall wardrobe box filled to the top with all bathroom items dumped in together, open pump bottles of lotion mixed with digital electronic items, soap, tweezers, toothbrush, everything from every nook dumped into one 3ft tall wardrobe box. Example 2: in packing your family's camping / outdoor gear, they will literally pack the little green canisters of camping propane in with your gear. They DO NOT HAVE ANY IDEA OF WHAT CAN DESTROY ALL OF YOUR BELONGINGS OR WHAT SHOULD NOT OR CANNOT GO INTO THE SAME BOX, OR WHAT CANNOT BE SHIPPED AT ALL. Example 3: Do not bother buying and showing them the flat screen monitor static sleeve covers and Flat Screen Monitor boxes for that purpose, marked TV and FRAGILE, so that the loaders will load and handle your monitors appropriately -- they will respond with nonsense that for them to pack flat screen monitors in boxes they'd have to take the monitors back to their company. They will not use your expensive packing materials for your monitors, THEY WILL REFUSE. Then they will tape one medium-weight moving blanket around a Flat Screen monitor and say it is optimal packing...even though the loaders and movers and unloaders won't know what it is or that it is fragile, so they will have no way of knowing how to handle the item appropriately. You will end up like us, using time and effort you don't have to untape their so-called "work" to then pack your fragile expensive items in your own specialty boxes yourself, because they refuse to do their job. They told us ahead of time they would use our boxes. THEY WILL DEFINITELY ENCLOSE EVERYTHING IN CARDBOARD, BUT THEY CANNOT PACK. They will refuse any suggestion or direction from their "clients," they will lord over you and make a mess of your things. DO NOT HIRE THIS OUTFIT. It would take new packers at least 5 times longer to undo and redo what they were actually hired to do in the first place. We do not have time, unfortunately. Do not invite this nightmare into your cross-country medical move to save your life (hopefully - fingers crossed). They do not respect clients, they will not respect your things, they will make your need greater by expanding problems rather than helping eliminate them. Their attitude is contrary overall, and they act like they're doing you a favor, make more problems than they solve because they do not pack anything, then they cut out on their "job" early. When hourly workers would rather go fast to attain unpaid free time than work slowly for the six hours you hired the three of them with pay, this tells you how bad this company treats their workers. It starts at the top. Worse than hiring no one.

A TLDR: I had a terrible experience with PDX Movers as the movers were extremely unprofessional,…read moreslow, and broke my bookshelf to a point where they had to carry it back to their truck in pieces. To top off the worst movers ever, the lead mover called me a Btch as he was leaving. I was doing an apartment to apartment move to a new complex up the road from where I was living previously and had everything boxed up or disassembled to where they just needed to pick up the items and take them to their truck. I was originally quoted as a 3 hour move as I didn't have a lot of items. I actually used this company the last time I moved and they were able to complete the job within that same quote time so I assumed they would finish in the same amount of time and budgeted for this cost accordingly. I believe the lead mover's name is James and the second is Cole. When the two movers arrived, they moved quickly which I appreciated but they soon slowed their pace to a point where boxes were only being moved individually. They moved so slowly that the lead mover eventually started berating and cussing at the other about they way he was moving the boxes even though he wasnt any faster himself which made me very uncomfortable to listen to. Around the 2.5 hour mark, only 1 of 3 rooms was cleared and the third room was completely untouched and both movers were out in their truck doing who knows what. When they finally came back after about 15 minutes they continued with their slow pace. When the lead took out my bookcase to the truck he seemed to have some issue so he came back to tell me and asked if he could show me in the truck. When we were walking out, we saw the other mover moving the truck to allow a car to pass and the lead started loudly cussing and swearing at the other mover as the lead had not strapped the bookcase down so it had been free standing when the truck moved. I felt this was very unprofessional and made me very nervous and uncomfortable to be around this behavior. When we got to the truck we saw that the bookshelf had fallen over. This is fall #1. About 3 hours in to the move, they finally moved everything out and were ready to go to my new apartment. After a ~10 minute drive we arrived and when they opened the truck we saw that the bookshelf had fallen again despite the lead having strapped it to the side of the truck. This is fall #2. The second mover put it back upright (without strapping it down) and was trying to move my mattress to free their ramp when he bumped into the bookshelf with the mattress causing the bookshelf to fall again. This is fall #3. They started unloading and were continuing to resume their slow pace they had when they were loading the truck to the point where I was able to unpack some boxes by the time they brought up the next box. When they brought up the bookcase I unwrapped it to find the back and the base were completely shattered and it crumbled apart after I removed the blanket. The lead told me he would get me a claims report to fill out but he never did; I will have to call the company to get this report. The move ended up taking 6 hours and as I was signing the documents on their tablet, the lead entered a 0 in their tip screen while explaining that they'd prefer to be tipped via venmo, zelle, etc. so they wouldnt have to pay taxes on it. But before I could tell him I didnt have any of those he finalized the transaction. When I told him I didnt have any of those payment apps and therefore couldnt tip him he immediately pivoted and stormed out the front door, leaving it open. As I went to close the door, I heard him yell to the other mover "HEY, THIS BTCH DIDNT...", I then yelled after him that he needs to be more professional. I regret using PDX movers and Im upset that it took twice as long as my last move (and about 3x as expensive) considering the quantity of items was the same and the distance was about the same. I also no longer own a bookcase.
