OMG: I had my first appointment at Sunset Nails today and it was absolutely amazing. I had been going to a different salon but the quality of my nails and the quality of service was awful. I researched salons in my area and decided to go to Sunset. The salon is so very clean and the staff are friendly. Ana was the technician and she removed my acrylics and gave me a manicure with dip powder. She was friendly, informative regarding care of my natural nails and meticulous in doing my manicure. I am so pleased with my nails and how I was treated. I will definitely return. So glad to have found this salon. read more

I was debating on whether I should update this review because I've had more good experiences than bad...HOWEVER, I had such a bad experience this last time I went to Sunset Nails that I had to re-review. It was the kind of bad experience that you walk away scarred from and can't even process at the time. I went to get a gel manicure. Just gel. The manicurist brought out the dip powder. I should have said no, but I figured I'd try it. Fine. She proceeded to use the file and it hurt and I kept saying "ow". She even drew blood and tried to hide it. Check out my pictures and you'll see how bad it is. This is 4 days later and they are still painful. The paint job itself doesn't even look great. It's okay. Looks terrible with all of the scabbing. I am afraid to go anywhere to get a manicure again because it was THAT bad. I'm horrified that this is how a "professional" does their work. She didn't apologize, she just pretended like nothing happened. read more

Normally I don't like to leave long reviews but I can't say enough about how fantastic my nail experience was today. From the moment you walk in the door they make you feel very comfortable and welcome. I got both a pedicure and full set. I don't know much about nails and wanted to get acrylics since I will be going into the world again. During my pedicure and my full set they continually asked me if I liked the shape, if I like the color, and if I had any questions I was able to ask them freely. In the past I have felt like a burden or that I was bothering the tech but not here. Wish I could give no star. Came there with my daughter because we changed neighborhood. We both had tips . Hers were perfect day one. Mine were awful. The n6 technician had no skills whatsoever. She didn't choose the right sizes for my nails , and she didn't make nice almond shape . I saw them only later with my glasses on. So I returned and requested if they can fix them. Owner was really not happy. He scolded her a lot but tried to fix them. He left after re doing them so he couldn't see how lousy the technician was with gel after. She did stop them again further out of my cuticles but I complained and she went a bit closer. She said she couldn't bring them closer. I left and returned today. Owner was not happy . I asked for better service or refund. He declined refund and even if he didn't check all my nails , he just wanted to put 2 new tips only. I said some are crooked, harsh, they all need tlc and most of them are too small on the one side, even if they looked better yesterday when he fixed them. Result: Get out of my shop. Yes! Because I stood for my rights. I didn't go there either to yell or make a mess. But hell no, I'm not paying $80 plus tips for receiving bs service plus my gas to go there twice. The pics are not even showing how bad they are for real. So would I recommend this place?? No! Pics are always 1h after service. read more

Anyone who disagrees has to just be sad with themselves honestly, i could talk about these people for hours. I'm 17 with out a job and a lot of anxiety so i used to never go get acrylics because i thought every salon was super expensive and i struggle with asking for certain things because i'm afraid to come off rude or be judged. I've came here a total of 4 times now and they already greet me by name, they make everything so easy and comforting i never have an issue communicating with them. While they are slightly understaffed they still do amazing at fitting you into their schedule. i literally love these people with all my heart and i can't wait to go see them again read more

I just want to start off with saying that this salon has such a positive vibe the moment you walk in. My mom and I arrived around 10am and were seated right away. Trang did a full set and pedicure on me. Not only did she do an amazing job but she was so much fun to talk to. Many nail salons just don't take the time to listen to what you really want and Trang was the total opposite. She gave me advice on the color and shape. She's fast but also detailed. I got a pedicure and sadly forgot to get the name of the gal who did my pedi., but she did a great job and was very thorough. My feet were in ROUGH shape. She gave an excellent foot and lower leg massage. That's my favorite part of any pedicure as I walk a lot and am on my feet a lot. I was able to walk in and very little wait to get a chair. It's a family-owned local business that takes pride in what they do and offers quality spa services in a relaxing, pleasant environment. My review is specifically about Daisy. This is one of the best Mani-Pedis I have had in a long time. I only get the basic Mani-Pedi menu item and have natural nails. Daisy was so detailed oriented and preformed every process with so much precision. She had a very calm and gentle demeanor, which was quite relaxing. Changed my mind about dip nails! I had been wanting to try Sunset for a while and finally did - and I'll never go anywhere else! I've never been consistent with getting my nails done because they've always chipped or peeled too quickly. I've also never liked dip - it's always been too thick or it's ruined my nails underneath. They convinced me to try one more time and I'm so glad they did. They listened why I've didn't like dip in the past and really took it to heart. The shape was perfect, the dip was thin, they were not messy underneath, and they lasted for almost three weeks. I just went back and got another mani/pedi and I'm just as happy this time around. This will be my go to nail salon from here in out. They're great and what they do and they're also really nice, helpful, and honest. read more

I like long acrylics and reading previous reviews i don't think this salon does much of those. Everyone is really nice here, it's just the nails are not worth $60. I don't know if I just got the wrong tech because my nails are inconsistent in shape and she cut me up pretty bad around the cuticles. Also cut me on the side under the nail where she filed my coffin shape. I feel like she may have been rushed by the man in charge? I had wanted french tip but they came out so messy I ended up filing off the gel and repainted once I got home. Just really disappointing and a waste of $. read more
