I'm so tired of these places price gulping by telling you one price but then raising the price each time you ask, "How much again" I just like to hear them change it up but then remind them what they originally quoted is what you're paying. Nails turned out good overall. Yes, I'd return! Kym did a good job overall and my pedicure human did a great job taking her time and explaining to me that my nails are healthy. (Forgot her name) sorry! Drink lots of water folks! My only complaint is that, it's a bit hot inside and that they should offer bottled water like other nailshops but this wasn't a deal breaker. READ BEFORE GOING TO THIS AWFUL PLACE!!! Went in on my graduation day for grad nails obviously lol. Traci works the phone and pretty much pressures and very strongly tries to get you to come in. Wendy did my nails and initially everything was going well, until she cut my finger as you can see in the photos, she did apologize and definitely didn't intend to cut me but after then tried to justify her cutting me and making me bleed (that's how deep it was and still hurts to this day) she said something alongs the line of "it's just a small cut, it doesn't hurt" almost speaking for me trying to force me say it didn't hurt she then put some random liquid on the cut, not telling me or my mom what she was doing or what it even was i'm assuming it was something to help but she never told me nor my mom n it burned quite a bit during the whole thing. next was after she finished shapping i noticed that the nail were kinda oddly thin and almost has a curve to it at the end. then she started with the designs and she showed me one nail fully done then js did them all. she also was telling me very eagerly to put my hand in the blue light thing like right after she paints it and right when the light goes off, not leaving me time to look at the nails all together. after i finally got a chance to see a full hand all done close to two hands almost done i immediately noticed what was wrong and didn't know how to tell her so while i'm talking to my mom right next to her Traci comes over and hears us and all of a sudden workers come over saying like " oh ur nails look so pretty so nice" we knew what they were trying to do. i pointed out some of not all the mistakes and Traci said I could could come in the next day to fix one nail. ONE. and as i pointed out the multiple mistakes Traci kept saying "but they look so prettyyy" and then the other workers came over and started saying the same. they continued to say this and other stuff similar. By the time i had realize how poorly done they were it was to late for us to stay there longer and fix them. she also said that "next" time we come back we can get 50% off. pretty ridiculous. she also tried to say that like they can't take any price off because it has already been discounted. the discount she's talking about is when i took off one side of my own nails prior to coming and they only took one hand of nails in when we first came in, so the discount was half the price if her taking my nails off bc i did it myself. again ridiculous. my mom later called and they said they couldn't do any sort of refund at all but that I could come back and get them repainted by Traci, like she would do it any better it was pretty ridiculous for me and my mom considering she spent $80 on these for them to turn out like this. I felt absolutely terrible, started crying again day of my graduation and just didn't know what to do. they need to be out of business coming from a 17 yr old. read more

The staff is very friendly! I chose the #3 pedicure which included the calluses removal and scrub. They have 4 different types of pedicures with #4 being the basic. I chose gel which came out great! CUSTOMER BEWARE: BACTERIAL INFECTION (CHLORONYCHIA), NAIL TECH IGNORING/SKIPPING/CHANGING SERVICES WITHOUT ASKING, SEVERE LANGUAGE BARRIER, TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE I'm sad to say that this is the first negative review I have ever written, in my life, and quite likely the last; I was a bartender and am now a small business owner, so quite customer service oriented, and I know firsthand how much negative reviews impact establishments. But this is a whole other ballpark than cold food and a rude waitress. Came in to get an ugly set of acrylics I got out of town *removed* and completely redone from scratch (not just filled), plus a manicure. The nail tech decided to fill them anyway, and skip the manicure, despite me REPEATEDLY asking her to remove the nails and not skip the manicure. She was feigning that it was a language barrier thing, but I called over another employee to translate and eventually just gave up because I didn't want to cause a scene. (I've come to Vera's almost exclusively for several years now, always bought multiple services +30% tip) At the end I quietly/politely expressed my frustration at her ignoring my requests, paid, and tipped 30% (I hate tipping poorly, so I convinced myself it was just an accident and wouldn't happen again). Two weeks later I removed my acrylics at home due to them being unusually sensitive and painful and found a green/black BACTERIAL INFECTION called chloronychia on 2 of my nail beds, caused by moisture + bacteria that had collected UNDER the set of nails that I had asked her 12 times to REMOVE. Her choice to ignore me, and instead fill the nails instead resulted in an infection that would spread to more fingers. I didn't want them to do any "fixing" the nails for me; they would not be touching my nails ever again. So I took pictures and went in 1 week later (+3 weeks after she filled) because I had a dental appointment right next door to their shop. I tried to ask that we speak quietly outside, but the manager basically told me they were too busy and to hurry up and tell me right there in front of their customers what was the matter. So I did. Rather than the professional response I expected, the manager again needed a translator to effectively communicate, and immediately argued with me, making excuses, trying to pass off the blame to me, claiming it had been a month since I came in (nope, 3 weeks), then claiming it had been 6 weeks since I came in (nope, still 3 weeks), that I should have called and come sooner (so they could "fix" my infected nail with their... tools and supplies? that they use on other customers?!) blah blah blah. She gradually became angrier and angrier and not once offered to do anything to a) right her wrongs and b) prevent the problem from occurring again. I have been seen by a doctor and accurately diagnosed with this type of bacterial infection. I have never before had any type of infection similar or related to this type of thing, despite having acrylics for a very long time. I also have all sorts of documentation to prove the dates are accurate. Needless to say, I will NEVER be returning. I suggest you find a different spot - there's one a block down at Alma School + Germann. read more

I have been going to this place for years due to convenience but it is not consistent. While most of the staff is very nice some of them just don't have the skill set. I went in for a mani and pedi and was so disappointed that I decided it would be my very last time there. They tech barely scrubbed my feet and when it came to the gel manicure I was appalled. I asked for a design and got something my 10 year old niece could do and they very next day my nails started chipping. After 2 days 5 of my nails were already chipped. When I called to complain they told me I would have to pay to get them fixed!!! I got gel nails that are supposed to last at least 2 weeks NOT 2 days. I will not be back! read more

I got a regular manicure and pedicure and the lady that took care of me was so nice and accommodating. when I told her I am super ticklish she stayed away from the area of my foot that is the most ticklish.
