Small little mom and pop place with awesome customer service. Their pizza is authentic and their location is primo! Parking is extremely limited so best to park on the street or alley. That's pretty much anywhere on the beach, so nothing new. I called for a pickup order, but a few min later I called back to see if it was busy and the odds of us getting a table. She said she had one free and would save it for us if we got there within the next 15 min. We jumped in the car and headed over. The lot is shared with a motel, which has reserved almost the entire parking lot. If there is no parking in the few spots immediately in front of Sunset Pizza door entrance, you need to park on the street or alley. The waitress checked to make sure It was me who she spoke with on the phone, and immediately sat us at the table which was already prepped for us. It was perfect timing because the food came out, just as we sat down. Pepperoni pizza was great, dough was perfect, sauce looked homemade with the herbs. Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken was blah and nothing to write home about. That's the only reason I docked a star. While eating our meal, a customer arrived to pick up his phone order. He proceeds to say how he loves this spot and he's traveled many places, and eaten lots of pizza because he is Italian. The employee cooking pizzas responds in Italian, and the customer and him have a little Italian chat. I thought it was the cutest thing! I love hearing other customers feedback, which Is why I love Yelp. That customer basically had a verbal Yelp review! I will def be returning, it's the perfect pizza place when you want to watch sunset after! read more

First time at Sunset Pizza & Pasta. I ordered the Hawaiian (personal size, regular crust) pizza and side Greek salad to-go. The service was so friendly and fast. I ordered when I got to the restaurant (didn't call ahead) and I had my food before I was able to finish a beer. The restaurant has a wonderful family feel, I felt very welcomed sitting at the bar waiting for my food. And the food.... Is amazing! The ingredients are very fresh and delicious. The salad was all romaine and there wasn't a single wilted leaf in it. The pizza is spectacular, perfect wood fire crust with wonderful toppings. The prices are very reasonable, especially considering the huge portion size. The personal pizza and salad is enough for two meals. This has just become my go-to pizza place. read more

We have been going here for a long time. We order our regular end of the week pizza from here. The food is excellent. The Pizza is great. Whenever the seating re-opens, it is a tiny dining area, but very fun place to hang and eat Italian. It's likely the best Italian representation in Sunset beach and surrounding areas at this time. My ONLY complaint is that they only serve coffee, no espresso. I keep telling them that they should invest in a Nespresso machine at least! They deliver locally. read more

The bread is amazing! I'm not a huge focaccia fan but this stuff was crazy good. We got the pesto pizza and also calamari, all were delicious. Great Italian restaurant recommended by the hotel manager down the street. After a long day at the beach we stopped by for dinner before our long drive home. We ordered a pepperoni 8 in pizza, a ham and pineapple 8 in pizza, a calzone and a sausage sandwich. Everything was delicious and fresh. The calzone was served with a cup of very tasty marinara. On the way meet friends at Bolsa Chica for a bonfire we stopped here to grab a quick bite. We walked in with a plan to buy pizzas but the smell of the food they were preparing was amazing. We got a couple of large pizzas, Alfredo pasta with shrimp, and a couple of chicken Parmesan sandwiches. The staff is kind and made sure to include paper plates, utensils, and lots of napkins for our outing. The food was amazing. Everyone loved the pizzas. Ok this place is a staple in Our household! My partner is a Alfredo boy through and through and this is one of his favorite places, plus we're right across the street so it's an easy phone order and pick up situation. My go to is the chicken Cesar salad but I'm trying to find an alternative Because the last few times ive gotten it the lettuce has been very watery, but the staff is really nice and their pasta is amazing! The garlic bread, gratis, is really good and started the meal perfectly. The house made balsamic dressing on the salad was delicious, I could have drank it.
