I had been to red table before a long time ago and was not particularly impressed, but my sister and I decided to check it out for a cocktail. They had the World Cup game on, it was busy but not too busy. I got the Lavender 75 and my sister got a glass of wine that we both enjoyed. I ordered the grilled cheese and tomato soup which was extremely delicious. The bisque was perfect and creamy. We also got a small order of the cheap dates which I have always enjoyed. The highlight of the night, though, was the bartender, Donya. She was handling the entire restaurant and bar. Was personable, friendly and personality plus. She was multi tasking and interacting with all the tables and people at the bar. It was super impressive. We will definitely be back. read more

Another great visit to red table. Laid back local crowd hanging out and watching the nba playoffs on a Wednesday night. Barkeep Danya gave a strong performance managing a busy bar and made me a custom Negroni, which met the mark of perfectly bitter with an extra splash of Campari. Stopped in with family while wrapping up our SoCal sojourn. Though we lived in the area for years before departing the area, regretfully we never had the opportunity to visit here. So happy that we finally did! They have a terrific happy hour from 4 pm till 6 pm so we had a couple appetizers, deviled eggs and coconut shrimp. They were so yummy! For my main course I decided on the Yucatán Chicken and my wife their Spaghetti and Meatballs. Both of those dishes were thoroughly awesome! A terrific taste treat to say the least! For dessert we shared the Banana Pie! So extremely delicious as well. Our waitress did a wonderful job describing the dishes and the cocktails we enjoyed. This is my go-to restaurant when I'm in town. Happy hour menu is great, I had the grilled cheese and tomato soup and crispy brussel sprouts. Both were delicious. We were celebrating my mom's birthday and they surprised us with our banana cream pie dessert in a giant spoon. This place is just about looks because the food was not it and the wait time was horrible. The service we had to ask our waiter to give us water like five times and he kept forgetting the food was just not good and this was with reservation so we thought it was just gonna be for Valentines dinner but then the next day for breakfast. It was way worse like we had to wait for our breakfast for over an hour just to get coffee and then we had to wait another 25 minutes to get our food and then another 30 minutes to get our check. Phenomenal food and service, if you've never been Go! The restaurant is located in a sleepy part of HB, Huntington Harbor. The menu has so many options but the cheap dates and boneless buffalo wings are amazing. The bar is always a fun place to sit but there are also booths that are comfortable. I have been stalking this place on yelp for a while and finally tried it last night. The location is a bit obscure best parking is in the back of the shopping center where it is located. The restaurant inside is unique and has a great welcoming atmosphere. Service is great and staff is friendly. The food is delicious and has a well rounded menu of a lot of different types of food. If you haven't been here yet, you need to put this on your list! My husband and I came here on a whim and I was beyond impressed. I usually have a hard time finding good gluten-free food but this place had TONS of options including gluten-free buffalo bites. They were crispy & full of flavor. We would come back JUST for these. My husband had the beef stroganoff & I had the fried fish tacos - that were also gluten free (they use rice flower & it's delicious). He had a side of garlic bread & we shared a crème brûlée (also gf). We both loved our food and definitely want to come back to try some of their other menu items. I ordered the Smoking Jacket which was a terrific old fashioned & he ordered the classic Mai tai that he said was a little on the tart side, but still enjoyable. Our server was Taylor P. She was super sweet, greeted us quickly & took amazing care of us. Our waters were never empty and she always pre-bussed our empty plates. We never had to ask her for anything, she was very attentive. Thank you Taylor! The decor is also so cute & just a vibe. They also have a dog-friendly patio! What an amazing find. I ordered food to be delivered via a third party app at 8:37 and got a call from the restaurant saying they were closed despite having posted opening hours ending at 9 pm. This wasn't a minute or two before 9, which I would understand far more. I wish I could review their food which looks pretty good. But I can't. Because they closed more than 20 minutes early. Had my birthday dinner here with friends on a rainy weekday and the food and service were great! Delicious cocktails and I opted for their Monday special which was chicken alfredo pasta ($15) - rich creamy pasta with lots of chicken chunks. I took half of it home. I recommend this dish! This place is wonderful year meet the greeted :-) this but the one thing that puts a smile on my face? That's got to be the stroganoff what are the new stroganoff... I say this with impunity lol it is so delicious it is definitely not the cheapest item on the menu, but well worth every penny of it flavor is so welcome to texture? This place is super middle of the road and super expensive for what you're getting. However I will say they do pour a good old fashioned. I would be comfortable with drinks and appetizers here, other than that, no go. Staff is friendly though. But just so expensive for what the food is. read more

This is my favorite neighborhood restaurant to take any of my friends to when they come over, but recently I noticed that the prices on their menu noticeably increased, while the serving sizes looked like they got smaller - especially when ordering takeout! But, this place is also a very warm ambiance inside, we also love their outdoor patio and the fact that this restaurant had many gluten free offerings, Is their saving grace to take them from a 4/5 rating to the full 5 stars. In fact, when I first started coming here in 2016, I used to be able to get an order of their fries with their no bones buffalo chicken for a little under $20 and now I just recently noticed that just their no bones buffalo chicken cost $16 now. I mean is it delicious? Yes! Is it gluten free and perfectly fried with the perfect texture? Yes. Does it warrant $16? Not after the serving size got smaller as well, to be quite honest with you. But as a person who adheres to a gluten free diet, they perfectly adhere to delivering quality gluten free options for your: entrees, appetizers, salads and desserts. In fact, I've enjoyed many meals here with something different from every menu category and still thoroughly enjoyed my meal. As a takeout place, their serving sizes could definitely be larger, but they do have your food ready by the time estimated time that is given over the phone and a server will promptly help you complete your order once you arrive, too. As a sit down restaurant to enjoy dinner/lunch inside or outside on the patio, the service seems a little slow, but the food is always on point and perfect, so that seems to make up for their occasionally slow service. This is the perfect place to come to enjoy a meal outside, as they are also dog friendly as long as your pup is friendly and well trained/behaved (minimal barking, too). My favorite dishes are the: southern fried, no bones buffalo chicken with no sauce, the lemon chicken plate and the slice of the flourless chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream. I also really enjoy their regular fries and tomato bisque soup. A lot of friends that have enjoyed meals with me here have raved about their: steak sandwich, the spaghetti and meal ball meal and their tomato bisque and grilled cheese sandwich meal. If you're looking for a big menu with consistent quality meals in the harbour, look no further and run, don't walk to enjoy a meal here. read more

*** LATE POST *** I was here with two BESTIES on 01-08-23. Been here many times before, but RED TABLE never disappoints. Hidden gem behind the TJ's on Algonquin in Huntington Beach, and #iykyk there is parking out back which gets you within a few steps from Red Table's front door. The quality of the food here has gotten even better than I remember (and it was amazing before) and although they seem to recycle the menu regularly, some of the all time faves always survive! One being the "cheap dates"... which, I'd pretty much call their signature appetizer. Don't leave without trying it!! Absolutely delicious, yet simple and a great start to your meal. The presentation on a bed of arugula takes it over the top with a scoop of mascarpone cheese which makes the triple flavor melt in your mouth. Sweet, salty and creamy... BEST EVER! I opted for the chopped salad, which was fresh and delicious! Always feels better (after) to eat something healthy, but I snagged a bite of my friend's Chilaquiles which were (pretty) AMAZING. I've only tried Chilaquiles once before (elsewhere) and remember them being soggy, so I thought I'd never order them again!! These were fresh and crispy with extra thick tortilla chips! Delicious sauce and she ordered a gooey egg on top. My other friend had two poached eggs over English muffins, but as you'll note from the photo, you can tell even something this simple was QUALITY. Both eggs and toast were fresh and looked delicious. It was a bit chilly outside, but LOVE eating outside, so we plowed through. Preferred the patio vs the inside, which can be a little glomy. The ambiance here is cute and festive for the holiday season. The food was decent. I enjoyed my Cajun steak and shrimp pasta. It had a nice heat. It's a modified menu item, recommended to me by my server. My wife had the spaghetti dinner, but found it bland. Service was hectic and the place had a general feeling of chaos. The "front" door is also the hostess stand. There wasn't anyone there when we arrived, so we weren't sure if we picked the right door to enter. Eventually, the host returned, confirmed our reservation, and seated us promptly. Besides the host, I could identify the manager, two bussers, our waiter and a runner. Given how busy it was for the dinner rush in a Friday night, I would've expected a trio of waiters at minimum, but it wasn't very clear if they even had two. After taking our orders, we didn't see our waiter very much. I'm guessing they were understaffed. Other than that, the bathroom was nice and clean, so I had a pleasant experience overall and would likely eat here again. read more

My friend and I eat here a few times a year, and I'm always pleased with the food and service. While the prices sometimes seem a little high, the portions are LARGE, and I've always enjoyed my selection! I can usually only eat half of my entree, so I feel like I'm getting a good deal. The service is always excellent! The dining room is tastefully decorated, the music not too loud, so my friend and I can enjoy a nice, leisurely brunch without having to shout at one another or feel like we're being rushed. My daughter picked this restaurant and it is my first time here. We were seated right away and our orders were taken. The first thing brought to us was meant for another table. When the food finally arrived, the "hot" food was cool to the touch - waffles, eggs, breakfast burrito. No offer to refill coffee cups. Salt and pepper came loose in a small dish and everyone had to use their own fingers. The bacon looked raw. The replacement was super overdone and hard. Waitress wasn't around much. My mom and I came here for lunch and ordered the avocado crab salad off the September chef specials menu and the fish tacos off the lunch menu. We split them and both were very good. Fish tacos had a generous serving of fish in each taco and I loved the flavor of the crema. The crab avocado salad was great! Really happy we tried this special since it's only around for a month. 4 stars instead of 5 because they did forget about us on the patio. I want to start off saying service was great!! I've been to red table a bunch of times over the years because it's one of those places that's close to home. We came here on Saturday to celebrate my birthday dinner with my family. I was sadly disappointed with the food I had the halibut fish and chips and they are so overly breaded that you can hardly taste the fish and lacked any flavor. My youngest had the pasta and giant meatball and said it tasted like Pho so I took a bite and she was right it lacked appeal she took two bites and was done. My oldest daughter had the burger and said it was just okay and only had 1/2 of her meal. My husband was happy with his steak sandwich and our other guest liked his salmon tacos. Overall it was definitely lacking especially for the cost of our whole bill I would have expected a lot more. Working in the restaurant industry I know first hand how much everything has gone up in price but for the price we paid I would have expected Great food. Sadly probably won't be returning read more

Terrible experience. Went last Friday nite with a friend and decided to order (split) the TBone special that was listed as 20 oz. with bone marrow garlic butter on top. Price was $84 for that special. Steak was no more than 10 oz and was probably choice- not prime. Something that could be picked up at Ralphs etc. Marrow butter was almost frozen and cold on top of the steak. We also ordered a Caesar salad. Asked if it had anchovies in dressing and server said No. That should have been our first clue. It's not a Caesar if it doesn't have anchovies. And who puts tomatoes in a caesar? Salad was as my friend said "awful". We did order a bottle of wine (can't do much to ruin that). Very disappointed with spending that amount of money for a dinner and have it be such poor quality. Not a good experience at that restaurant. read more
