Mixed bag experience. The building only does valet, not something radiology can control, but nonetheless, I wanted to park my own car. Huge parking lot, valet only. Im sorry but I am there because of a car accident and I want to park my own car. Anyway, front desk man. Not super compassionate or friendly, but there wasnt anything wrong about our exchange. He was all business. Thats fine. My technician was wonderful and kind and helpful and talked me through the whole thing. The scanning itself was totally fine. The scan room itself is very very very cold. So if you are allowed to wear clothing when you go in, definitely dress warm. Make sure you don't have any metal in whatever you wear, and definitely wear lots of clothes. The checkout lady left something to be desired as well. Again, not super personal. And I was extra surprised when she handed me a CD of my images. Legitimate CD. Like we were back in 1995. And I asked... Will my doctor be able to look at these? I don't know anyone who owns a CD player. And she smirked and basically with a bunch of attitude was like "of course he will." Of course I arrive at my doctor less than an hour later and hand them the CD, and he laughs and basically says the same thing that I did... What is this, 1995? I don't have a CD reader. This office is looking for the absolute cheapest way to get people their images because they dont care as long as they keep costs down, am I right? I understand about the CD being $.10 because it's a jurassic technology. But would it really be that much harder for them to go buy a bunch of one dollar USB readers to give to patients with our images? It was a completely wasted appointment with my doctor because we were supposed to analyze the results, results we couldn't see because this place gave me my images on Jurassic technology. So now my doctor has to sit around and wait until he can get the images some other way. Which is now delaying my treatment, which is extending the period of time that I am in pain since we can't treat whatever is wrong with me since we cant see the images to see whats wrong. So my opinion is... If you're looking to actually get treatment and to relieve yourself of your pains, I wouldn't go here because no one is going to be able to read the results. Cheapskate place can't even spend one dollar on a USB card. read more

The radiologist was very nice and patient I wish i remember his name. They are a great team spa far from my experience. They did a phenomenal Job to actually stay after work hours to take me. This imaging center has the most affordable cash prices in the area. It is nothing fancy, but gets the job done, and has a thorough radiologist with detailed imaging reports. If you need a quick, no fuss, cheap MRI or Xray, I recommend this center. As you always should for any sort of medical appointment; come prepared with your ID, the order for the imaging from your referring doctor, and payment for the imaging. read more

Seriously the least professional radiology center I've ever been to! I had a 9:30am appointment and they took the 10am in before me, right before my eyes! I called to say that I was a little lost and arrived literally ten minutes late, and still waited until 10:30 when they finally took in the 10am. The receptionist told the technician that because I was a few minutes late, he should take the 10am first, even though I had been waiting already for over 30min!!!!! While I waited to en taken in after 11am, the front desk receptionists answered the phone and discussed the patients afterward. Sometimes one would shush the other so I the waiting patients couldn't hear the complaints. Never again!!!!!! read more

their xray machine broke down after i waited 15 min. they told me it probably wont be back up today and that they'll give me a call when it's back so i could come back then making it sound like its not a big deal with no apologies. update-my second visit here took less than 30 min, quick and painless so im increasing this to 4 stars. and also because the parking valet and lobby people made it that way as well. read more

I was here for mri a few days ago and the tech kayla in the back was so nice, she made me feel very comfortable and she talked to me and my wife through the whole thing so we would not feel scared. i definitely recommend coming here! the front desk staff is also very polite and accomodating. if you are mri they will validate your parking. read more

I would avoid this place like the plague. For 2 days prior, they had to cancel my appointments because their machine went down. Then they double and triple book everyone. I call to confirm my time and they guarantee that it won't take more than an hour to get me in and get an MRI done, but instead, my wait time is nearly an hour and a half and the MRI takes twice as long as they said it would. It was beyond unprofessional and I would never want to go to this place again. The one positive - At least they validated my parking. read more

The staff members are unprofessional, i had my CT Scan done 1 week before and they promised to send the reports to my doctor and a copy to me in next 24 hrs but i received the reports after 1 week that too after following up with them twice. After all this when i called my doctor now still they haven't received my reports from this diagnostic center, finally i ended up sending my copy to them. Bad service!! read more

I was shopping around for lowest price to have MRI done on my knee. I was putting it off because I don't have insurance and MRIs are not cheap.. I called a few places, but Sunset Diagnosic has the lowest price by far. I was expecting mediocre servie for the bargain, but I was pleasantly surprised. They are on Sunset Blvd in a nice building. You can pull in with your car and they will valet for you. I was late for my appointment but the receptionist was nice enough to let me in anyway. The procedure itself is not fun if you don't like being in tight spaces (like me), but thats true for all traditional MRIs. They told me they also have open MRI machine for the same price but that's in Woodland Hills which was a little bit of a drive for me. I just toughed it out. The reason I'm writing this review though is because I had a quiestion for the radiologist and I was amazed how they confrenced him in and he brought my exam results on screen and did a whole presentation for me explaining every detail of what he sees. I did not expect to get that much service for the price. My only complaint is that they only validate your parking for 1 hour which I guess would have been enough if I had not stayed after my exam to speak with the doctor... overall I was very pleasantly surprised by the service I got at Sunset. read more

I had my MRI done few weeks ago and could not stop thinking how unprofessional the staff was. I felt as if I was working with a group of school children. They were irresponsible, unorganized, and careless. It took them 5-10 minutes to find out if I really had an appointment and who scheduled it because my paperwork was missing. Office staff had casual conversations (such as blaming, questioning, and gasping about each other's work), they ordered their lunch on the phone while I sat and waited. After twenty minutes and my initial questioning, I found out that the fax did not come through. I decided to take action by calling to my doctor to find out why it was taking so long. I did their job from behind the counter. After the MRI, I saw my driver's license hanging on the office table and had to ask for it. Throughout my time spent at Sunset Diagnostic Radiology, I could not believe the level of unprofessionalism. I understand that we all make mistakes but, in this case, it was just bad service. On the other hand, the answering service was great! I believe, Linda helped me a few times to reschedule my appointments and demonstrated care and willingness to accommodate no questions asked. I was very impressed with this center. I am also a bone cancer patient. The receptionist was very kind. Upon coming into the center I was greeted, my insurance paperwork was all ready for to sign! I was than escorted to the MRI machine by a very educated and kind radiology technician who took his time...aiding me because of the pain I experience daily. During my scan the technician soothed me by asking over the intercom if I was OK. This place is a LIFE SAVER and I would use them again and again. And I have. I probably wouldn't cone here again they tell you over the phone that you dont need an appointment but then you get here and everyone that comes here after you has an appointment so your "walk in" appointment gets oushed further and further back!! Y not just say over the phone you can make an appointment instead of saying you only do walk in for x rays? Could have saved me alot of time read more

I am a bone cancer patient. As part of my treatment I have an x-ray bone survey done every few years. Every bone in my body is x-rayed and examined for evidence of cancerous lesions. I recently had this survey done at Sunset Radiology, and I will never go back. I knew I was in trouble when the tech, who was obviously inexperienced, had to redo almost every x-ray he took, and halfway through had to call in another tech to help out. Aside from the length of time this took, I was also getting double the radiation exposure that I should have. The kicker is that the radiologist wrote a report that indicated that I had evidence of bone lesions and that the cancer had spread. I met with my doctor and when he saw the actual film, told me that they were the poorest quality x-rays he had ever seen and that there was no way anyone could make the observations and conclusions made by the radiologist based on such poor film. My doctor sent me to another radiologist and I had another full set of x-rays done by a competent tech. Well, I just got the report back and I am happy to say the cancer has not spread to my bones! Sunset completely blew the diagnosis. I might add that it was 10 days before I found out that I didn't have bone lesions. 10 days that I can never get back. Please, go to any other x-ray facility and save yourself the grief. read more
