This is a recycling center behind Costco. It is such a perfect place to start your weekend routine. Recycle your plastic bottles, cans, and glass bottles, then get paid. I rarely write reviews. First time I went there everything was great.. second time, I am pretty sure they gave me half of what my recycling cans were worth. It looked like made up weights rounded to whole numbers. Like some others have said you can get double for what you bring in at other recycling centers read more

I have been going to this recycling center for a couple of years and they always are friendly and helpful. They even have soap and water to wash your hands after. FYI. If you don't see them anymore in the front is because they have moved to the back side around the tire center. They don't show you the weight and underpay consistently. MAKE SURE YOU SEE THE WEIGHT AND THEN CONFIRM THE PAYOUT. If I'm wrong then you have nothing to lose. If I'm right, they are proven to be deceptive and you get your money back. Integrity is amazingly short in this society for the sake of a few dollars. I really like the customer service, except for the fact that they don't let you see exactly the weight of the recycled items or the actual weighing of it. Almost all of the recycling centers behind the grocery stores have closed down but glad to say that this one by Costco is still around. It can get pretty busy depending on the time you go, but I feel like it goes fairly fast. Pro tip: sort them BEFORE you get there lol The main guy, I think his name is Kevin, is nice and helpful. You get the cash directly from them, instead of getting a receipt and going inside, like they used to do at the grocery store. read more

I had been quite spoiled for the past several years living 1/2 from the CSULB Recycle Center. Unfortunately it was closed permanently in May. I posted a message on Next Door asking for referrals to another non profit recycle. Not sure why people overlooked that part. When they did give feedback Sunset came up frequently. I haven't recycled since mid-March so there was a pile of full garbage bags in the garage. Loaded them in the SUV and headed over. I was impressed with the operation. They are a pop up operation running in the parking lot of COSTCO Cypress. They are located on the north east side of the building by the tires. The service is fast, friendly and efficient. They even provide soap and water to wash your hands after. Good new with Sunset they don't require cap removal from the bottle. CSULB did. Next time I'll get more out f every bottle. Positive recommendation here. Give them a shot. My only suggestion is to avoid Saturday afternoon when all the Costco crazies are shopping and trying to get the close parking spot read more

First time I have used a recycle center. The person was very rude with no patience. After weighing the cans and bottles he asked mme to sign the slip which had the details of the transaction. I was paid cash but noticed he did not pay me 86 cents. I had to ask him for tHe rest of 55he money aardvark he said oh ok. Not a good fIrst time experience. read more
