I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with Sunshine Car Wash in Wayne, NJ was so disappointing that I feel other customers deserve to know what happened. On July 24, 2025, I brought my vehicle in for what should have been a routine car wash. My vehicle entered the wash in excellent condition, with no damage whatsoever. When it exited, the driver's side rocker molding/trim panel had been extensively damaged and partially ripped off. I have photographs documenting the damage immediately after the incident. What disappointed me even more than the damage itself was how it was handled. I contacted the new owner expecting that the matter would be taken seriously and that there would at least be an effort to investigate what happened. Instead, I was simply directed to a disclaimer stating that the business is not responsible for damage to customers' vehicles. That response spoke volumes. Rather than showing concern for a paying customer or attempting to resolve a legitimate complaint, the issue was dismissed almost immediately. The attitude I encountered came across as dismissive, indifferent, and lacking any sense of customer accountability. In my opinion, the facility itself appears dated and relies on older equipment. Under the previous ownership, I always felt that customer satisfaction and vehicle care were priorities. Unfortunately, based on my recent experience, I no longer have that confidence. I made every reasonable effort to resolve this matter directly before sharing my experience publicly. I gave the owner an opportunity to address the damage, but no meaningful resolution was offered. As a result, I have been left with repair costs and have had to pursue legal remedies. Before choosing this car wash, I encourage anyone to read the other customer reviews carefully. While every experience is different, mine resulted in significant vehicle damage, a complete lack of accountability, and an owner who declined to make the situation right. If you value your vehicle and expect a business to stand behind its service when something goes wrong, I would recommend taking your business elsewhere. read more

I am not sure what happened to this place. It used to be a good car wash place 3 or more years ago and lately I am not so sure. I want there yesterday, 6/12/2025. It was the first sunny day in a while and the first two clues this isn't what it used to be were 1) there was no other cars there at around lunch time (when people at work would have time to do this) 2) the amount of paper and dirt debris that was on the ground around the ramp to into the car wash. I got the silver interior vaccuum and wipe down and the exterior wash for 20 bucks I should remind you that there wasn't anyone before or after me to have to rush me along. But the amount of dirt specks in the car and a dirt streak still on the out side of the car told me this wasn't the value I had remembered it being. So I do not think I will be back again unless it is a gift to go and then I can reasses my feelings on this place. So in closing, I feel there are far better places to get a car wash than here. Honestly loved this car wash (until today)...have been going since I could drive! ... and now I will never go back =( Today my car came out of the car wash with my windshield cracked! After reporting it to the worker, he took my number and said his manager would call. He did and said there is nothing he can do because he looked at the cameras and I had chips in my windshield ON THE PASSENGER side prior to going in for the wash. With the heat today and cold water..I get it. It would have been totally understandable if the crack was on the PASSENGER side! The crack is all down the DRIVERS side (looks like it started in the middle) and goes no where near the chips he mentioned. It looks like something hit my windshield and then cracked, even though the manager Pat said nothing in the washer could have did that. Thankfully I have insurance (unfortunately will have to pay a deductible) but it's pretty shitty customer service! Avoid...because if something happens to your car...they won't help you. I feel like I took $30 & threw it away because my car is just wet & dirty. The inside wasn't even touched...DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!! I had to ask them to clean the side mirror and the picture I took is after the man barely wiped it and said "ok"...like that's what you are going to get. Look at my video & pics and see for yourself...I hate feeling scammed but here I am :( It's infuriating to even look at my dashboard that they clearly did not even wipe!!!! read more

I'd give this place a zero star if I could. I'll never go there ever again. Went there this morning and was slightly in a bit of a hurry but they did not know that. I asked for the Diamond service and these guys just washed the exterior of my car and sent me on my way. At first, I thought that was quick which was because I learned later after I got to my destination that I wasted my $30. The vacuuming and wiping job was laughable. Just when I was leaving I went to my trunk to grab the work bag and that's when of other guys decided to take a towel to wipe up the edges. After trying another car wash I realized my previous review for this car wash was too generous. It will take less time for you to drive to Woodland Park on RT 46 and go to the brand new, super car scrubbing, faster car wash with free car mat cleaning, vacuum, and compressed air to blast out every morsel of dust. read more

These new owners are great! They did a beautiful job cleaning up outside and redoing the inside area with a ton of great goodies to purchase while you wait for your car wash. The team does awesome work on making sure my car looks and stays clean with extra car! Will happily continue to utilize this car wash! read more
