Never a rainy day when you got sunshine! Ever since I started working nearby for the past year I've been coming to Sunshine Donuts at least twice a week. It's a small humble shop that's family owned and operated. You will always be greeted by them whenever you come in and if you go enough, you may even get to know them better and have a conversation. Their doughnuts and pastries are made fresh daily and some of them even sell out within the beginning of the day. My coworker always order a heated cheese danish but sometimes they run out. They're just that good! I, myself, am not so much of a doughnut guy but I love their cake doughnuts with sprinkles and old fashioned doughnuts. They even have made to order breakfast sandwiches and you can choose either a croissant or a bagel to use. They also have coffee available and other drinks like milk or juice to pair with your breakfast. Additionally, they have other sweet treats such as ice cream, smoothies, and teas you can add boba to! My go to order when I clock in for a long day is a bacon, egg, and cheese croissant sandwich. The sandwich comes out to $5.25, which I think is a great price. Sometimes I like to add jalapeños depending on how I feel for an extra 25 cents. Either way, this could be the best breakfast sandwich I've had. Shoutout to Tiger, the owner's son, for always making it fire! I also add on a vanilla iced coffee for $3.50. Keep in mind that they do charge 75 cents for debit/credit card use so in total my go to breakfast comes out to $9.50 or $9.75 depending if I get the jalapeños. For this day and age, any meal you can get for under $10 is a great deal. I would definitely consider myself a regular! read more

Super sad and devastated by the way I was treated I have been coming here for 10 years and had never been treated like this , today I walked in To place an order like I usually do , the lady ( dark skin tone with old style bangs and hair clip ) that was there didn't even ask me what I wanted she simply stared at me for almost 1 minute straight saying nothing , Making me feel uncomfortable til I finally said something . Once I placed my order she rolled her eyes at me making me feel like if I were a homeless asking for food , she came back to charge me still with an attitude , I wanted to say something but I held myself back and simply walked out. why ? My hunger literally went away by the way I was treated I rather cook at home and make myself my own bagel . read more

FIRST OF ALL, WHY DIDN'T I KNOW THIS PLACE EXISTS? So, this very kind Filipina lady who works (or owns) this donut shop is a sweetheart. I was in town, looked on yelp where the nearest donut shop was and this one popped up. I would like to say, it sure is in the GHETTO! HOWEVER, the ghetto will always give you good food 9x out out 10! I bought a jalapeño croissant, it came with ham and cheese with jalapeños on top. I asked for it warm, and holy shit. It was the best warm ooey gooey cheese ever! I never liked ham, but today I enjoyed the probably 5 slices that were in there lol I'm forever trying to support mom & pop shops, and this one was definitely worth the stop. I don't really eat donuts but wanted to try this place as I was buying a dozen for my coworkers. Saw all the great reviews and decide to try it. I was very impressed by the delicious taste of the doughnut. It was crispy but light and fluffy inside. It also was not that sweet. I would highly recommend this place. read more

Had better service in worst places. Asked the lady if she had half and half or milk and she was to quick to said yes. Then when my coffee was served it wasn't that it was the artificial creamer. I don't like it personally. So when I asked her for the milk she looked at me crazy. It's like you said you had some ? I don't understand why say yes and agree.. needles to say I won't return to this one place besides doughnuts tasted stale as well. read more

I have been going here since I was little. I like coming here for the most part but the lady who owns the place isn't very patient...she is nice sometimes but other times she acts very rude. Her employees and her husband are way friendlier and way more patient so they are the only reason I keep coming back The food is good but the service needs some work read more

Their donuts are the best!.. The little Asian lady their is very nice and kind.. I normally get a Bacon Egg & Cheese Bagel. And one time it came out extra krispy.. & she was Like I am very sorry.. I used to walk by this place on my way and back from school. Its always a treat stopping by and being greeted by the same friendly face for the past 20 years. Same great donuts. This place makes me happy. Every time I walk in they greet me with a smile...and not a fake smile...the kind that makes you feel welcome. They have amazing breakfast sandwiches and their donuts are always fresh. Just a heads up, if you pay with a card they charge you 75 cents, but they give you a donut, so I feel like it's a bonus. read more

Rude people work here. I went there this morning for some donuts and waited in line, No problem, This one lady asked whose next after a few min so I let the lady in front of me go since it was her turn. The owner or whoever it was I think told the other girl working to attend to two men who were behind me, they started talking all friendly, they obviously knew them or were regular customers. So here I am standing waiting like a dummy. I told the owner when it was finally my turn again is this how they normally practice customer service here? to attend to the people they know as opposed to who was actually waiting next in line? She said oh I told the girl to attend to them first. I told her that wasn't right, I was in line like I was supposed to be so should have been attended to me first.. No apologies or anything, instead she looked at me like I was wrong. I can see they play favorites here which is stupid because I could have been a regular customer eventually. I'm sure she wouldn't like if someone did that to her. The donuts were decent, nothing special, I actually shouldn't have walked in the because the place for one looks dirty and the customer service was even worse. Never again will I go there. There's too many other donut shops that's cleaner and the donuts taste better. Like everyone says nothing special about these donuts. I suggest going to a cleaner establishment because anyone who likes these donuts I question their cleanliness. This place looks like a dump and probably did my fat azz a favor anyway since I really don't have any business eating donuts right now. read more

This place is a hidden little jewel. I have to first start by saying the family working here is SO NICE! Simply pleasant at all times. The donuts and bagels are fresh and delicious. Unlike other donut shops in the area they take credit/debit cards. There is a charge of 0.75 BUT they give you a free donut for the charge. So sweet. I ordered a yummy sausage and egg everything bagel and waited 5-6 minutes. It was fantastic and I loved it! I'll be back again. Oh parking was plenty open and it wasn't super crowded at the time I went. read more

She offered suggestions and made the experience easy. 5/5 Ambiance The shop was clean and very well organized. I came in one morning before work and wanted to try the eye catching rainbow bagel. I ordered that with plain cream cheese. Just a fun, visually appealing bagel (FYI - the colors do not change the flavors, so it's essentially a plain bagel). I also got a container of their chives schmear or cream cheese because I had a bunch of bagels in my fridge at home. Both the bagel and the different cream cheeses were great. The folks working here are just really friendly, so this is one of those places that I love supporting. Also, there's a good variety of fresh bagels every day as well as different flavored or type of schmears. There's also some breakfast sandwiches for the folks that are more hungry and want all the fixins of a more elaborate meal.

I have been coming here for maybe 20+ years and have seen the two young kids grow up and now run the business. It took a two star experience at a new local bagel place to really realize how much I do love WCB. We don't treat ourselves to bagels often, as I am losing the fight to the chubby demons. But when we do, West Coast Bagels is our spot. My wife and I will usually indulge with a savory bagel each and split a sweet bagel. I particularly love their jalapeño cheese bagel toasted with butter and usually garden herb cream cheese. My wife enjoys toasted garlic or everything bagel and lox. We'll usually share a cinnamon raisin with a sweet spread. I think it's called honey and nut? In the past, I have had a few of their bagel sandwiches, like bacon and egg. They have a pastrami or corned beef bagel sandwich. If I am enjoying a Sammy that day, my absolute favorite is the cold roast beef. Excellent! I love it on a toasted cheese bagel. Their coffee and iced drinks are well above the average bagel and donut shop in taste. But they have a flavored tropical tea that is FxN excellent! Don't sleep on it! I believe it's ¢50 for a coffee or iced tea refill. I don't believe that I have ever tried an espresso drink or premium coffee here. The drip coffee is very good here as well as that tropical iced tea. As far as I can tell, this is a true Mom n Pop family business. I have seen the same cast of characters over the past multiple decades visiting. It is priority to keep to support small businesses whenever I can, and WCB fits that bill. If I really had any suggestion, I would just prefer that they switch to natural peanut butter instead of Skippy or Jif. I really try to avoid hydrogenated oils at all cost. Decor is pretty basic. Nothing fancy by any stretch. I actually don't know if they have a restroom for customers, as I have never seen one. Tables and floor are kept clean between rushes. They don't hound you for a tip, just a tip jar by the register. Usually a good line out the door on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Get there early before your favorite bagel sells out!
