Ahhh I'm pretty sad about this review. I like Smoking Tiger and love their Pineapple Express from their San Gabriel, Buena Park, and Cerritos location. My Pineapple Express taste like the tea has been brewed 3 times over. Our drinks were super light tasting and more watered down. They remade our drinks for us and it was the same batch. One guy went to go investigate and try it for himself but the other guy was already remaking our drinks. Im used to a smaller cup which it packs a punch but im noticing that they used the 16 oz cups, and we got it on a 20% off Pineapple Express day, so wondering if they're watering down on purpose ? Idk wish I could make sense of it.

Legit coffee so close to me from work! This replaced the old boba shops they used to have here, but thank goodness smoking tiger is here. Students are studying, chatting around. Perfect place for quality coffee and pastries! I didn't know there was a Smoking Tiger app, so I got my $5 off for my first drink, which was the Bori-cano. This was pretty delicious! I enjoyed how it was nutty and light. It was also got me really wired, so that was well worth lol. They sell all the viral chewy cookies here for around $4. Drinks are made quickly since it seems that have a good amount of employees behind the counter, when the store isn't too busy. Compared to other coffee shops, it's not as aesthetic as the other smoking tigers, but it's still pretty decent. Definitely still has the boba shop vibe for some reason, but still a vibeee.

Such a great spot to hang!!! Came here on Mother's Day with our loved ones & we're pleasantly surprised by the charming atmosphere of this shop! We were politely greeted and served excellent coffee. We tried the Banana Latte & the Sweet Corn Latte. Both were excellent and you honestly cannot go wrong with ANY of the drinks. We got a few good items such as the croissants, my personal favorite was the musubi croissant! Such an amazing cross over. Will definitely be visiting again in the future. Thank you!

I was in the area and saw that this place opened recently. I got the Smokin Spaniard which is espresso with condensed milk, cinnamon, and hazelnut. It was strong and not too sweet. They also had a little selection of Korean pastries. Lots of seating area which is good for local college students nearby to study. They have an app, staff is nice and the place is clean.

My friend and I stopped by here on the way to their apartment, and it was such a vibe! Drinks were sooo good! We shared our drinks w two other friends, who enjoyed all three lattes as well. My banana milk latte was exactly the flavor I was hoping for, with the nostalgic 바나나 우유 taste from my childhood! And the 죠리퐁 topping on the seasonal latte was such a cute touch Service was excellent- one of the employees checked on us as soon as we approached the line (though we were still checking the menu). He was patient with us when we were indecisive for a while. He also gave us two free stickers, maybe part of some promotion? The aesthetic is gorgeous! Loved the traditional Korean architectural style on the counter design (the woodwork frame pattern)

Located in a shopping center near Cal Poly Pomona. Good amount of parking and seating inside and out. Friendly staff and comfortable interior seating area. Got a Smokin' Spaniard as my drink. Great flavor of hazelnut and cinnamon. Got it hot this time, which I liked. I'll have to try cold next time to compare. Also got a Jalapeño Cream Cheese Musubi croissant, which was something I've never had before. Seems like a lot going on, but it was really good! Their selection of drinks and pastries are different from other places in the area. I'm looking forward to coming back and trying some of their other options.

First time here and it was really good! Tried the Tiger Latte and it was just right - good coffee flavor but also sweet enough without being overly sweet. The breakfast sliders were enough for two (for a light breakfast) and the egg was soft and fluffy. It's four sliders on Hawaiian bread with egg, bacon, cheese, and avocado. It comes with a mayo based sauce and a spicy sauce (great kick!). Sauces are on the side, which is fine because it tasted good on its own, too. Also tried the jalapeño spam cream cheese pastry and that was tasty. The lemon earl grey sconkie (scone+cookie?) was also good; you can taste the earl grey and the lemon cream is a balanced sweet for the pastry. The service was friendly and the girl answered a few questions we had. It's a big place with lots of seating and even has some drink mixes for sale, along with some merch. Forgot to take pics of food and seasonal menu.

Drinks: Jeju Matcha Latte - organic ceremonial grade matcha sweetened with agave Service: made-to-order service; friendly & helpful staff Design: interiors is contemporary with Korean-retro styling and graphics; grey tiled floors, whie walls with wood accents, purple seats and Korean-inspired screen motif; very cool merch designs; cool cup & placemat designs with a cute tiger smoking a pipe Overall: if you want unique Korean-inspired espresso & matcha/hojicha drinks in a cool Korean cafe vibe, then check out this place in Pomona

First time here!! Glad we checked it out today! Located near the Cal Poly Pomona campus, Smoking Tiger Coffee Lab is where JJBoba used to be. Parking is plentiful and the coffee lab is clean, bright, and inviting. The mascot tiger is super cute, smoking a pipe. Friendly staff who help you through all the various choices, including what kind of espresso you would like in your drink! Lots of matcha and coffee drinks. We ordered an espresso tonic and a strawberry matcha, both iced. The drinks were made to order and ready in 10 minutes. The iced strawberry matcha (5/5!!! )brought nostalgic happy memories of my childhood--authentic strong bitter matcha like in Japanese tea ceremonies; --and strawberry milk like my mom made for us (fresh cut strawberries with honey and milk on top for a healthy dessert). So glad I tried it! My husband ordered a second drink, an iced Tiger latte (caramel and brown sugar espresso with oat milk) Lots of tables available where friends gather to catch up, or to study. Very packed on a Sunday afternoon! Highly recommend! Come check it out!

Smoking tiger is a really a great chain. This is thier new recent location in a strip mall. Parking is ample in a tight lot. The decor inside is fresh and minimalistic. There are ample hang out areas. The pastry here ate all too notch with my favorite being the earl grey sconkie. The sandwiches are usually on point as well. Overall done be shy and come over to get some unique Korean cafe experiences.

    Mike C.

First time trying this place out and i got the black sesame hojicha and black yuzu tea. They were both pretty decent. Black sesame was a little bit overpowering though. The workers were nice and helpful. The only reason why i gave it a 3 star was because they put way too much ice in both drinks.

If you're looking for a coffee spot that has creative drinks, you have come to the right place. They have unique flavors that you will not find at other coffee places. Please DO NOT SKIP on the pastries as they were mind blowing delicious! This location was pretty spacious and plenty of tables to do work or have a coffee date. Staff was nice as well. Sweet corn latte: (3/5) -had better corn coffee but this was still pretty good. I think the espresso was a little too overpowering against the corn flavor and prefer a better ratio with more sweet corn Seasonal: Hotteok latte (5/5) - this drink took me by surprise! - strong cinnamon smell but not too overpowering taste which I like - it is on the sweeter side which I don't mind and prefer - it was so smooth to drink and the flavors blend well together with the coffee and it also had a nice crunch with almond bits - definitely one of my favorite flavors from here Black sesame hojicha (4/5) -could be sweeter, but enjoyed this blend. It had a good ratio of sesame and hojicha where no one flavor was overpowering, but mixed well and love the nuttiness of the mix. Pastries I tried: -Cream cheese garlic bread -Garlic sausage -Honey butter walnut bun -Creme brûlée Gogumq -All the pastries I tried were on point !! You won't be disappointed! I loved them all!! They are a bit pricy but worth it as they were all so flavorful and delicious!! I recommend trying all of the ones I had! They may seem heavy which they are but not as heavy as I thought, the perfect amount.

    Breakfast Burritos available.

Welcome to Smoking Tiger Coffee Lab - Pomona edition! The newest addition to the chain is located just east of Cal Poly Pomona in the shopping center on the NE corner of Temple Ave. x Valley Blvd. - where Carl's Jr., Azteca Soccer, and Dominos is located. It's close to my home so I am thrilled! They're currently in their soft opening phase, but they already have a good number of customers coming in and out, or sitting and studying. There are a good number of tables inside and a couple small ones outside also. It's good to see this shop breathing life into this plaza, as it's pretty quiet every time I come by here for Uncle Chuang's, or just driving by in general. Service is super friendly but pretty slow, but it's to be expected for a new shop. I picked up a few pastries and the Black Sesame Hojicha off the Seasonal Menu. It was so tasty, I really enjoyed it. I even got a smoking tiger sticker with a purchase of a seasonal drink. Other current seasonal drinks are Hotteok Latte and Black Frost Latte, which both sound amazing. I will have to pick that up on my next visit. They now have an app for you to order ahead. You can also provide them with your phone number for rewards. I don't know what the rewards are, and I didn't ask today, so I'll have to find out next time.

Slightly sour, but fruity coffee. Overall, I enjoyed it. Good mouthfeel too. Good temperature, it wasn't too hot nor luke warm. MANGO MATCHA At first taste, it tasted more like guava. But it was indeed mango. But a fake mango flavor. The mango flavor was there, but could not taste the matcha. It wasn't bad, but I had better mango matchas elsewhere. CUSTOMER SERVICE It was okay. Not bad, but not great. Staff could smile more than just stare at you. Even say "Hello" or "Welcome" when you walk in the coffee shop. LOCATION Located in a small strip mall at Golden Springs Plaza. Parking is medium-sized for the amount of businesses here. I had no issues finding parking in front of the coffee shop, although more and more parking spots were being taken. AMBIANCE + SEATS The ambiance was relaxing. No loud music. Lots of people coming in and working on their laptops. Five small tables for two in the center. Along the wall there were bar seats for 19-20 people. There's a long communal table in the center for seats for 4-5 people. At the front and to the side, there were 3 tables for two. Outdoor tables for two right outside the cafe. Bathroom is outside of the cafe and you have to enter the other part of the building with a bathroom code to unlock. Will I visit again? Maybe if I'm in the area. But I'm in no rush to come back.

For the pastries, it looked like a lot of the ones I was hoping from browsing online were not available. I ended up getting the biscoff cheesecake. It was on the sweeter side but it was very good. For the drink, I ended up getting the banana latte. Been on a streak of getting that lately so wanted to compare with other stores. I didn't get a lot of banana in the taste. At least it had an espresso shot for the caffeine fix and did not taste like the artificial banana. Nothing special there and stand out. The store also has their own house espresso which was a medium dark roast. American Express is accepted as a payment option here. Overall, it was a decent work spot. If I come back, I'd prefer to try another drink and hope other pastries are available. They smeared Biscoff spread on the cup and used just enough syrup so that I could taste the cookie butter but not to the point where it was overly sweet. In fact, I would argue that it wasn't that sweet at all and the espresso was a lot stronger. There were a few cookie crumbs at the bottom too so I'm not sure if they incorporated it in the syrup or if it just sank to the bottom by the time I got my drink. I also tried the hot horchata latte but it seemed more like a regular latte sprinkled with cinnamon powder because there didn't seem to be any syrup. This is a functional, budget drink. On ambiance, Rail Side Cafe (San Dimas) is a HUGE success. There's a lot of utility. The location has a self-serve water station, public internet with no password, stacked high chairs for children, two game corners (ex: Chess, Giant Connect 4, Giant Jenga, Uno Cards, Etc), and about one available electrical outlet. I also appreciated the retro, upbeat music and 1930s movie decor. In addition, Rail Side Cafe (San Dimas) has plenty of seating. There's about four interior tables, but there's also 16 outside patio tables. The location is clean, well-maintained, and well ventilated. Overall, Rail Side Cafe (San Dimas) is a good, local neighborhood spot. It offers affordable choice that are prepared "good enough." I wouldn't drive a long distance for this spot, but it's a decent option if you're already nearby. 4.5 out of 5

I really enjoyed a recent visit to this cute railroad-themed cafe. It is located close to the…read moreMetrolink Train Station and offers an "Early Commuter" coffee and muffin for $5.99. The decor sets the stage with a cozy and comfy feeling. This is a family-friendly place to hang out. Several board games and books are stored on a rack and free to enjoy during your visit. You cannot miss the colorful and bright yellow umbrellas in their patio. Indoor seating for approximately 30 guests is available, all seating is on a first-come basis. The menu has several breakfast meals, sandwiches, bagels, coffee, tea and juices. I ordered an "Everything" bagel and latte. The employees are very friendly and are quick to complete your order. They are open 6 days a week (Tues-Sunday) from 7AM to 3PM. Sincerely, Rosemary
