Tried the famous seasonal donuts, and while the presentation was amazing and the service efficient, the taste didn't quite live up to expectations. The strawberry jam made the donut soggy, which was a bit of a letdown, though my husband enjoyed the chocolate bar. A good one-time experience, but probably won't be returning.

We were passing by on a roadtrip and I requested that we make a quick pit stop because I'd heard about this place on social media. For once, social media didn't disappoint! Was definitely a worthwhile stop! They have a small parking lot, we very easily found a spot and got in a very short line to get our donuts at the time of day we went. Service was very friendly and prompt. We got the strawberry donut and the old fashioned donut. Wow that strawberry donut was delicious. We split it between the two of us and luckily they gave us a fork because this is definitely not a handheld donut! Honestly some of the best strawberries we've tasted in the states. Donut was fluffy and soft. The old fashioned was delicious, fluffy and crispy. We also bought an assorted dozen to take to a party we were headed to. The assorted dozen was a good deal! The donuts were huge, they threw in a maple bar, chocolate bar, and a tiger twist which are huge! Everything was delicious. We would definitely stop by again if we were in the area!

345pm, Sunday, April 12, 2026 Third time's a charm! Not as busy but still a few people at the window. I was able to get a spot in the tiny parking lot. We waited in line for a while for these donuts. The donuts are grand! Bigger than other places. Save $3 off a dozen donuts, still spent $35 on a mixed dozen. Unbelievable! I may need to have another visit to try their "World Famous" strawberry and peach donuts.

My Tiger Tail was fresh, soft, and delicious. It is almost as long as my forearm. Service was quick and friendly. Depending upon when you go, there may be a crowd lined up for their donuts. Parking is plentiful but be sure to park in their dedicated lot and not next door. I will be back when their peach donuts are in season.

Strawberry filled and dodger stuffed gooey goodness!!!

Nothing says Glendora quite like the donuts at The Donut Man. With the Los Angeles Dodgers in the World Series spirit, ast year grabbing donuts here just felt like the perfect move!!! Let's Go Dodgers!!!!! The famous fresh strawberry donut is a must if you haven't tried it ur missing out! It's overflowing with real strawberries and sweet cream inside a soft, fluffy donut!!! Yummmm! Messy, nostalgic, and totally worth it at least once a year lol An OG Route 66 spot and a true local favorite! If you're in G-Town, this is one of those places you simply have to experience at least once. That line is worth the wait...rain or shine!

Super bomb donuts! This place takes donuts to another level with wild flavors, crazy styles, and combinations you don't see everywhere. Trust me. you can't just buy one. Be adventurous, grab a few, try different ones, and find your favorite. That's part of the fun. The line was a little crazy, but honestly it's part of the experience I even ended up meeting some cool people while waiting. Good vibes all around. Once I got the donuts. totally worth the wait. Fresh, delicious, and definitely lives up to the hype. The Donut Man is a must try spot. 10/10 I'll definitely be back for more!!!

The donuts here are priced a tad more than you would pay at other donut shops; HOWEVER, they are all totally worth the extra few cents, as these donuts are DELICIOUS and filling. You MAY feel a little guilty about eating donuts, but one bite of any donut from the Donut Man and that guilt will quickly disappear. Service is good and as efficient as can be, considering that there is ALWAYS a line of customers. At times, five to six customers at a time; most of the time, the line stretches to the rear of the parking lot. Come during strawberry season to be truly amazed at how good these donuts are and how popular this shop is, with people traveling from far and wide to visit.

Decided to stop at Donut Man because my husband was craving something sweet, and he knows this place has a wide assortment of donuts, including specialty ones. The sweet aroma you smell, when walking up to the window is such an inviting scent. As usual we picked out some of our favorites along with several others. Their donuts are ALWAYS fresh, and perfectly balanced with a texture that's light and airy. The lemon is my favorite, and peanut butter and jelly is my daughter's favorite. After ordering a dozen of donuts, I ordered a Coke Zero. This brings me to the only reason for not giving this place a 5 star. The first sip of my soda tasted as if the ice or soda absorbed all of the donut and grease odors. It did not taste like a Coke Zero. It tasted like a glazed donut. I highly recommend this place because their donuts are delicious, and service is always great. I do not recommend getting a fountain drink.

Great (though expensive) donuts, intentionally insulting service. Donut Man has always been too far away to go from our home(s) to just visit there, and there aren't any other businesses in the area to do errands. So it's been a while since we visited. But during our return from Palm Desert back to Long Beach, we took a slight detour to Glendora to pick up their famous donuts during late morning, hoping that it wasn't too busy. There wasn't much of a line, with plenty of surface parking nearby. It's walk-up only, with a small window in the front where you place your order and get your box. The guy manning the window was giving off strange vibes: definitely felt it as I watched him interact with the customers in front of us: telling vs listening. The exit to the line is the same as the entrance, so the previous customers had to squeeze past us. I then waited for the cashier to come back...as he did and before I could speak, he slammed shut the screen on the window in my face and yelled something to the effect of ~I'm busy, will come back in a bit~. The slamming of the door is a practiced bit, and was meant to show everyone who was in charge. He did come back in a bit, but by this time I was nonplussed. I knew what to order (thank goodness), but then he asks 'What kind of strawberry?'...idk. So I pointed to the famous strawberry (as mentioned on the receipt)...no response, but he must have gotten what he wanted. Then his next response was 'You will pay for this AFTER I've boxed up the donuts' as he pointed to the credit card machine. What's funny was that he smiled and joked with his co-workers while he was doing this (just not at the customers)...so this must be the normal here. We got 5 things in total: 2 tiger tails ($3.40 each), 2 strawberry ($6.50), 1 sugar ($2.05). All were excellent donuts , with the whole strawberries being used not being overly sweet this time. The dough used for the donuts reminds me of a very good Chinese donut holes: a bit yeasty, but not as much as a KrispyKreme, and not cakey at all. With a sugar glaze, it very well could be my perfect donut. The donuts are indeed all that, but the possibility of such rude customer interaction (and that the owners are putting him and his attitude out in front instead of in the back where it belongs) negates any inclination to want to return (note to my future self).

Seasonal Yellow Peach Donut is the sine qua non of The Donut Man. A Must get
    Gary I.

Donut Man is an institution from 1972 started by Jim and Miyoko Nakano, Japanese Americans seeking to achieve "the American Dream". The shop first started as Foster's Donuts, a franchise, but there was a decision to go independent, and Donut Man was born. My two iconic donut versions include fresh fruit, namely Peach and Strawberry. My favorite is the Peach which has perfectly ripe yellow meat, that melts in your mouth without being gooshy. Summer fragrance of Peach lingers. The glaze is not too sweet and makes the generous peach slices glisten. A round, puffy, golden brown, sugar glazed, holeless donut with a lightly leathery skin is slit open and all this fruit is stuffed inside. The same for their strawberry version. Both of these fresh fruit donuts are only in the summer season. Strawberry in late spring, early summer and peaches in mid summer through early fall. Other seasonal styles like pumpkin frosting are found around Halloween-Thanksgiving. Don't always believe their webpage which was touting cream puffs filled with whipped cream cheese with fruits like blueberries. But when I went to the order window and asked for one, the salesperson looked at me with no clue of what I was talking about. The right hand doesn't seem to know what the left hand is doing. Open 24 hours, expect a line especially on the weekends, but well worth the wait. Look into the window while workers are making some technically intricate pastries. 4+ stars

Ask the Community - The Donut Man - Glendora

    Actually open 24/7? Thanksgiving? Christmas?

Nobody is picking up so either they are super busy atm or they are off. Here is their phone number +1 (626) 335-9111

    What it the price nowadays?

Donut range price between $1-$4 dollars.

When do they make them fresh? Few times I've come they've been cold and I like to come when they are fresh out the oven?

When they run out usually. They don't have specific times they make donuts. 🍩 When we go we try to go super early for better parking and shorter lines and hot/fresh is hit and miss. You can always nuke them?

Are the donuts fried in animal fat?

    No. They use soybean shortening.

Do they still have the blueberry cake donuts?

    Yes, they do

Hello. Are they serving peach donuts at the moment?

Yes I believe it's seasonal for the summer.

    Are they still cash only?

No. They accept credit card payments when we visited on 05/2023.

Are they under new ownership? Does the Nakano family still own it or has it been sold? Someone told me it was sold and their quality of donuts isn't what it used to be.

The business has been sold along with all of the original recipes. The new owners are purportedly staying true to the new recipes and our recent taste tests supports that assertion. Very yummy. They are now open 24/7 in Glendora and opened a second…

    Are you open today, 01/01/23?

No, there is a sign that says they are closed on new years day. They are back in business tomorrow at 8am.…

Will you be open on 12/26/22? The monday after Christmas.

    Yes open at 8am

    Vegan non-dairy options?

    I would call them direct

Are strawberry and apple donuts available in September?

The answer is yes! I called to verify before posting this answer : )

Did they change their hours? My fiancé and I were craving the strawberry donut today but when we went by, they were closed. It was like 11:30pm.

They're closed a few times a year for the holidays. Easter weekend is one of those times. I've done the same thing too.

Is there Donut Man merch for sale (like baseball caps or coffee mugs)?

I have a few mugs I bought off them But forgot if they had shirts

I've tried calling the Glendora location to speak with a manager but the phone just rings and rings. Is there any other way to get in touch with management?

My name is Aaron, I am the manager. Shoot me an email at aaron@thedonutman.com I believe I am aware…

Does the donuts man open on Christmas?

    Doubtful.

Is strawberry available now November 18th or are you in Peach season already?

Called and the guy said in/end of January for strawberries

I've been calling but no answer, probably very busy. It's mid August and I'm wondering if they have strawberry donuts now. Anyone been there recently?

    As of today, they do!

    Do they serve Coffee?

    Yes

Do you have gluten free options?

It is a doughnut shop, not a health food store.

They weren't super busy. A variety of donuts were showcased behind the glass. My favorite is their Original Glazed. Wow, I was shocked to see how much a dozen donuts cost now. It has gone up to $21.99 per dozen. I guess we gotta ride with inflation. I did see a flyer on the window indicating "Add a 2nd dozen for just $9.99". That averages out to $16 per dozen... that's more reasonable, but you gotta get 2 dozens. Anyway, I saw a more economical option... 24 Dots for $6.49. That's more like it. Pack it up! Dots are perfectly bite sized. It tasted almost the same as the Original Glazed donut... I say almost because I find the Dots to be more densed in texture, but still good and the price was right. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Service was quick. Love to return to try their different flavors. I'm eyeing the Cookie & Kreme!

Large parking lot from easy to navigate. The inside was much more spacious than I imagined. It must be fun to watch them make the donuts first thing in the morning. I liked the idea of having some variety, so I chose to buy 16 mini glazed donuts for the same price as a dozen regular sized ones. They were out of plain glazed mini donuts, so I asked Ashley who helped me to give me an assortment of the pink sprinkled, chocolate sprinkled, and plain chocolate, glazed donuts. Believe me, they were a hit at the meeting! Everyone was asking me where a Krispy Kreme was because they thought the closest one was in Ontario. Thanks to Ashley for your patience in explaining to me how the assortment options work! Apparently, new seasonal ones are 50 cents more per donut. It's a bit out of my way, but I do believe the donuts were melt-in-your-mouth fluffy sugary delights that were worth indulging in once in awhile!

(Important: It's Cash Only. They only take cash transactions.) I arrived at Donuts Galore (San Dimas) on a weekend (around 3:30PM). Parking is easy. The customer parking lot is BIG. Staff is not the most welcoming. Staff is hardworking and focused, but Staff felt very terse and business-like. Staff interaction was the low point of this visit. On ambiance, Donuts Galore (San Dimas) is clean and well-maintained. There's a few tables to sit at; however, this business' plaza felt very empty and quiet. Overall, I had a good experience at Donuts Galore (San Dimas). There's sincere effort with these donuts. Although Staff appeared almost annoyed to have customers, there's integrity in their goods. It's a solid option. 4.5 out of 5

This is a cash only establishment so I'm glad I had a few dollars in my purse. The donut holes were sooooo goood! Honestly the best I've had in a very long time. I normally don't even like donut holes because they taste dry sometimes but oh nooo this was different! The coffee was really good as well it reminded me of when I would visit my grandparents house and my grandmother would have a hot cup of coffee ready for my grandfather, as a kid I always sneaked a sip lol so good the perfect amount of creamer and sugar! I will be back to try a sane which next time

The service is very nice and they are fast and if there is a line, it moves fast. The place is older, but well kept up and clean inside. It is very comfortable. They have a counter with so many donuts, you will find several you want. We love the regular glazed. Their cake donuts are so good and they have a great selection. They have every donut you can think of. You can't go wrong here.
