345pm, Sunday, April 12, 2026 Third time's a charm! Not as busy but still a few people at the window. I was able to get a spot in the tiny parking lot. We waited in line for a while for these donuts. The donuts are grand! Bigger than other places. Save $3 off a dozen donuts, still spent $35 on a mixed dozen. Unbelievable! I may need to have another visit to try their "World Famous" strawberry and peach donuts.

Parking lot and street parking. Saturday morning and minimum line. Donuts smelled great when you walk up. Lots of variety. Hard to not pick one of each. Strawberry. 9/10. It was delicious and the strawberries were fresh. Lemon. 9/10. Great lemon flavor. Boston crème. 8/10. Solid. Crumb. 6/10. Good. Glazed. 7/10. Good. Definitely worth visiting. Great donuts.

The donuts here are priced a tad more than you would pay at other donut shops; HOWEVER, they are all totally worth the extra few cents, as these donuts are DELICIOUS and filling. You MAY feel a little guilty about eating donuts, but one bite of any donut from the Donut Man and that guilt will quickly disappear. Service is good and as efficient as can be, considering that there is ALWAYS a line of customers. At times, five to six customers at a time; most of the time, the line stretches to the rear of the parking lot. Come during strawberry season to be truly amazed at how good these donuts are and how popular this shop is, with people traveling from far and wide to visit.

Decided to stop at Donut Man because my husband was craving something sweet, and he knows this place has a wide assortment of donuts, including specialty ones. The sweet aroma you smell, when walking up to the window is such an inviting scent. As usual we picked out some of our favorites along with several others. Their donuts are ALWAYS fresh, and perfectly balanced with a texture that's light and airy. The lemon is my favorite, and peanut butter and jelly is my daughter's favorite. After ordering a dozen of donuts, I ordered a Coke Zero. This brings me to the only reason for not giving this place a 5 star. The first sip of my soda tasted as if the ice or soda absorbed all of the donut and grease odors. It did not taste like a Coke Zero. It tasted like a glazed donut. I highly recommend this place because their donuts are delicious, and service is always great. I do not recommend getting a fountain drink.

It was okay... not really worth the hype so luckily the line wasn't long when we visited on a Saturday night. The strawberry was good but again not amazing and the chocolate bar was massive but the taste was ehh. The have parking in the back and on the street too.

Finally - Mr Donut Man! I've been wanting to try the strawberry donut but the idea of waking up early to wait in line never really worked out for me - so when I called tonight to ask if they had the infamous strawberry donut and was told yes - I drove over at 10:30 pm. Best part no line. - The strawberry donut was sooo yummy! It's a a tad pricey at $6.50, but it's on par with a dessert at a restaurant, so not that bad. The iced donut paired perfectly and it really didn't disappoint. - maple donut was also really good! It's a nice fluffy donut with the right amount of maple. Mr Donut Man is one of those places that if you've never been, you definitely have to go at least once. I can't wait for peach season now to try that one.

Well, well, what can I say about this place? . I think it's been on the Food Network. It's been recognized as a unique donut place.. they are known for their strawberry filled and peaches filled donuts. Those are pretty big and I think they can be split. Or if you have a big appetite, you can eat it all. I stopped here today and I got a red velvet which I've never had before. It was pretty good. It was kind of dry on the dough part. My favorite now is the peanut butter and jelly one. I know it might sound gross, but it's actually really good and it's not overflowing with peanut butter and jelly. I had a good amount. They do take cards now and they take Apple Pay . For a while they only took cash. There's some parking on the street or you can go in the back.

Seasonal Yellow Peach Donut is the sine qua non of The Donut Man. A Must get

Donut Man is an institution from 1972 started by Jim and Miyoko Nakano, Japanese Americans seeking to achieve "the American Dream". The shop first started as Foster's Donuts, a franchise, but there was a decision to go independent, and Donut Man was born. My two iconic donut versions include fresh fruit, namely Peach and Strawberry. My favorite is the Peach which has perfectly ripe yellow meat, that melts in your mouth without being gooshy. Summer fragrance of Peach lingers. The glaze is not too sweet and makes the generous peach slices glisten. A round, puffy, golden brown, sugar glazed, holeless donut with a lightly leathery skin is slit open and all this fruit is stuffed inside. The same for their strawberry version. Both of these fresh fruit donuts are only in the summer season. Strawberry in late spring, early summer and peaches in mid summer through early fall. Other seasonal styles like pumpkin frosting are found around Halloween-Thanksgiving. Don't always believe their webpage which was touting cream puffs filled with whipped cream cheese with fruits like blueberries. But when I went to the order window and asked for one, the salesperson looked at me with no clue of what I was talking about. The right hand doesn't seem to know what the left hand is doing. Open 24 hours, expect a line especially on the weekends, but well worth the wait. Look into the window while workers are making some technically intricate pastries. 4+ stars

Call me basic, but I love all things pumpkin in the fall so I HAD to get the pumpkin cream donut when I came. It did not disappoint!! The cream on top tasted exactly like a pumpkin pie and the donut itself had such a fluffy texture. My husband ordered the old fashioned and really enjoyed his donut as well. I came on a Saturday night and there was a decent sized line the wrapped around the building, but it moved quickly. This is more of a grab and go spot, but there are a few benches if you wanted to have your donuts there. Overall, I'd recommend Donut Man if you're in the area!

The Strawberry Stuffed Glazed Donut is why the Donut Man is famous. They have other seasonal favors and fruit doughnuts that are great. Their donuts stand out because they are uniquely shaped, just look at the maple bar or tiger twist. The Glendora locals love it here and are friendly. I asked a few locals for recommendations besides the strawberry stuffed glazed. They highly recommend the peanut butter n jelly, tiger twist, and apple filling stuff glazed. Their pumpkin donut was also highly praised - available during the holidays. Donut Man opened up a second location in Downtown Los Angeles at the Grand Central Market.

I arrived just before 12am on. Thursday night. There was still a line of about 6 people at that hour on that day, which shocked me, but they are famous and any time of the day is a good time for donuts and coffee. Noticed a couple of EMTs in line working an overnight shift. I was very happy they are open 24 hours a day. Not many donut stores, or restaurants in general and I was coming home for a concert and needed a pick-me-up. I got the famous strawberry donut, how could I not? And a small coffee. They had just made a fresh tray of them and hadn't even put them in the window yet. It was DIVINE! It looks soooo sweet, but when you bite into it, it totally isn't. Just fresh strawberry flavor busting through with a very light pie-like glaze and a super fluffy donut as the vehicle to carry it. One of my favorite donut experiences ever, I must say. So one part that I didn't expect to be impressed about was the small coffee. I put just a hint of half and half in there and it was so flavorful. It didn't have to be good. The donuts are the star, but it happened to be the perfect medium roast to pair with the donuts. I drank it all the way home and kept getting reimpressed every time I took a sip. I understand I went late at night, which probably meant I got some of the freshest items that they were preparing for the following morning rush, so maybe that is the hack. The cashier was super cool and friendly with me for it being the graveyard shift. He could've totally been cold and tired and I would have understood, but he had a great attitude and was very helpful. Hats off to this place. Highly recommend if in the area.

As a part time courier for Door Dash/Uber Eats, I'll admit it- I allow my eyes and nose to guide many of my take out choices. So it was tonight while picking up my maiden order from a Glendora institution that's graced the "Pride of the Foothills" city since founders Jim & Miyoko Nakano launched it, in 1972. First things first: Prepare for your senses to be delighted! Your eyes, both at the immensity of the line that braids around the cozy building AND for the Willy Wonka like array of brightly colored donuts, many filled with fresh, seasonal fruits. And your nose, which will heighten its olfactory prowess at the dazzling scents that permeate the air for 100 yards in any direction of the hamlet-sized venue! Full disclosure: Your favorite Yelp correspondent happens to be a diabetic...so me and sugary foods are kinda like me and the MAGA Crowd- We should avoid each other! But with my senses of sight and smell so suitably provoked by the pair of deliveries I made from TDM, how could I resist placing a small order and composing a review for you, my fellow Yelpers?! Since they were out of their cinnamon rolls, I opted for a duo of Glazed Maple Bars. Lemme forewarn you- These aren't your Dad or your neighborhood beat Cop's maple bars, the length of a smartphone. These mofos are around a foot long...well worth their $2.05/each price point. My son Brad reports that they taste "Super fresh, sweet and doughy but still kindve light, too!" The service was excellent, all things considered. Yes, you'll wait 10-15 minutes as the line serpentines its way 'round the building, but the staff of 7-8 ppl that are crammed inside are clearly moving Heaven and Earth to crank out more TDM pastries and deliver service with a smile. A winning combination that underpins how they've been around since Nixon was in the White House!

    Actually open 24/7? Thanksgiving? Christmas?

Nobody is picking up so either they are super busy atm or they are off. Here is their phone number +1 (626) 335-9111

    What it the price nowadays?

Donut range price between $1-$4 dollars.

When do they make them fresh? Few times I've come they've been cold and I like to come when they are fresh out the oven?

When they run out usually. They don't have specific times they make donuts. 🍩 When we go we try to go super early for better parking and shorter lines and hot/fresh is hit and miss. You can always nuke them?

Are the donuts fried in animal fat?

    No. They use soybean shortening.

Do they still have the blueberry cake donuts?

    Yes, they do

Hello. Are they serving peach donuts at the moment?

Yes I believe it's seasonal for the summer.

    Are they still cash only?

No. They accept credit card payments when we visited on 05/2023.

Are they under new ownership? Does the Nakano family still own it or has it been sold? Someone told me it was sold and their quality of donuts isn't what it used to be.

The business has been sold along with all of the original recipes. The new owners are purportedly staying true to the new recipes and our recent taste tests supports that assertion. Very yummy. They are now open 24/7 in Glendora and opened a second… Read more

Will you be open on 12/26/22? The monday after Christmas.

    Yes open at 8am

    Vegan non-dairy options?

    I would call them direct

Are strawberry and apple donuts available in September?

The answer is yes! I called to verify before posting this answer : )

Did they change their hours? My fiancé and I were craving the strawberry donut today but when we went by, they were closed. It was like 11:30pm.

They're closed a few times a year for the holidays. Easter weekend is one of those times. I've done the same thing too.

Is there Donut Man merch for sale (like baseball caps or coffee mugs)?

I have a few mugs I bought off them But forgot if they had shirts

I've tried calling the Glendora location to speak with a manager but the phone just rings and rings. Is there any other way to get in touch with management?

Does the donuts man open on Christmas?

    Doubtful.

Is strawberry available now November 18th or are you in Peach season already?

Called and the guy said in/end of January for strawberries

I've been calling but no answer, probably very busy. It's mid August and I'm wondering if they have strawberry donuts now. Anyone been there recently?

    As of today, they do!

    Do they serve Coffee?

    Yes

Do you have gluten free options?

It is a doughnut shop, not a health food store.

Tiger tail was top-notch! Good size donut with great texture. Love the presentation of it! Blueberry was well balanced in taste, moistness, and sweetness, but the other two donuts were just too sweet for me IMHO. Glazed twist is my favorite donut so I was a bit bummed about that.
