They were phenomenal. From the estimate to the end of the job my desires, concerns, and expectativas were met. It took them 3 days to finish the landscaping renovation and they worked non stop. All of the people working were professional and detail oriented. Tony was exceptional at making my visión become a reality and he communicated with me throughtout the entire process since I was out of town and it was all done in my absence. He was present everyday supervising and working. Jason was meticulous with every detail and clean up. He even set up my sprinkler system for me. Denise is who I communicated with for scheduling and she answered all my questions regarding the maintenance afterwards, so kind and friendly. Seeing the existing reviews surprise me, but they were from a long time ago. Sunshine was recommended to me by a GC whose done a great job for us, so I put a lot of trust in his recommendation. And I have no regrets. We really needed an improved curb appeal. The main work they did was replacing the old green metal landscaping border with a upscale white stone. Tony was great in helping pick the right stone for us, and our 20+ year old house now looks pracically brand new. I was so impressed with their work that I had them do work at my mom's house (with which we are totally satisified) plus we will have them do our regular lawncare. Lightning fast response and resolution: I contacted Sunshine on their website over the weekend when my Dad's sprinklers started leaking. Monday morning they sent a tech over, and within 30 minutes he had the leak fixed and had installed a cutoff so I can manually turn off the water to the sprinklers if they leak again. Employed this company a little over 2 months ago. Their basic services are minimal although they charge a high rate for cutting the lawn. They only do the bare minimum and any little bit extra is subject to another high fees. Not very responsive to requests for extra services. Leaves debris remaining. My yard is the worst it has ever looked. Pretty pathetic for the amount of money I've been charged. I am going back to an independent contractor. I called Sunshine to get my trees and bush trimmed up to put our house on the market. We also decided to have them mow on a schedule till we sold. Jared arrived at my home on 10/17/19 with a pole extension which should have been my first clue that he wasn't going to be able to reach the canopy of the lower branches as I requested in the quote but gave him the benefit of the doubt because they are the professionals you pay to do the work you can't do. Jared explained before starting that his tree crew were busy and they would come by and bundle the trimmed branches and remove them from our yard. "No worries" I said as long as it was gone by the end of the week when we started showing the house. The other task was to keep the yard mowed every two weeks with the yard, mow & blow pkg. I had my bank account charged on 11/5 & 11/18 for yard mows that never happened. Each day they were scheduled to mow I was home all day waiting to talk to them about the trees that still were not complete but the bill had been paid in full. I spent this past weekend in my front flower beds cleaning them out and getting them ready to finally go on market knowing that the work was promised to be done. Today is 11/25 3 days before Thanksgiving and they arrived before 9 am to finally mow. I proceeded to get my jacket on and go out to talk to them about the trees and to check their work. I walked out my front door to see them pulling away. What? How can that be? There are still leaves all over the yard that should have been mowed up. I tried to stop them but they continued on as if they didn't notice me jogging down the street waving my arms like I'm flagging down the ice cream man. I return home from my jog and do a perimeter check. Just as I thought...the back, side and alley hadn't been touched and as far as blowing all the hard work I put in on those flower beds is covered in the leaves they did blow. I immediately took pictures as I have done since day 1 because after leaving message after message we were being told that it could be possible they didn't enter our back yard because my 6 pound dog was a threat to the crew or they could have been mowing the wrong house by mistake. I would have respected the honest answer which is their is no excuse and do the job we have paid for you to do. Tony is the owner which has never called me personally to rectify the problem however his wife I spoke to at length who of course said Tony would call me and arrange to come back out and check the work. I recently signed up with this service and will never do business with them again. I thought I provided my CC # when I first requested the service, but something must have gone wrong. They mowed twice and their emails requesting my card # went to my junk folder. At the point when I owed about $50 and two weeks had passed, I got this text from them. "I don't want to have to call the police department come over to collect payment with an officer and then have to possibly press charges for theft. This is very serious." We will no longer be utilizing Sunshine Lawncare. We pay $38.00 only to receive poor quality work. This past Thursday our grass was cut, however, streaks were left throughout the yard. They did not trim around all the trees. This morning my husband cut the grass to remove the streaks and trimmed around the trees to make our yard look presentable. This is not the first time poor quality work is found. This is however, the last time we will accept poor quality as we found another lawn service who will take pride in providing high level quality service. read more

We first noticed Sunshine Lawncare from the bright logo on their door flyers and cards, and truck. We decided to give them a try And ended up using them for 2+ years. In fact, earlier is year, they even installed new sod in half of our front yard and our house side, and did a fine job. This review is to spell out the big picture to anyone considering using Sunshine Lawncare in North Texas. These are nice people and promise good service. They are happy to receive praise when they do a good job. The problem is, they are very inconsistent between the jobs and the crews they send out. One week, everything is fine. The next 3 weeks, some part of service is omitted, forgotten, overlooked. Some crews literally run through a yard with mowers in order to get to the next house, meaning things are left uneven, and undone. Whole sections not edged or trimmed, things considered normal for any weekly service. Whole sections left not mowed. As if this is not enough, the company owners do not seem to care. Once they have your credit card number, they do not return calls or emails. The last straw for me was the yard going a month without service, and with no explanation. No returned calls. No returned emails. It's as if they are happier than a person can be when they talk to you in person. Otherwise, they forget about you, do not act responsible as a company. Every week, some inconsistency in the simply mowing and edging work. This is very sad. They obviously express a desire to please, as they did when they installed new sod, or a specific crew leader was on the job. Otherwise, it is a crap shoot with Sunshine Lawncare (www.SunshineLawncare.net). After a month of zero service, we just got an email from them today that we are too demanding by asking them to simply do a consistent job. We are baffled that these can be very nice people one week, and subsequent weeks, send out people who do awful work. I should have checked their YELP reviews first! Hired them for weekly mowing service last spring at a rental home. Was told I had to give them a credit card to put on file. Service was fine, they seldom showed up on the same day of the week and this was an issue as the backyard gates are locked. So basically the gates stayed unlocked during mowing season (defeats the purpose of having locked gates). They were inconsistent with their billing. Some weeks I would see 2 charges and then maybe 1 the next week. So I had to stay on top of that. In October 2017 I called and spoke with Dee, asking when the mowing season ends & begins, she said I would get an email BEFORE the season began in Spring 2018. I also told her I was not going to do the auto credit charge anymore. She informed me that now I could pay my bill online by the week. So I called them March 1, 2018 and left a voicemail. No return call. I emailed them through their website, that same week. My messages were simply asking for a start date for mowing and a call back as I had beds at 3 houses that needed cleaning and fresh mulch. I finally got a one sentence email response from Tony on Tuesday, March 6th @ 1:30pm. It stated "mowing already started, you're on Tuesdays". I immediately emailed (since they don't answer their phones) instructing them to NOT service any of my addresses and that their lack of communication convinced me they were not interested in my business and I had moved on to another company. Today I discovered a charge on my credit card to Sunshine Lawn Care, dated Monday, March 5th. So they charged me in advance and mowed the front yard only (back gates were locked).
