I am mid job right now and it's a complete disaster. I agreed to update my review once my job is done if Ryan can ever get there. For now, I'm in a very upsetting spot and the world needs to know. Hiring these guys has been the worst decision we have ever made. Our home is brand new and these guys have totally ruined it. They don't show up when they say they will and when they do it's more harm than good. I didn't even think something could turn out as bad as it has. Mis matched concrete, uneven, cracked, pools or water where there shouldn't be. Stairs not symmetrical. Pool coping that is 10" on one side then balloons to 13", people don't measure they don't check their work and they don't know what they're doing. These guys are lazy, unprofessional and unskilled. And to boot, they're not cheap. I've so far spent $10k, have nothing to show for it. Have to spend thousands more now correcting everything they've done. Absolutely unprofessional. I spoke to Ryan, the owner on 4/1/16 and scheduled for him and his crew to come do yard cleanup at my home on 4/9. I was told the crew would arrive first thing Saturday and I would be contacted with a time... No call or text I called and texted on 4/8 with no response. Voicemail box full Again on the morning of 4/9 same result. Finally at 10:00 I contacted other companies and scheduled someone else. No communication skills, unprofessional, never again After reading a few other recent reviews, I'm so glad I didn't pay in advance. Be warned and take your business elsewhere read more

UPDATE: The work for my friend was done in April 2016, it's now August 1st!!! I referred Sunshine Landscaping to someone before they did the last job in my yard. They offered $150 of free labor to the referred customer. My friend called. The owner's brother showed up with his kids, really cute and makes you feel like it's a family business and they will care about the job they do....HA! My friend need a large lawn reseeded, his sprinklers fixed, and a large backyard weeded. They charged him $600 for the front yard and agreed to do the backyard for $150 referral bonus. They did a VERY poor job on the reseeding. The majority of the green is weeds, and there are lines of 'bald spots' throughout the yard. Also they did not fix the sprinklers nor touch the backyard. My friend, is not the most personable, but has continuously been brushed off by the owner. The owner comes up with excuse after excuse why he can't fix the problem or finish the job. He would make appointment date, but ALWAYS flaked out with some excuse. I finally texted the owner myself to see what the problem was and he said his workers left a job early and he would not be able to follow through with my friends job, nor any other job. I told him that it makes is business look bad, his reply...."yes it sucks" Unbelievable!!!! read more

I used their online system to order yard clean up for my neglected front and backyard. I don't have many plants and the grass did not need cutting, but there were dead leaves and a few dead plants I needed removed. Ryan contacted me to confirm a day and time and he was great to keep me in the loop as to when the workers would arrive. They went above and beyond the scope of the work I ordered by cutting back my front yard tree and removing the posts. On top of that, Ryan came out to check on things and I met with him to discuss other projects. I'm definitely using their services again for a yard redesign and some hardscaping. I'm giving only 2 stars because the work they do is somewhat decent, but it is not worth the money (SO over priced- $150 for an hour of clean up!?) or difficulty getting ahold of them. I had synthetic turf installed which looks great, but my sprinklers were completely messed up in the process and my calls and texts to have someone come out to look at them went, ultimately, unanswered. I hired them to do a full cleanup of my front yard and just blow out the backyard. The single worker was friendly and worked hard. But he left most of the front yard untouched. I tried texting with the owner or whoever's number is on yelp. Their response was I'm sorry we will get out to finish the job but they always said we are super busy this week. Their response after one month was we will have time this week but they never showed up. It has now been 2 months and they haven't showed back up. They seem to be to busy to care or just don't care about customers who have already paid. read more

They are unreliable always excuse of why they can't make appointments they said they would arrive during a set timeframe after not showing for appointment previous week I waited and then they had excuse so I figured maybe give them another hour three hours later still no communication so I told them forget it and refund money two weeks no results unprepared and unprofessional. read more

I was disgusted with their workmanship and their customer service. After giving them their deposit, we still did not have a set date on when this group would start work on building a stained concrete patio. Ryan never contacted me to let me know when they could start. Instead, he just showed up. Luckily, there was someone home to let him in and isolate my dog. At the end of the work day, the size and the placement of the cement was not what was agreed upon. Over a month later, he returned after countless communications I initiated requesting a time and date for his team's return. It took three consecutive days for him to complete the process of staining and sealing the concrete. He never showed up when he said he would. He left his supplies strewn about the backyard each day. In fact, after he finished, there are still supplies and trash left behind in my backyard. The finished product has much left to be desired. It looks speckled - by no means the sleek, clean look we initially agreed upon. If you have anything to do with your life outside of sitting and waiting for this guy to show up and lowered expectations, I advise strongly against using this "service". read more

I have to say that Ryan is a likeable guy and I thought, at first, I was going to be very happy. The price was fair (I think), but the service, specifically follow-up, was horrendous. I had him come out and give me a quote to remove the rock underneath the turf where my dogs go potty, and we ended up deciding to pay extra to have it moved off to the side and put a 9' square patio in on the opposite side. They were running late the first day, then once they started apparently the rock truck broke down. It went into a second day.......and then a third. All along Ryan had told me he had some special powder to put down that would eliminate the urine smell, but the day after it was complete I went out and could tell that nothing had been put down as far as that goes. I texted and called and then finally got a message back that no, he hadn't done that, and that he found out that his supplier was out of stock. I told him that it would have been nice for him to tell me that, and he apologized and said that as soon as it was back in stock he would contact me. A month goes by and I finally texted him and simply asked for the name of his supplier so I could go purchase it myself since he obviously wasn't going to......2 days later I get a text that said "I'll look into it." That was on November 1st. If you want professional service then Sunshine Landscaping is NOT the company for you. Ryan, I hope you read this and learn Something about how to treat your customers. read more
