Just moved to area. Was very hungry. Many joints around here seem to be breakfast, lunch......and closed. Shamrock open. Make no mistake this is primarily a bar. But the restaurant part offers a decent menu for supper. We tried the chopped steak. Ordered it from Jennifer. The place was a bit loud at first but quieted down after awhile. The food was excellent, and there was a lot of it, and it was priced downright reasonably. Jennifer was efficient and the food arrived in about 20 minutes. We will be back! read more

I really like this place , me and the guys been coming here for several years. I always get the Shamrock burger. It has always been spot on and very much worth the drive. I have recommended many times to others. Everyone has there days I guess, I went there today and ordered the Shamrock cheeseburger med well. When I cut into it I was shocked as it was looking like it was just out of the package and raw in the center. When the waitress came by she commented and said yes they could have cooked that one a little more , she said I can take it back and they can nuke it. I said I can't send it back because it won't be the same. I have sent food back before and it doesn't usually make it better. Seems to me like re cooking or microwaving messes up the taste, texture , and it the whole experience. I think it would have been more appropriate for them to offer to cook me another one fresh and try to do better, I shouldn't complain much because it was eatable somewhat but the experience wasn't the same today as before and even though everyone there is very nice , they didn't offer to do anything about it other than take it back and microwave it. read more

So we just stopped by on New Years Eve for a beer and wings. The staff seemed unhappy that we arrived. The bartender answered the phone to a party wondering if they were open and she made a comment to the other staff that they answered the phone so clearly were open. I have been coming here off and on for over 20 years. Owners...fire your staff and get people that want to work. Very sad to see this place like this due to staff. What a great hidden gem with a fantastic burger! This unassuming building looks like a hole-in-the-wall bar painted like St. Patrick's Day. It's a typical bar with 10 or so tables for diners and a menu with a little variety. The burgers were delicious and I highly recommend stopping here if you're in the area. read more

Should be named GREASY SHAMEROCK SPOON I've given this place 3 tries and each time was absolutely terrible! I ordered a patty melt and it was so greasy I am literally sick as dog typing this. I swear I think I have a touch of food poisoning! My husbands fries were old as dirt and were freezer burnt as heck! The second set wasn't much better! Another friend at the table had the French dip special and it was ANYTHING but special! The entire building seems run down and not so clean looking but since this was a group ride I tried to be a good sport. I will absolutely never give this place another try! We took a little detour off the bike trail and found this little bar/restaurant. It had outside picnic tables which in a glorious, sunny, 72 degree low humidity day was perfect. Because we were in the middle of a long ride I did not want much - a basket of fries sounded great. I asked for them on the crispy side - I did not have high hopes for this special request as 2/3rds of the time I asked it does not happen. They came out piled high in a basket cooked perfectly on the crisp but not burnt side. They got devoured, We shared Orr table with a fellow rider who ordered the Rueben - it looked great and she said it was "quite good". Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. Next time we are in town we will visit again for a full meal! read more
