After a Yelp search, I decided to try this place for lunch. I was expecting a crowded restaurant due to showing up right around 12, but I was disappointed to find the restaurant completely empty. I was greeted by the owner, who happens to be the cook, waiter and cashier. He was so polite and patient with me when try to make a decision on what to order. So many awesome choices. I decided on vegetable tempura, vegetable ramen and a sushi roll. Vegetable Tempura: was so delicious, the batter was so light and crispy. The batter had a delicate and airy texture. It was one of the best veggie tempuras that I've had in a long time. Golden Tiger Roll: this is a fried sushi roll with shrimp, avocado, spicy tuna w/crunch and topped with Tobiko (fish roe). This roll was so flavorful and delicious. On a side note, I loved the pickled ginger here; when I mentioned this to the owner, he gave me two little containers of it to-go. Spicy Noodles (ramen bowl): my ramen was a bit spicy and served nice and hot. I wanted chicken, however, they only offer thigh meat which isn't my preference so I opted for the veggie ramen. The veggies were a bit over cooked for my preference however, I still ate them. The egg was poached in the broth and was nice and jammy when cut into. It lent a nice velvety texture to the ramen. The noodles were cooked perfectly. I was given four slices of fresh orange, which I found to be a nice touch. Overall, I highly recommend this small business and look forward to eating here again. We had heard great sooooo we went and tried it. Very simple menu and small dine in area. There was one other couple there. At the time we went it was a one man show cooking and taking orders. The food and service are incredible!! This place is so unassuming. You are in for a pleasant treat. The spicy beef soup is hands down one of the best soups I've ever eaten. I highly recommend! Bento boxes are yummy. Sushi is good. Sweet potato fries are delicious. I can go on. I've eaten so many things from the menu and nothing has disappointed. The cook is always so warm and inviting and checks to make sure we are happy with our meals. The staff was very friendly but the food was just alright. There was only one chef so the food took a while to prepare. Despite being 1 of 2 parties present, my two hand rolls took 25 minutes to prepare as no one else was available to work on the Japanese dishes. They had convenient menus for take out so I would recommend placing an online order prior to save time. *Yellowtail Handroll: the fish was on the colder side and the seaweed was not fragrant. There was only a thin layer of rice and I would have appreciated a bit more in flavor. The avocado and cucumber were fresh but I was expecting more for $8. The fish had some fattiness but the temperature made it a bit off putting. *Tuna Handroll: the fishier of the two. Had similar issues except I had to dip it in some soy sauce to take of the fishy edge. The wait was a bit long given the lack of customers so I would call in next time. The handrolls could be improved with more seasoned rice and potentially some sauce to dip in. At the moment, it seems a tad unrefined and too simplistic. read more

This place is ok. We got the walnut prawns, chicken chow mein, and crunch roll. The walnut prawns were very bad and the breading was falling off and soggy. The taste was just very salty no sweetness. My mom and I have been looking for a Chinese restaurant here in Hanford for a long time now so decided to give this place a try and oh my...I wish we would have tried it sooner! There is literally not one negative thing I have to say about this place. From the minute we walked in, both the women waiting on us and the chef, were extremely pleasant and nice. This place has Chinese and Japanese food which is great for when you have a craving for both or if your group is leaning more one way than the other. The place was extremely clean as well which is always important. We got the bbq pork, orange chicken, beef chow mein, and edamame. Every single one of them was amazing. My favorite was the orange chicken though because the sauce was perfect. It was not overly sweet as that is what I have tended to find when I do order it elsewhere. It was lightly breaded so you were getting all chicken. Everything was freshly made to order and you could taste the quality. It was not greasy and did not make us feel that heavy tired feeling after either. The chef said he has been making sushi for if I remember correctly over 20 years and he gets everything fresh daily. We will be going back to try the rest of the items and the sushi very soon. If you want fresh good food, I would 100% recommend this place. I am happy to say our search has ended and I hope the owners believe when we said and say again, how amazing and delicious the food was. I've only eaten here one time and I thought it was pretty good. The only thing that leaves any question in my mind is that we didn't eat at the restaurant we took it home. We got sidetracked and didn't have a chance to eat the food for nearly an hour which affect the food quality so I can't say too much on this particular review. I'm going to attribute any possible negativity to my lack of timeliness in regards to consuming the food. The owners are friendly and happy to see you. Very polite and treat you well.
