We're back again and again visiting one of our favorite restaurant in town. We Love it so much that we keep going there once a month. Delicious food, great service, fantastic staff and lovely Ambiance of course...

I've been here a few times and have had OK service and the food was good but this past time that I went I feel like our order was getting mixed up they were bringing stuff we didn't order and then we weren't getting stuff that we did order. Our waiter wasn't very friendly and felt like we were more of a bother , the bathroom was very messy , I was in the bathroom and my family told me they had saw roaches crawling along the wall I felt so sick my husband showed me a pic and said there were a few, I talked to the manager who told me they had just sprayed and they were coming out I felt so grossed out, we payed over $100 for lunch for 4 people and we just lef

Came here for my birthday and was not disappointed. The server we had was Clinton. He was so nice and catering to my annoying food allergy to ginger. Even went as far as asking the kitchen if they cook with it which was no! He always checked on the table as well as making sure we had food or it was on the way. There was a lot of people waiting too but I think with the way it's set up gets everyone in and out really quick. I think we waited outside for 40 minutes and it was a Fresno states graduation so really good timing in my opinion! Will be coming again !

A solid place for sushi. Wouldn't recommend other offerings besides the teppanyaki. Tempura batter was way too dense. Fish to rice ratio will fill you up FAST. Fish quality was good. Will scratch the itch for a sushi craving. Can be a bit of a wait if you're going for dinner but service is always prompt and friendly!

This was my first time here with my family and EVERYONE left so satisfied! The sashimi was fresh and delicious. The rolls weren't heavy on the rice. The hibachi shrimp was perfectly grilled. Literally every we ordered was so good. Surprisingly we did not have to wait long for a table. Our waitress was attentive and allowed us to order multiple rounds of dishes. She checked in on us to see if we needed anything else, we never had to flag anyone down to order more food. Thank you for such wonderful service!!! I can't wait to come back! I will promote this restaurant to all my friends, coworkers and fellow sushi lovers! Amazing! Thank you for a delicious meal!

Had another incredible dinner here! Even with a packed house tonight, the service didn't skip a beat. Props to the staff because you could see how hard they were grinding to get food to the tables. The sashimi was so fresh and the rolls were delicious as expected, they never disappoint here. I wanted to take photos of all of the spread, but we were too busy eating to even think about it! If you're looking for amazing sushi and top-tier service, this is it.

I was craving sushi, and was visiting Fresno from the bay, and was told to come here... Ugh--where do I begin? Service/ ambiance: Came here on a Thursday around 8 to be greeted by a 45min. Wait--we stuck around. The place was super packed, and because the windows had the blinds down with art work; it felt a bit claustrophobic and overwhelming. We got an alert that our table was ready and checked-in. The hostess then left us, and waved us down to signal where we were sitting (they could've told us to follow them lol) The waitress was nice, but seemed a bit scattered. Automatically asked what we wanted, but we had never been here before, so wasn't sure how it all worked (they never explained). The walls of our booth were littered with scrape marks and chipped paint. The booth had no cushion whatsoever, making it extremely difficult to get comfortable (ok...there's a cushion, but it's flat). The table was the most annoying part. No matter if you scoot it more towards you or the other side there still so much space. I'm basically sitting at the edge of my seat trying to eat because of the distance--if you're a bit heftier on the stomach--it's perfect. (Random observation: the bathroom looks nice, but not well kept. There's graffiti and cravings all over, which makes me think I'm in the bathroom of a dive bar) Food: As I mentioned I was craving sushi--their selection was lack luster. Almost everything had the same ingredients. The salmon sashimi looked pale and had no color. There were some pieces that were sliced so thin you could basically see through it. I ordered two rolls for my daughter (crazy roll & snow mountain)--both were lacking flavor. The presentation for them was as if they didn't care or even try? Every time I picked one up it would fall apart. The Hibachi steak was cold and dry. Shot ribs were just lathered in sauce (not my preference), and mostly came with little meat and all bone. I'd only come back if the majority of people I'm with want to go, but I wouldn't suggest it myself. The service felt rushed. Food could have been presented/ prepared better. Space could've opened easily by letting us see out the windows and not feel so packed like a can of sardines, and could definitely use some touch up paint and better cushions. It could've been an off night, but this is what I experienced.

I've been wanting to try Tsukiji since they opened. I heard great reviews from friends and family, and finally I got the chance to try! The wait was about 40 minutes, however, you are able to "check in" online, we looked them up on google and it asks if you want check in, this puts your name on the list and then you get text messages about your spot! You can also check the link that is sent with the first text message to see where your spot is. Beautiful cherry blossom decorations All around and a unique ceiling embellishments. Made it a unique look. Service was awesome, and food came out fast, especially considering the place was pretty full. Our server was Clayton and he did a great job explaining how the restaurant works and answered our questions about the food items. He was also just attentive enough, that we didn't feel like we were waiting too long to ask for something else and also didn't feel like he was hovering. We came on a Saturday afternoon at a weird time. We were seated around 1:50pm. We knew they closed for lunch from 3pm-4:30pm, but we figured that they wouldn't "kick us out", however we were wrong. Haha. They do close to folks at 3pm. So Last call for dishes is around 2:30pm, and while we made our way out around 3pm, I don't know if they actually kicked anyone out. But beware that if you want your full 2 hour time limit here, don't go after 1pm. Now for the food- we tried so many things! My absolute favorite though was the Beef short Ribs. The sauce is so delicious!! Like a sweet sesame sauce. We had a few different rolls- Rainbow Roll, Dragon Roll, and a couple others. Dragon roll does have a sriracha kick to it. vegetable tempura, comes with pieces of broccoli, mushroom, bell pepper, sweet potato and taro. Taro was super bland. Next time i'd just order a broccoli or sweet potato tempura and skip the mixture. Shrimp tempura had lovely flavorful coating. Beef udon was delicious and I loved the flavor and noodles. I think I'd like to try the soup next time. One of the things we tried last second that was not what I expected was the fried scallops. They tasted fine, I just wasn't impressed by them and their little dollop of mayo. Overall, we enjoyed the concept of trying new dishes, next time I'll probably try some more hibachi meats, and some nigiri and maki rolls as opposed to the sushi rolls. Oh and get the ice cream to go!! Oh and keep in mind they will charge you for excess food waste, though we didn't ask what exactly that meant. Our meal was right around $90 for two, a soda and tax. Honestly, we felt that was reasonable.

Positive: The food is amazing. Tasty and satisfying because you can order until you're full. Our waiter was attentive and polite, despite him being stretched out between many tables. ( That's on management) Bad: This place has truly become a nightmare of cleanliness. The Greeter/ seater host, absolutely needs to be educated in customer service. Perhaps overstretched as well. Remember: I said the food is good, it actually saves the place, that can only last so long.

Make a reservation otherwise you will be waiting for at least an hour to get seated! I tried twice to walk in. Didn't know what to expect because it's an "all-you-can-eat" restaurant. Once in, the server guided us through the menu and explained the "turns". 1st round you order and order comes. 2nd round you order more and then a 3rd round. By the third you are full and order much less. Ice cream is served in those cute plastic cups with a wooden spoon. Raspberry, vanilla, strawberry and chocolate flavors and very refreshing after all that food. Sashimi, sushi and rolls are limited to 5 per person, per round because they don't want any food wasted. It's definitely worth it. I didn't pay so I don't know how much it cost, but I believe someone previously posted it was $35 per person. That's a great price since you tend to pay over $100 for two anywhere else. I ordered sashimi, nigiri, a roll and teriyaki salmon. The rest of the family had fried rice, asparagus, shrimp and clam tempura along with their rolls and sushi. Everything was delicious and our server was attentive, experienced and explained every section of the menu. For reference, we were a party of 11 on a Sunday for lunch. Reservations at 11 am. It got packed so fast. By 12 there were no open tables. Loved this place and plan to go back often. This was the old California Pizza Kitchen next to Lazy Dog.

Tsukiji is one of few spots in Fresno where you can get AYCE sushi. They have an extensive menu with plenty of options for nigiri, maki rolls, fried noodles, soup, hibachi meats, fried rice, and other fried foods. Personally, I think you get the most bang for your buck ordering the nigiri and maki rolls. You can order up to 5 nigiri per person per round, so we definitely stock up on that. I also enjoy their rainbow roll. Obviously the complexity of the rolls is not the same as you would get at a made-to-order sushi spot, but still solid. I went here when they first opened up and the service was not great. We were not attended to often, and some of our orders would be forgotten. However, I've gone back about 3 times now, and they must have done something to change that. The waitstaff is nice and attentive, and everything comes out relatively quickly. The shop itself has lots of Japanese-inspired decor, which adds to the vibe. I'd definitely recommend coming during lunch--I'm not sure how busy their dinner hour is.

getting a table -get there right when they open or join the online waitlist from anywhere -depending on the day and time, the wait can range from 1 to 2 hours -after joining the online waitlist, the system texts a link with your place in line and how long you've waited so far. it will text you when your table is ready, not when you're #5 or #3 in line. easy ordering -waiters come by very frequently to take orders -there are some item limits (i.e. you may order 3 pieces of sushi per order. you may order more sushi after your sushi plate is empty.) good food -fire sushi was different and interesting -i liked the sashimi, unagi and handrolls -menu has many options including ramen and udon superb service -for the most part, service is accurate and fast -food came out within 5-10 mins after ordering, except the wings took a while -all orders were accurate and nothing was missing -water is refilled often

I have gone here two times for the weekend (it's Dinner menu) with my parents and enjoyed it. My parents come during weekdays for lunch and rave about it all the time. The fish is great, especially the sashimi, as I really hate sushi rice at most AYCE due to inconsistent flavors (IYKYK). The menu has a huge selection from teppanyaki to tempura. You pretty much have a Japanese buffet delivered to your table. Service is 100! Friendly staff that ensures your table is cleared off from empty plates and ready to start the order process.

Whether you're craving sushi, teriyaki, or ramen, they really have something for everyone. The sushi and sashimi are incredibly fresh -- honestly some of the freshest fish we've had at any sushi restaurant. It tastes like the chef went out and caught it that morning. The 14-piece sashimi platter with a couple of rolls was more than enough for two people, and everything was excellent quality. The ramen is also fantastic, but fair warning: the bowls are HUGE, so definitely come hungry. I was seated and serviced right away. The staffs were very friendly and checked up on me every time. Mori (sushi chef) was so sweet and nice! He plated the sushi beautifully! Absolutely delivered! My favorite sushi is the sashimi platter which is raw high grade salmon and the best toro! Toro is for sure a delicacy, it's like high demand that's why it's so pricy. It is the under belly of a bluefin tuna. The texture is soft, buttery and rich and the word "toro" means melt in Japanese and it says it all! I'll like to come back again to try out their teppanyaki!

The interior has been renovated recently and it's nicely organized with the lots of space between the tables. It's a calm environment and not that loud which is favorable place to visit with infants. The service has been poor last year since they were under stuffed but now they have improved it which is greatly appreciated. The rolls are good but they are a little bit pricey since they are just a regular rolls and even sometimes it feels apart, though the fish has always been fresh.

We ordered the chicken salad with rice and were absolutely blown away. The restaurant is quaint, charming, and feels authentically rooted in its culture; makes you feel like you discovered a local gem. The salad was incredibly fresh, perfectly prepared, and the portion was huge. It was one of those simple meals that reminds you how amazing fresh ingredients can be when they're done right. I only wish we had something like this in Los Angeles. I'll definitely be dreaming about this salad for months to come! Highly recommend.

I will say the service is VERY quick, but unfortunately their quality has definitely gone down. It used to take them about 5 to 10 minutes getting these bowls ready with fresh ingredients. This time around it took them like 1 minute from the moment I paid.. which is great in the sense of time..but not great for the quality of the ingredients. I ordered their Chicken Teriyaki Bowl with 2 pieces of their California Roll. The chicken was shredded when it used to come in cut up pieces. The chicken felt stale and dry, as if it was made ahead of time and just sitting to be reheated as someone ordered. My bowl came with no veggies whatsoever, except for the chopped green onions for flavor and garnish. The rice to chicken ratio was unpleasant. I feel like I ordered rice with a side of chicken. The two pieces of California Rolls were definitely made ahead of time. The Nori was soft and observed the moisture. The flavors within the sushi were good though. The ratio of rice and avocado, plus the other condiments came together well. This was accompanied with some teriyaki sauce you pour over your teriyaki bowl and some wasabi sauce to add to your sushi if you wished to do so. The service itself was not rude, but also not the best. With everything put together, I'm pretty disappointed in my returning experience here. It was such a good place from what I remember. I'm not sure if it's new ownership or leadership since I was last here, but it is definitely not the same quality that made me want to keep coming back before. I won't be back, but you can always give it a try and see what your experience is.

It was quite an interesting industrial, unfinished aesthetic. Definitely nostalgic and made me miss my fixed up white Acura Integra..ala 2001. Yea..I'm a girl and yea I use to race. ;) Such a good pit stop on our family's Spring Break road trip to Yosemite. It definitely refueled us for the rest of our journey. Known for its customizable ramen bowls with flavorful broths and a wide variety of toppings, as well as, other menu items like rice bowls, bentos, and dumplings, Tsuchiya Ramen definitely lived up to it's almost 5 star Yelp reviews. The waitress was friendly and the food came out fairly quickly once our order was taken ~ less than 10 mins for sure! I ordered the spicy miso ramen ($17.99) with a sweet corn side (+$1.50) and complimentary topping of the fried garlic. The hakata (thin style noodles) were perfectly cooked, with a lil al dente bit to them. It had all the trimmings that I like ~ green onion, chashu, jammy egg, crunchy wood ear mushrooms, naruto fish cake, marinated bamboo, and nori. The broth was authentic, flavored with such depth. You can really taste the slow-cooked, miso quality in it. I loved the fried garlicky taste too! It was the right level of spice, I didn't even need to add any chili oil, like I usually do. My picky daughter opt'd for the "make your own ramen" option (starting at $12.99) ~ getting the same hakata thin noodle with tonkatsu broth, chashu (+$3.25), fried tofu (+$2.50), and freebie toppings of nori, sesame seeds & fried garlic. My son ordered the OG tonkatsu ramen w/ extra marinated bamboo (+$2) on the side. Lastly, the hubs wanted to eat lighter & healthier, so he opt'd for the teriyaki chicken rice bowl. Everyone loved their meal pick. Dare I say..I even think it ranks better than some of the ramen joints in the OC. Who knew Fresno was poppin' in the foodie dept? Lol A total RxFoodie recommend and I'd return if I'm ever in the area again!
