Had another incredible dinner here! Even with a packed house tonight, the service didn't skip a beat. Props to the staff because you could see how hard they were grinding to get food to the tables. The sashimi was so fresh and the rolls were delicious as expected, they never disappoint here. I wanted to take photos of all of the spread, but we were too busy eating to even think about it! If you're looking for amazing sushi and top-tier service, this is it.

I was craving sushi, and was visiting Fresno from the bay, and was told to come here... Ugh--where do I begin? Service/ ambiance: Came here on a Thursday around 8 to be greeted by a 45min. Wait--we stuck around. The place was super packed, and because the windows had the blinds down with art work; it felt a bit claustrophobic and overwhelming. We got an alert that our table was ready and checked-in. The hostess then left us, and waved us down to signal where we were sitting (they could've told us to follow them lol) The waitress was nice, but seemed a bit scattered. Automatically asked what we wanted, but we had never been here before, so wasn't sure how it all worked (they never explained). The walls of our booth were littered with scrape marks and chipped paint. The booth had no cushion whatsoever, making it extremely difficult to get comfortable (ok...there's a cushion, but it's flat). The table was the most annoying part. No matter if you scoot it more towards you or the other side there still so much space. I'm basically sitting at the edge of my seat trying to eat because of the distance--if you're a bit heftier on the stomach--it's perfect. (Random observation: the bathroom looks nice, but not well kept. There's graffiti and cravings all over, which makes me think I'm in the bathroom of a dive bar) Food: As I mentioned I was craving sushi--their selection was lack luster. Almost everything had the same ingredients. The salmon sashimi looked pale and had no color. There were some pieces that were sliced so thin you could basically see through it. I ordered two rolls for my daughter (crazy roll & snow mountain)--both were lacking flavor. The presentation for them was as if they didn't care or even try? Every time I picked one up it would fall apart. The Hibachi steak was cold and dry. Shot ribs were just lathered in sauce (not my preference), and mostly came with little meat and all bone. I'd only come back if the majority of people I'm with want to go, but I wouldn't suggest it myself. The service felt rushed. Food could have been presented/ prepared better. Space could've opened easily by letting us see out the windows and not feel so packed like a can of sardines, and could definitely use some touch up paint and better cushions. It could've been an off night, but this is what I experienced.

Came here for my birthday and was not disappointed. The server we had was Clinton. He was so nice and catering to my annoying food allergy to ginger. Even went as far as asking the kitchen if they cook with it which was no! He always checked on the table as well as making sure we had food or it was on the way. There was a lot of people waiting too but I think with the way it's set up gets everyone in and out really quick. I think we waited outside for 40 minutes and it was a Fresno states graduation so really good timing in my opinion! Will be coming again !

This is one of my family's fav places to go for lunch , you cannot beat the price for their delicious sushi and great menu . It's all you can eat , made to order some of our fav is hands down the sushi , hibachi and our new favorite is the sushi pizza so flavorful , service is always amazing , and I love the cherry blossoms that decorate the restaurant it's very casual and chill The only think I could say I didn't care for was the udon noodles but that is my personal preference.

We visited Tsukiji AYCE Sushi twice with our whole family. The first time, we arrived just before the weekend rush, which worked out perfectly because the restaurant filled up quickly. Weekend pricing is a little higher, but if you come hungry, it's definitely worth it. We had several sushi rolls, teppanyaki steak and chicken, and the fried rice. Everything was flavorful, and there was a great variety to choose from. They also offer a large selection of raw sushi, which the rest of my family really enjoyed. I personally prefer cooked sushi, and there were still plenty of delicious options for me. One thing we noticed between our two visits was that during our first visit, they brought out a variety of dipping sauces to go with our meal. On our most recent visit, we weren't offered any sauces, even though we noticed other tables receiving them. It wasn't a huge issue, but it was something we noticed. What we did appreciate both times was that we never felt rushed. Even when the restaurant got busy, we were able to enjoy our meal at our own pace, which made for a relaxing family dining experience. We originally decided to try Tsukiji because we'd been seeing it all over TikTok, and it lived up to the hype. Our second visit was still enjoyable, though not quite as memorable as the first. Overall, it's a fun place for family dinners or special occasions. Just be sure to arrive early on weekends and come with a big appetite to get the most out of the all-you-can-eat experience!

I've been wanting to try Tsukiji since they opened. I heard great reviews from friends and family, and finally I got the chance to try! The wait was about 40 minutes, however, you are able to "check in" online, we looked them up on google and it asks if you want check in, this puts your name on the list and then you get text messages about your spot! You can also check the link that is sent with the first text message to see where your spot is. Beautiful cherry blossom decorations All around and a unique ceiling embellishments. Made it a unique look. Service was awesome, and food came out fast, especially considering the place was pretty full. Our server was Clayton and he did a great job explaining how the restaurant works and answered our questions about the food items. He was also just attentive enough, that we didn't feel like we were waiting too long to ask for something else and also didn't feel like he was hovering. We came on a Saturday afternoon at a weird time. We were seated around 1:50pm. We knew they closed for lunch from 3pm-4:30pm, but we figured that they wouldn't "kick us out", however we were wrong. Haha. They do close to folks at 3pm. So Last call for dishes is around 2:30pm, and while we made our way out around 3pm, I don't know if they actually kicked anyone out. But beware that if you want your full 2 hour time limit here, don't go after 1pm. Now for the food- we tried so many things! My absolute favorite though was the Beef short Ribs. The sauce is so delicious!! Like a sweet sesame sauce. We had a few different rolls- Rainbow Roll, Dragon Roll, and a couple others. Dragon roll does have a sriracha kick to it. vegetable tempura, comes with pieces of broccoli, mushroom, bell pepper, sweet potato and taro. Taro was super bland. Next time i'd just order a broccoli or sweet potato tempura and skip the mixture. Shrimp tempura had lovely flavorful coating. Beef udon was delicious and I loved the flavor and noodles. I think I'd like to try the soup next time. One of the things we tried last second that was not what I expected was the fried scallops. They tasted fine, I just wasn't impressed by them and their little dollop of mayo. Overall, we enjoyed the concept of trying new dishes, next time I'll probably try some more hibachi meats, and some nigiri and maki rolls as opposed to the sushi rolls. Oh and get the ice cream to go!! Oh and keep in mind they will charge you for excess food waste, though we didn't ask what exactly that meant. Our meal was right around $90 for two, a soda and tax. Honestly, we felt that was reasonable.

Make a reservation otherwise you will be waiting for at least an hour to get seated! I tried twice to walk in. Didn't know what to expect because it's an "all-you-can-eat" restaurant. Once in, the server guided us through the menu and explained the "turns". 1st round you order and order comes. 2nd round you order more and then a 3rd round. By the third you are full and order much less. Ice cream is served in those cute plastic cups with a wooden spoon. Raspberry, vanilla, strawberry and chocolate flavors and very refreshing after all that food. Sashimi, sushi and rolls are limited to 5 per person, per round because they don't want any food wasted. It's definitely worth it. I didn't pay so I don't know how much it cost, but I believe someone previously posted it was $35 per person. That's a great price since you tend to pay over $100 for two anywhere else. I ordered sashimi, nigiri, a roll and teriyaki salmon. The rest of the family had fried rice, asparagus, shrimp and clam tempura along with their rolls and sushi. Everything was delicious and our server was attentive, experienced and explained every section of the menu. For reference, we were a party of 11 on a Sunday for lunch. Reservations at 11 am. It got packed so fast. By 12 there were no open tables. Loved this place and plan to go back often. This was the old California Pizza Kitchen next to Lazy Dog.

getting a table -get there right when they open or join the online waitlist from anywhere -depending on the day and time, the wait can range from 1 to 2 hours -after joining the online waitlist, the system texts a link with your place in line and how long you've waited so far. it will text you when your table is ready, not when you're #5 or #3 in line. easy ordering -waiters come by very frequently to take orders -there are some item limits (i.e. you may order 3 pieces of sushi per order. you may order more sushi after your sushi plate is empty.) good food -fire sushi was different and interesting -i liked the sashimi, unagi and handrolls -menu has many options including ramen and udon superb service -for the most part, service is accurate and fast -food came out within 5-10 mins after ordering, except the wings took a while -all orders were accurate and nothing was missing -water is refilled often

Tsukiji is one of few spots in Fresno where you can get AYCE sushi. They have an extensive menu with plenty of options for nigiri, maki rolls, fried noodles, soup, hibachi meats, fried rice, and other fried foods. Personally, I think you get the most bang for your buck ordering the nigiri and maki rolls. You can order up to 5 nigiri per person per round, so we definitely stock up on that. I also enjoy their rainbow roll. Obviously the complexity of the rolls is not the same as you would get at a made-to-order sushi spot, but still solid. I went here when they first opened up and the service was not great. We were not attended to often, and some of our orders would be forgotten. However, I've gone back about 3 times now, and they must have done something to change that. The waitstaff is nice and attentive, and everything comes out relatively quickly. The shop itself has lots of Japanese-inspired decor, which adds to the vibe. I'd definitely recommend coming during lunch--I'm not sure how busy their dinner hour is.

I have gone here two times for the weekend (it's Dinner menu) with my parents and enjoyed it. My parents come during weekdays for lunch and rave about it all the time. The fish is great, especially the sashimi, as I really hate sushi rice at most AYCE due to inconsistent flavors (IYKYK). The menu has a huge selection from teppanyaki to tempura. You pretty much have a Japanese buffet delivered to your table. Service is 100! Friendly staff that ensures your table is cleared off from empty plates and ready to start the order process.

Tsukiji offers excellent all-you-can-eat Japanese food. The four stars are for the fantastic value and the quality of their main dishes--the sushi, rolls, and hibachi steak are consistently delicious and fresh. I deduct one star because the wait times can be significant, and some appetizers are clearly just filler. Parking can be a problem at times.

My top choice for all-you-can-eat (AYCE) sushi in Fresno. This city has limited AYCE choices, but I think Tsukiji is on the right track. I have dined here multiple times, and it has mainly been consistent. From the service, drinks, and food we have always been content. The menu features a mix of appetizers, maki, sashimi, nigiri, and much more. They have several various items and options to choose from, especially if you are not a fan of sushi. What sets this restaurant apart from others is the availability of sashimi! Having that choice by itself is fantastic for sushi enthusiasts. Please remember that sashimi is available only during dinner, not at lunchtime. I've sampled the hibachi and appetizers, and they all taste quite nice. Tsukiji tends to be quite crowded at dinner, so anticipate longer wait times, particularly on weekends. Surely worth attempting. Remember, that this is good for Fresno and cannot be compared to other AYCE restaurants in California.

The sushi rolls was nasty and hella big

Came here hungry. Left so full! I like that this place is a AYCE sushi spot and the fact u can be seated and not even have to get up cus they will serve you is great. The decor was nice with the ceiling having the fake cherry blossoms. Coming in, the wait time wasn't too bad. We got seated at a booth. The service was excellent. Our server did good with taking our orders. It was my first time there. Literally while he was taking the orders, some of the food was already coming out. That's cus the tablet they use, it already sends them a notice in the kitchen once he taps on his tablet. So service was fast and quick. It was pretty busy in there for a Tuesday night. We ordered a couple of things. Most of the food we ordered comes in a single order, not pairs. Like the sashimi, nigiri or hand rolls.. we stayed away from what would make us full and tried to eat our moneys worth since it was like $35 a person for dinner.. don't quote me on that but I think that was the price. I didn't do any rice bowls or udon or ramen bowls. You'll see in the pics what we ordered. I thought the food was okay. Some stuff we ordered I did not like. And the spider roll was deceiving cus it said it came with crab meat and "soft crab" so one would think soft shell crab cus what's soft crab if it already came with crab meat which we knew to be imitation.. it only came with imitation so we told them the problem and they said they wouldn't charge us the fee for not finishing the food.. the sushi rolls are way too big with hella rice and don't taste good. The scallops are fake like imitation scallops.. the shrimp tempura was good but first bite was nothing but the breading.. the sashimi was good. We had tuna, escolar, salmon and yellow tail. The unagi was decent.. miso soup came out luke warm.. big disappointment. Also wish they had more sauce options. They only have siracha, eel sauce, teriyaki, spicy mayo and tempura sauce. Oh and sweet n spicy sauce for the cream cheese wonton things which I did not try. They do have soy sauce, ginger and wasabi as well. The hibachi steak was probably one of my favorite bites there and also the short ribs. The mayo fire torched nigiri was gross. It had no taste and the torch taste on there tasted like it was torched with a Bic lighter. At the end when he asked if we wanted ice cream, we all opted for strawberry. Opened one to try and that mf was soft serve like literally soft fuckin serve as in it was already melting and not frozen! We asked for him to take the other two back cus we didn't even finish the one we opened. I don't think I will be returning but if I ever, ever do it'll just be for the hibachi steak, short ribs and sashimi..

I am not much of a sushi snob but have a few key indicators of quality; how spicy is the wasabi?, how fresh is the fish? And how are the Nigiri fish portions? This establishment scores low on all three. I was tasked to pick out our rolls after we got a rainbow roll for our granddaughter. Nearly all of their "specialty" rolls had cream cheese or "spicy tuna". First, I am never going to eat cream cheese in a fish roll. Second, chili powder is often used in minced fish to cover up off flavors. I ordered another rainbow roll, an Alaska roll, and a Shadow Bridge roll. We never did receive the 2nd rainbow roll, the salmon on top of the Alaska Roll was small squares with a sesame oil that tasted a tad rancid, and the Shadow Bridge was a HUGE pile of fried onions with a roll underneath so it was heated. Needless to say we ate what we could and just agreed we would try a different place with her next time.

One word of advice: if you're planning to join the waitlist, I recommend calling ahead for a more accurate wait time. The website initially showed no one ahead of us, but after joining the waitlist it indicated several parties were waiting. When we arrived, we were told the wait would be about 45 minutes, which wasn't ideal with a couple of hungry kids. Thankfully, we were seated within about 10 minutes. Our server, Patrick, was fantastic! He provided excellent customer service, took the time to explain the sushi rolls, helped us navigate the kids' menu, and was attentive throughout our meal. Patrick, thank you for helping make my mom's birthday dinner so memorable. Khasey was our chef, and the food was absolutely delicious. He made sure we had every sauce we asked for. The teppanyaki experience for the children was engaging and fun. To top it off, the staff brought out a cute birthday dessert and sang a birthday tune for my mom, which made the celebration even more special. The location is another huge plus. It's situated in a great area near Fresno State with plenty to do before or after dinner, including ice cream shops, boba spots, VR gaming, and movie theaters. Overall, we had a great experience and can't wait to come back!

Reservation recommended, it gets busy for a reason.

We come back again and again just for those, and we've even called in takeout orders when a craving hits. We also love the Poke Nachos, topped with generous chunks of sashimi, avocado, and jalapeños. The fries and poke nachos together are more than enough for two people to share for lunch, and for dinner we usually order one of their delicious rice bowls. The restaurant has a great atmosphere with a bar area featuring TVs, a separate dining room with high-top tables where the sushi bar is, and a back dining area with standard-height tables and chairs. There's also a beautiful patio overlooking a water fountain and courtyard, making it a great spot to enjoy a meal outdoors. If you're visiting Namikaze for the first time, the Loaded Otaku Fries are an absolute must-order!

So when my son asked us to meet him, his lovely wife and our 3 granddaughters for dinner on a recent visit I didn't have my hopes up. Namikaze is a nice quiet restaurant that from its decor could easily be an Italian, French or American restaurant. Just change the paintings on the wall. The Menu is pretty expansive. A full menu of Sushi, noodles, gyoza and rolls made it difficult to choose but eventually we narrowed it down. I always try the Unagi (eel) at any sushi restaurant. It is my barometer for how good everything else will probably be. It was good. I also ordered the Kimono Roll while my wife had Shogun roll. We also tried the Chicken Gyoza. Everything was terrific. Excellent taste and fresh. Next time someone asks me about Fresno I'll say "Fresno! They have good sushi there". Definitely Recommended.

Pros: Sushi is pretty fresh for Fresno. Portions are good. Decent prices. Bento boxes are not bad. Friendly staff. They answer their phone for takeout orders even when super busy. Orders usually take 20-30 min to be ready. Cons: They skimp on the spicy mayo so you have to tell them to fill it all the way up since it's $1 each. Use to be $0.25 each. Don't recommend the fried rice (bland); maybe try getting a few tips from teppan chefs ;) Tried other places and this is our go to place for sushi. Expect a loud atmosphere when walking in but most restaurants are these days. All in all, would recommend this place if you happen to be in the area and craving sushi.

The flavor is there though It's supposed to have cream cheese, asparagus, jalapeño and beef inside but it had almost nothing. There was beef on the outside but for a 27 dollar roll I expected much more. I was disappointed. It was also a bit wet by the time it got to me via DoorDash. Sauces should be served on the side. I think if all the fillings were there I would have rated much higher.

Huge menu with a lot to choose from - I usually go for the bento boxes. The tempura isn't greasy but it's crunchy. Gyozas are good and fresh. The sushi I've tried has been tasty too. There's another side to the restaurant that I believe is the teppanyaki side. Haven't experienced it yet since I've only come for lunch. I'm wondering if they get a lot of business since it's so barren when I go. Hoping they get enough business because I do enjoy this restaurant!

Once we walked in we noticed it was pretty empty for a Saturday afternoon, but nonetheless we weren't bothered or worried. We feel our experience will be all the more better with just us 2 in the restaurant. Either way, we're good, the food will speak for itself. We decided to sit at the sushi bar and glad we did! Great music selection and the sushi chefs were a blast to talk with. Their humor made our lunch even that more enjoyable. We definitely made some friends and looking forward to come back another time.
