This is the first stop on the Green/C line of the Metro. They have a large parking lot of 1800…read morespots. I don't take the Metro on the regular, so I can't comment on what it's like to park here on a weekday. It appears that they put in a $3/day fee on weekdays, to help with freeing up more spots for daily commuters. Parking here is free on holidays and weekends. I chose to park here when taking the C line to go to Sofi Stadium. It costs $1.50 to take the C line from Norwalk to LAX/Metro Station. There's a complimentary shuttle at that stop to go to SoFi. It's a great reason to come by. I look forward to when the LAX People Mover opens in 2026. I hope that will be a game changer in the LAX experience! For those headed to LAX, they have shuttles to and from LAX going around the clock. I don't know that I'd want to take the metro to LAX with my large luggage; however, I think it's absolutely the cheapest way to access LAX and SoFi Stadium!

With just a little effort I found out that I could ride the metro C line and get to El Segundo and not have to deal with rush hour traffic on the ride home. The Chargers new practice facility The Bolt was my destination and the train station was within walking distance. The parking lot in Norwalk had plenty of parking spaces and costs $3 for the day. The Norwalk station is at the beginning of the metro line and so it was very easy to find an open seat. This was my first time riding on it and it was pretty nice. Quicker than the flow of the 105 in a lot of places. There were many stops on the way to El Segundo and you don't wait very long before you are on the way again. On open stretches of the freeway we actually moved faster than the cars! so this train is fast. Tip - make sure you pay for your parking pass. Security guards check your car's license plate and will ticket you. Also the lot is patrolled by the police as well as the Security Patrol. I was pleasantly surprised at how well run the Norwalk Transit Authority provided for a safe and effective way for the public to use the buses and metro rail.

I spoke with Vicki to book the services for ten (10) hours in a late-model stretch limousine in the best condition possible. She said that I would get a 2012 late model limousine. I wanted to make sure I got a car that looked virtually flawless, but that is not what I got. The day of the wedding, the driver arrived about 15-20 minutes early. I was still being photographed and videotaped at that time inside the hotel, so I told the driver over the phone that I would be coming down to meet him at the agreed upon time. Once I got there, I immediately saw that the car was in bad condition with several areas that were bubbling with rust. The leather top was cracked in several places, and even the passenger rear quarter panel molding was missing. I don't believe a 2012 model limousine would be in that condition, so it had to be a lot older. When I looked in the front compartment, the interior was very dirty and disorganized. I told the driver that the car looked absolutely terrible and was not acceptable at all for my wedding day. The driver was nice and got right on the phone with his supervisor. I also contacted Vicki, who immediately apologized, and she arranged for a replacement vehicle to arrive at the ceremony site. Once I took photographs of the limousine as evidence of what it looked like, quite a bit of time had already elapsed. The problem is that my bride and I were late to our own wedding as a result. In addition, the photographers and videographers could not take good photos because of the condition of the car. So the damage was already done on my wedding day. A replacement car did arrive at the ceremony site. It turned out that the original car they sent was the wrong car. But whether or not it was the correct car is not the point. Why would anyone want a limousine that is clearly rusted and has bubbling in the lower door panel??? I wouldn't want that for any event, let alone a wedding. Clearly, I did not receive the product that was contracted and promised to me. Their website says under the link "Latest News" (as of 7/27/2014) that their "professional vehicles are meticulously maintained and cleaned inside out and arrive spotless for dependable service." Not on my wedding day it wasn't. When I wrote an e-mail about my concerns (early in the morning 7/25/2014), I never got an apology or follow-up by e-mail. I did get in contact with Vicki again later in the day, and she was apologetic. However, she said that she didn't feel that any monetary compensation was necessary since the car never broke down, and they were already giving me a good deal below their regular price. They offered a complimentary use of a vehicle at a future time, but that doesn't solve anything. I never want to use their company again. Plus, they did not deliver the initial service as agreed upon, and they ended up being late with the correct vehicle, so they are not entitled to the full value of the services. She promised that the "owner" would call me that day, Friday 7/25/2014, or by Saturday the 26th at the latest. I asked her if I could get the direct phone number to the "owner", but she assured me that the "owner" would definitely be in contact. Guess what?? No response. They have kept silent because they don't want to admit any responsibility for sending a poorly kept-up vehicle and making me and my bride late to our own wedding. Well, I have some news for them. I am posting the pictures of the original limousine for all to see and I am stopping payment on the credit card. Let's see what a judge in court says about whether they completely fulfilled their end of the contract with no damages. Please do yourself a favor and think twice before using their service. Second, the…read moreGold Line is no more, and this station is now the eastern terminus of the E Line (it was formerly the the southeast terminus of the Gold Line and then the eastern terminus of the southern half of the severed Gold Line)--new experience and all. PARKING STRUCTURE It used to be free on weekends, but it no longer is. That's kind of annoying, but $3 for three hours is pretty good. There are plenty of parking spaces. You can use the Metro app to pay for parking, or you can use the machine on the first level. If you use the machine, you'll need your license-plate number, so either memorize it or take a photo of it before you go downstairs. There's only one pay station. I believe parking is free from four a.m. to eleven a.m., but I may just be misreading things. You would end up paying way more for parking (and gas) if you drove to your final destination, so don't complain about a dollar an hour. Unfortunately, there's only one entrance to the parking structure, and you have to be heading southbound on South Atlantic Boulevard to enter, so even though the address of the station itself and its platform are technically on Pomona Boulevard, you'll need to approach on Atlantic from the north to park. Trust your GPS in this one case. The elevator is Peesville, USA, so don't use it if you don't need to, and don't touch anything with your bare hands. E LINE If you want to go from East L.A. to Santa Monica for $1.75 (or $0.35 if you're a senior outside of rush hour), this is your stop! I've yet to make that entire trip, but I've now traveled to two Notre Dame-USC games from here. The first time, it was to Jefferson/USC Station to see the Notre Dame women dominate the No. 3 Women of Troy at the Galen Center. The second time, a week later, to Expo Park/USC Station to see the Notre Dame football team punch its College Football Playoff ticket against a defenseless Trojan defense. Atlantic was our starting and returning point on both occasions, and it still scores three stars as a station. They need more fare machines. At the eastern (parking-structure) end of the platform, there are only two. Because the machines are so complicated, this is nowhere near enough, especially at the beginning/end of a line. My other complaint is that the distance from the eastern end of the platform to the parking structure is ridiculously long. I never noticed this before, but then I had never ridden the train with someone who couldn't easily walk long distances before. When the E Line gets extended farther east (all the way to Whittier!), they're actually going to rebuild the platform southeast of where it now sits. I hope they take walking distance from parking to the new platform(s) into account.

Know your license plate number to punch into the kiosk. $3 for public parking (only after 11am) Can pay via credit card or cash at the kiosk. Transit riders can also pay via an app. I suppose it is a changing of the times. An extra $2 plus $1.75 in one way fare is still reasonable enough to avoid the headache of driving and parking in downtown.
