Suntech was recommended to me for my foam roof repair and maintenance by my general contractor friend, Paul. Bill from Suntech came out within a few days after my call to provide a quote, and he told me I didn't have to be home for him to do so. He then emailed me the quote. He also mentioned he would take care of a small area of add-on shingles by covering it with foam, as the rest of my roof was foam. Bill also provided his professional opinion about how I should time the installation of new gutters relative to the roof repair (Answer: afterwards). I chose Bill from 4 quotes, even though he was the most expensive by hundreds of dollars. Here is why I believe I made the best choice: Bill provided a clearly written estimate on what could be expected and what his services did not cover, and included how to contact the State Contractor's Board if need be. His license number was printed on the contract. The worker that did the work at my place told me he has worked for Bill for more than 20 years, a telltale sign of how well he treats his staff. Bill provided a 5-year warranty. When my scheduled work date and time arrived, there was a possibility of rain, and Bill communicated with me frequently over a period of 5 days, as the weather forecast was updated, about when and why the work might need to be postponed since the coating needs 24-hours to 48-hours to dry for best results, even though it would throw his whole schedule off. He clearly had high quality in mind. Every time I called or texted him, he called back immediately. Another hallmark of professionalism is that Bill's workers left my place immaculate on the days they were there. In fact, I think they cleaned up so well that my yard looked better than before they came! I have read these other reviews and I know that Bill is very busy and that may be why he neglected to return a call or two. In fact, I had to wait 2 months to fit into his schedule after the initial estimate. It was well worth the wait! Overall, Bill was professional, timely, and responsive. I am not a roofing professional by trade, so I can't assess the quality of work. But I am confident it will prove to be as promised, because I have a 5-year warranty, he came highly recommended, and Bill was upfront and professional throughout the entire experience. We are very disappointed in the professionalism of this company. We own in Thunderbird Heights. We had a leak coming into our house and so we climbed up onto the roof and found that a plastic bucket was being used to cover an old furnace vent, Since Bill's team had done prior work and completed an inspection of our roof, we were not really sure how we could have a make-shift plastic bucket patch covering the dormant vent. We called Bill on Monday the 20th and told him our roof is leaking into our house, and explained to him it was the cracked plastic bucket and he said he would get his guys out here to fix the leak in the roof by the end of that week. Meanwhile, Friday of that week came and gone and he never showed up and never called, so we called him on the following Monday the 27th and he said he was just too busy and needed another week or two to get to our job? He admitted he simply failed to keep his promise of a visit the prior week. Then to make things worse, he started cursing at us, all when this was their fault not ours! Appreciated the phone conversations and the responses from Bill. However, he didn't bother to come out or send someone to physically look at my roof. Not sure if this is how business is done with him and his company, but I didn't appreciate this part of it. He did give me an estimate based on the pictures from the inspectors report, but compared to the company that actually came out in person their estimates were very far apart. Let's just say Bills estimate was thousands of dollars more expensive. I've owned a condo in Indian Wells for 16 years and all my knowledge of roof repair/replacements has been in the "traditional" composite/fiberglass all weather climate category. I called Bill Fitzgerald (owner) as I had stains coming through the paint underneath a sloped "felted" barrier roof covered with terra cotta tile. Flew in and called Suntech. Bill came out next day and gave me a no bull sh$t synopsis of what was needed. Just new layers of 40 lb and flashing repair/updates where needed. I hired 3 weeks later and job started 4 days after signing. This while I was back in my hometown. I made it out for the the last two days of job and was amazed at professionalism of work and pride showed by employees. I own many properties all around the US and this was the best and no hassle type of work I always wish for as there is enough to worry about in a full day.
