I've been bringing my dogs here for many years. I'm very disappointed in what has been going on there. Most of the staff has been replaced. Most aren't very kind. The prices have gone up and the girls are brutal! Pay more money to be treated like ! Not sure why they feel the need to be rude to everyone. It's ridiculous! Dr. Perez is a wonderful vet, he has taken care of my families dogs for many years. I really wish he had a say so in the staff. I've recommended this vet office to a couple people. They went there a couple times and now are going someplace else for all the reasons I have mentioned. Such a shame! read more

These people are terrible. Refused to renew a simple allergy medication that my 10 year old dog has been on for 7 years without an office visit, which couldn't be done until later in the week. Meanwhile the dog has to suffer with intensive itching. Borderline Animal Cruelty. They are extremely overpriced. Customer for over 20 years but NO MORE AFTER TODAY. The just lost 5 dogs, 3 cats and $10k *in future income. Not too smart. read more

We have been using Suntree since we moved here in 2019. I cannot praise them enough (the vets, the techs and the office staff) for their professional, caring treatment of our dog and cat. We recently had to have our 17 year old dog put to sleep, and they could not have been more caring and compassionate. We have used the boarding in the past for our dog, and not only did they take great care of her, but they texted us every day to check in and give us a report on how she was doing. I have been using this clinic for the last year and up until now they have been fantastic. It really makes me sad to give them one star and I hope this is just a one time thing, but it's pretty awful. We have boarded Bella here before (October) and when we picked her last time, up her bed was washed and cleaned, her toys were washed and cleaned, she was washed and clean. We did pay for a bath. We were really impressed! I would have given 10 stars, however she did come home with kennel cough, which she has never had in her entire life. That cost us an additional $160.00. Jump to Thanksgiving weekend, we took all her things in there washed and cleaned as usual right before we brought her in, we boarded her from Wednesday morning until Saturday afternoon. We returned to pick her up today to a urine soaked bed, still wet with the tech telling us it was just water. My truck, my garage and now my dog all smell like rancid dog urine which makes me wonder just how long she was in that kennel before someone checked on her? You can't tell me someone didn't notice that smell. Completely unacceptable. I now have to wash her again, after I paid for a bath, she is obviously agitated from either being left alone too long and/or laying in her own urine or both. I understand that this was a holiday weekend and people want to be with family but our dogs are family too and I really thought they were treated that way here, and I trusted them to do so. This is what we have been shown in the past, and honestly, it's what I really liked about this place. It's what I expected and what my dog and every dog deserves, they already don't know where they are, and the least y'all can do is take good care of them while they're away from home. If your not willing to do your job even during a holiday weekend, especially when it comes to a living being, then maybe you're in the wrong career. read more

I would have given Suntree Vet a minus 5 had that been a choice! Two years ago, we boarded our little Italian Greyhound with them, and she was either dropped or not watched carefully and wound up with a broken leg that required a steel plate and a dozen screws to keep in place. During this very stressful and heartbreaking time for us, Suntree refused to take responsibility and gave us an extremely difficult time in paying for the medical care required to repair our badly injured pup. Suntree's owner showed a complete lack of compassion and just the proved that greed is what his vet practice is based on. read more

We have been using Suntree Animal Clinic since moving here in 2019. Our dog had a sore leg last December and racked up over $400 in bills from exams, blood work, x-rays etc...They gave her a prescription on the 2nd visit that worked and she made a recovery. Last week the same issue came up again. I gave her the remaining meds leftover from December. When I ran out, I tried to reorder from Chewy.com. The vet REFUSED TO FILL IT. They said they wouldn't approve it without me taking the dog in for ANOTHER OFFICE VISIT and BLOOD WORK. Surely, the medication that worked before would work again? It sure seems strange that HUMANS can get pharmacy refills, but dogs have to go in for blood work to get medication? It's a money maker obviously. read more

My family and myself have been loyal customers of suntree animal clinic for almost 20 years. I went there as a child with my mother. It has been hard for me to decide whether I should write this review or not but so feel that it is necessary. Back in May our Lhasa Apso Oscar began throwing up in the middle of the night. We took him to animal specialty and emergency off of Viera Blvd that night and they could only chalk it up to him having eaten something to hurt his stomach. When we got home he was frantic and pacing so I gave him an acepromazine to calm him down in hopes that he would get sleep. Upon waking up in the morning he was still quite out of it but alert, as it takes that medication about 12 hours to wear off. When he was continuing to puke and having diarrhea of a strange consistency, almost like raspberry jam I called suntree to see if I could please bring him in. This was about 8 hours post emergency vet. When I got there they are of course doing Covid related drop off and having you wait in the parking lot. Dr. Perez called and said that he would like to keep him for the day but there was nobody there overnight due to the Covid. I left and awaited a call from Dr. Perez. When he did call he said that Oscar was diabetic and that he would like to keep him the rest of the day for fluids. Around 5 that afternoon I returned as told to pick Oscar up. They were quite busy so I waited in the parking lot. After an hour they brought him out to me IV still in arm, having just had raspberry diarrhea again, and completely limp. They told me to give a few hours and if he would not eat take him to emergency vet. If all went well to return in the morning. I waited another 20 minutes to pay and then came home. Once home I realized how severe the situation was as Oscar would not eat or drink and couldn't stand. He again had the diarrhea. We rushed him down to Eau Gallie Animal Hospital. They came out to get him and then almost promptly rushed me in to have him put to sleep. On my way down I emailed suntree for the bloodwork and results of the day that they had failed to send me as promised for if I needed to head in. Oscar was 7 years old. A young healthy dog. He was now deceased, he passed almost instantly. The diagnosis... hemmoragic gastroenteritis. When I got home and finally managed sleep I heard my phone ding around 2am. It was the results that I had asked for. I responded simply telling them that Oscar had passed. Having been a loyal customer if suntree for so long I didn't feel the need to throw a fit or slam them on social media. It wasn't going to bring Oscar back. I resolved to silently pull my remaining animals and try to move on with life. That was until last week I received a bill in the mail for $62.00. Not only did I receive this bill, it was threatening to send it to collections. I was stunned and heartbroken, I felt that it must be a mistake so I called. Allegedly it was charges that had not been put in before I left that day. Charges that were not put in, in the hour and 20 minutes that I waited patiently in my car. They also claimed that I had agreed to pay it when aid brought Oscar back in the morning. Untrue. I asked to speak to somebody about the bill and they informed me that office manager Susan would give me a call that Monday. Over the weekend I thought about the fact that Dr. Perez has never even reached out to tell me he was sorry. Nobody had said that they were sorry. I then decided that I would like to talk to Dr. Sims, that he might like to know what had occurred at his clinic. When I called I was basically refused and passed back to office manager Susan. As she bumbled on the phone and told me that they had sent me three previous bills so was stunned. I have been so good about paying bills there that as a young 20 year old Dr. Sims let me make payments on a surgery for my beloved dog Bubba. She told me that people like to dodge paying and that after three months she does put the collections notice on there. I had received no call and no bill. After a stupid I'm sorry for your loss she got off the phone. I called back a few days later and paid the small bill deciding that my anger and angst was not going to be solved by not paying that bill. The office may have thought they would succeed in keeping this from Dr. Sims. I can guarantee you that he will read this review as well as others. This situation was NOT okay and you should be ashamed. Dr. Perez couldn't even be bothered to call or sign his name to the sorry for your loss card. My heart is broken. Not only at the loss of my dog, but at the loss of a trusted vet for over 20 years. read more

Took our new kitty from the pound in for his "free" check-up in Oct 2020. They suggested we treat for fleas with the 3-month Bravecto topical. They gave me the box from the medication so I would know what he got. I just now ran across this box and the expiration date of the Bravecto was September 2018! We fought those fleas for a while and thought this stuff wasn't working until I dosed him myself 3 months later. Any vet that would use EXPIRED medicine on an animal is NO GOOD! Aside from that I found it hard to understand the vet over the phone as I was waiting in the car. After this I went to another vet even without yet knowing of the expired flea treatment he used. We have been using Suntree Animal Clinic since our move here five years ago. They take very good care of our Gio who is a Shih - Tzu. They work with you, the employees are fantastic and the Dr's are top notch. Dr. Coughlin is our go to, but they are all good. Tiffany, Heather, and Isabell are just a few of the dedicated worker's there. I apologize for not knowing all the names. The whole place is just wonderful! They board with a reservation, have Doggie play time on Tuesday and Fridays also with a reservation. Note play time is not always available during the holidays when people go out of town. This vet clinic has been there for me for 15 years and his staff has always been courteous and respectful. I want to think them for being there to help me send my baby over the rainbow bridge. They did everything possible to keep her with me an extra year, which I will always be great full for. They kept her an extra day because the cremation company accidentally missed picking her up, called me to let me know when they didn't show up and never even suggested charging me for the extra time. (At an emergency clinic they charged me $75.00 to hold my corgi, Ready, for 20 minutes). I highly recommend this facility. I'm sure they will be there for you as they were for me. read more
