Had our system installed in 2022. This year when I turned it on, it was leaking from the roof. I called to schedule service and when I received the email confirming the appointment, it stated they will charge $205 for the first 30 minutes and then $205 per hour after that. WHAT?!?! Their average tech makes between $25 - $40 per hour. How can they justify that labor rate? Crazy. I will be fixing this myself. BTW, the system is under warranty, but labor is not included. read more

Warranty issue regarding a system your team installed less than 90 days ago. The actuator valve has already begun to malfunction, rendering both my hot tub and the solar heating system unusable--two products I invested in with the expectation of quality and reliability. When I contacted their team, I was told the earliest available service appointment was 25 July 2025 due to a recent windstorm. While I understand that weather events can cause temporary backlogs, an 11 -day delay for warranty work on a newly installed system is unacceptable. This extended wait time suggests a lack of adequate support infrastructure for post-installation service, which is deeply concerning. Given the circumstances, I respectfully would think the following would have happened: - That my warranty service be prioritized due to the recency of the installation and the complete loss of functionality. - A clear explanation of why such a long delay is considered acceptable for warranty claims. - Improved service timelines moving forward. I chose your company based on its reputation, but this experience has left me questioning that decision. I hope we can resolve this quickly and restore my confidence in your service. When the system is working it is great. It is more than promised, making it a great investment. As, you are able to use it to heat your pool and cool your roof. So, you get a two for one from the upgrade making it a great purchase and for me will pay for itself a lot sooner than later. But this is the first issue that I have had in such a short period. *********************Update************************* So, after a 15-minute video chat with my pool builder. They walked me through how to reset the switch and adjust it to get it working correctly again. A screwdriver and needle nose pliers did the trick. Let's hope that fixes it. read more

Suntrek We have been with Suntrek Solar since our pool was installed in 1994.This system has worked extremely well for our family!!! When las vegas had the awful hail storm during a summer monsoon; we had to replace several parts due to hail damage . Suntrek worked wonderfully with our insurance company and all repairs were done well ... Not until this last service call a summer start up, a few weeks ago , have I ever encountered a negative experience with their service crew. Unfortunately one of their lead crew members blew me off saying it was my pool system that was failing not the solar . I was very perplexed because of my pool pump was functioning perfectly or my pool would have been green ; this was not the case ... I told the service tech it might be one of the check valves but he "blew me off " saying it doesn't matter .. I was then charged for the service call with an additional time and a replacement part of vr valve ; at a total price of $365 and my system was still not working ; the crew walked away .... A couple of weeks later I called back replying my pump and filter is working just fine but the solar is not and requested a different crew member to come .. Here comes John to save the day !!! He listened to what has transpired and my concerned about being "blown off " by the first visit ... Within minutes he new it was the check valve , replaced the part , and then made sure everything was working properly and the solar valves in the correct position because the first crew had them wrong !! $205.00 dollars for a service call that ended up taking less than 15 minutes. Did not attempt to repair myself due to any "unauthorized repair" potentially voiding warranty, Minor leaks from the pressure relief valve (at the threads) supposedly due to the thread compound initially used during installation and an o-ring on another portion that was allegedly crimped during installation (speaks to quality and reliability component and standing behind their workmanship). Satisfied with the technicians, communication and scheduling at Suntrek Solar and knew the "risks" and understand the business case for a $205.00 minimum service call but don't necessarily like it. Got a 16 point inspection in 15 minutes as a bonus. read more

My house had a Suntrek roof solar pool heater that got destroyed by recent winds in Las Vegas. The company was not very forthcoming about the details of the warranty and finally explained that wind damages are not covered at all by the warranty. I requested a new quote. The quote didn't include the exact details of the product that was proposed, no technical specifications, no leaflet and no country of origin details. The panel surface was about 50% smaller than that offered by Celestial. I asked about the reason for the large difference in size and a calculation to back up their small panel surface, which I never got. Needless to say, I was happy to have my new system installed by Celestial, they provided a quote that included lifetime warranty, a US made product that is rated for winds up to 120 mph and a panel surface size that was actually hydro-thermically calculated. I am an Engineer and my wife is a Lawyer, we both thought that Suntrek could have done a better job (technically as well as legally in regards to the warranty details). I do give two stars because Suntrek's manager came to see me personally and was very friendly. If you consider getting a solar pool roof heating system installed by Suntrek, make sure to ask following questions: 1. What are the system warranties and do they include wind? 2. How was the panel size calculated? 3. Where are the panels made and what exact product will be used? When comparing to other quotes, make sure you compare the surface of the panels. read more

I chose Suntrek to fix an issue we were having with our pool solar heating system. There is no doubt in my mind that I made the right decision. The moment I met the service technicians Luis Manzo Jr. and Eric Manzo in the front of my house I was impressed with how polite and professional these two gentlemen are, Exactly the types of service technicians you want to greet when they arrive. Luis explained in detail the issues Eric had found when inspecting my system. It was some sort of release valve and a few o-rings that were causing the issue. Luis suggested changing a few more of the o-rings, I'm pretty good at spotting when someone is trying to talk me into unneeded repairs. I felt no reason to not trust his judgement. Called this company to setup an initial appointment. They showed up to that appointment on time as planned. I called them back to go ahead setup the next step. They made an appointment with me to come back to my home and evaluate the roof and take measurements. They never showed up or called to cancel or reschedule. I called them twice that day, called again the next day and left messages. Texted the original sales man who did come to my home and no one has called or responded to me yet. My appointment was last week. So I am not sure if I will be using this company even if they ever respond. 6/16/21 Update Troy from Suntrek reached out to me and set things straight. The guys did show up on the date they had originally scheduled and took the measurements. Although there was a slight miscommunication between both parties Troy made me feel comfortable and I made my decision to go ahead and use Suntrek. Around 2003 we built a pool/spa/fire pit and landscaping through a locally owned (Las Vegas) company. They subcontracted the solar installation through SUNTREK. Thirteen years later we had minimal (more like maintenance) issues with our solar equipment and could not have been more satisfied. In 2015 we downsized our home, repeating the pool-to-landscaping process. It never occurred to us to to check on the subcontractors only to find a different solar company (now closed) was used. Shortly after installation we experienced solar equipment failure a number of times. After several calls to the solar company we were notified they had closed unexpectedly. We contacted the pool company and they recommended SUNTREK. Even though SUNTREK was not the original installer of the equipment-they were willing, capable, and professional as they provided service. The staff at SUNTREK is excellent. The quality of the staff is obvious in many respects, but most obvious is none of them has said anything disparaging about the original installer of the equipment. They came to replace our old solar system (they put the original system in with the original owners many years ago. They don't last forever. They arrived on time. Did the entire job in one day. We have a large roof, so they sent extra guys to get it done in one day (and we have a large house/roof/pool. Originally we were quoted it take 3 days total. So far so good, no leaks or anything. Suntrek responded quickly and Mr. Mango fixed the acute problem, left me a bill for what he had done, then told me there were a couple more problems which needed to be fixed. The Las Vegas hurricane winds loosened some of the pool solar heating pads. We called Suntrek. Amanda is wonderful. Actually answers the phone cheerfully and ensures appointments are completed. Jr. and the crew arrive on time, call to ensure we know when they will arrive and do a great job when they get here. Then more pads became loose within a month. Amanda arranged the crews arrival the very next day. They glued down the pads and amazingly did not charge me for the service. Last November (2019) I had Suntrek come to drain/inspect my pool solar system for the winter. They came within a day or two and did a great job so I had confidence I would not have a freeze-up during the winter months. Yesterday morning I called them to come out and turn my solar on for the summer months and set my pool pump timer for the summer months. I talked to Amanda from the LV Office and she is always pleasant, engaging and professional. She said she could have Jr. and Kyle out to my house that afternoon. They called 15 minutes before arriving and went right to work. Kyle went on the roof to inspect for leaks while Jr. re-set my timer and they were done in about 30 min. Everything was in order and there were no leaks or issues with the panels on my roof. I always get very good service from Suntrek and would recommend them. I did a lot of research before choosing Suntrek when we first moved into our home in Vegas. The original paneling system on the house went bad and needed replaced. Amanda was extremely helpful in guiding me in the right direction and providing appropriate options. We did end up replacing the panels as the old system was probably 20 years old. We are still completely satisfied with the work done. Fast forward to two days ago when our control system was reading an error, I called and left a message. Amanda called back in a timely manner and helped me troubleshoot the error message. Summertime in Vegas mean they get very busy, but JR and a couple other guys were able to come out the next day and fix the issue quickly and efficiently.
