She provided lots of information, answered my questions clearly, and made everything feel straightforward instead of overwhelming. Armando and his crew did the installation and they were excellent -- the install was completed in just 2 days, and everything was done in a clean, professional, and organized way. The workmanship looked solid and they left everything neat when they finished. Overall, great experience from start to finish. I would absolutely recommend Robco Electric if you're considering solar.

Both reviewers rated Robco as excellent, 5 of 5. Robco has a Yelp score of 4.7, based on 272 reviews. I was impressed by the enthusiasm any of the positive Robco reviews. We decided to go with Robco Electric, mostly because of their raving online reviews. Robco installs Q Cells panels, manufactured by a Korean company (I don't know if they use parts made in China). Their price was in line with the other installers with just over $24,000 upfront cost, with a net cost of just over $17,000 after the 30% federal tax credit. Our payback period was computed as 7 years, 11 months. I'm not sure we'll be living here long enough to realize the benefit, but supposedly solar panels add about 4% to the selling price of a home. Robco installed our panels just over two years ago, and after installation of the two-way meter and the Nevada Power inspection we were generating electric power and selling our excess back to the grid. Our system is rated at 8075Kwh, so we paid $3.02/Kwh before the tax credit, $2.11/Kwh after the credit. Since Nevada Power has been very aggressive about raising rates, our payback period will be somewhat less than estimated, which is great, I guess. I recently contacted Robco to see how they were doing. Their office manager was optimistic that the the "Big Beautiful Bill" eliminating the credit for solar installations would not destroy their business. He stated that even without the tax credit, solar was still justified in Las Vegas, since we get so much sun.

After several weeks Chase said he was laid off. I was put in contact with Sam. We'll call him full of s*it Sam. Said I needed a new roof and the agreement said there was no refund for the deposit, conflicting Chase. He agreed they would review the recorded call and a manager would contact me. I've tried repeatedly to contact them again and have been officially brushed off and never received anything. No refund or call back.. Also, Chase and I responded on calls and text on a cell phone. After I shared my concerns about the…read morenon-disparagement clause in the contract, I got a call from Solar Optimum's Director of Sales. He was professional and respectful, and took the time to explain their side of the clause. They're not trying to silence honest feedback across the board -- they're asking for 45 days to fix any issue before someone goes public with a negative review. I appreciate the clarification, but this is still an effort to silence consumer's right to free speech, which is something I take very seriously. I work with several brands that compete in various marketplaces, and this is a tactic I would never endorse. The clause, as written, sends the wrong message. It's written in very strong legal language, and yes, it absolutely reads like a threat. Telling a customer that their warranty could be voided over a "disparaging" comment -- even one that's truthful -- feels more like protecting the brand at the expense of the customer's rights. If a company's service is great and they handle problems with integrity, their customers won't feel the need to "disparage" them in the first place. To be clear, I otherwise had a good experience with Solar Optimum during the proposal stage, but ultimately decided not to sign due to what I consider to be a big red flag. I have no reason to believe that the positive reviews here are not genuine. I just have to assume that part of the reason they seem to out-index the rest of the industry is due to this type of tactic. I don't have a crystal ball - but the solar industry seems to be littered with companies who deal in deceptive practices, so if you want to be the "good guy", then you should have confidence that your customers will advocate for you. This isn't personal -- it's a broader concern about consumer rights. If you're thinking about signing with any solar company (not just this one), read the contract carefully, ask questions, and make sure your voice doesn't come with fine print attached.

Title: Customer-Focused, Knowledgeable, and Truly Committed - Sol-Up Delivers!…read moreAfter an exhausting experience with a nationwide solar provider--quickly realizing they were simply too big to care--I decided to move three rooftop solar projects to Sol-Up. From my initial email inquiry and the Sol-Up team's immediate follow-up, I knew I had made the right choice. I was fortunate to be assigned to work with Antonija, who, instead of rushing us into quick signatures or pushing products and lease programs that primarily benefit installers, patiently walked my wife and me through a full Solar 101 presentation. Admittedly, I'm someone with minimal patience, but I actually enjoyed the presentation and learned a great deal about product selection and design considerations. Sol-Up has been in business since 2009, and it shows. They are highly proficient at navigating the many obstacles in today's solar environment while remaining 100% customer-focused throughout the entire transaction. Antonija, Rita, and the leadership team treated us like family, offering sensible, customized solutions for each of our three rooftops. With the federal solar tax incentive set to decline at year-end, I highly recommend reaching out to Antonija and her team for a truly "Simple and Seamless" solar solution. You will not be disappointed.

My concern was never with Sol-Up as a company it was with how I felt I was treated during our interactions. After deciding not to move forward with the project, I experienced what I believe was unprofessional conduct. When I asked to speak with a manager regarding my concerns, I felt my request was not appropriately escalated. Following that, I believe I was subjected to repeated unwanted phone calls and what I perceived as retaliatory behavior, including a negative BBB review directed at my business. I was also concerned that information I had provided during the sales process was used in a way that made me uncomfortable. As someone who was attempting to extend a project worth more than $30,000 for a client, professionalism and trust were extremely important to me. A customer should be able to decide not to do business with a company without worrying about retaliation, harassment, or having their information mishandled. I have since updated my rating because I reached out directly to Sol-Up's COO, who responded promptly and professionally. I truly appreciate the time he took to address my concerns, and his response demonstrated the level of customer service I had hoped to receive from the beginning. This review is not intended to discourage others from doing business with Sol-Up. Rather, I sincerely hope the company addresses situations like this through additional training and oversight. My experience raised concerns about how customer information is handled and how complaints are managed. If I felt uncomfortable after sharing only basic contact information, it naturally made me wonder how other sensitive information, such as a home address or financial details, would be safeguarded. I genuinely wish Sol-Up and its leadership the best, and I hope future customers receive the professional, respectful experience they deserve.

This establishment is a sloppy, double-charging rip-off!…read more Do Not Use Them! There are many other options out there! I contracted HH because I have seen them throughout the resort doing work on other rigs. I should have spoken to my neighbors and/or read their Yelp reviews before calling, but I scheduled an estimate to replace a worn awning on my 28ft travel trailer. After the estimator arrived, I was quoted a price just under $800 for parts and labor, but i failed to get it in writing. They came out the following week with the new awning and proceeded to remove the old one. Somehow, the torsion spring assembly broke. This was strange to us because we tested the awning motor and the spring and the old one opened and retracted without problems. They also discovered that the LED light strip was loose and they recommended replacement, so I approved that as well. Another week went by and somehow, my estimate went from $800 to $1380! I didn't understand how additional parts totaling less than $325 equated to a $600 increase! I was frustrated but I agreed to the updated price and once again, I failed to get it in writing. Though I was frustrated with HH, I was still trying to trust that they would do right by us. Boy was I wrong! The work was finally completed the following week, and I received an invoice for nearly $2200! This was supposed to be an $800 job taking two hours, but the invoice showed .5 hours for the estimate, which was fine. They then charged 3 hours (two workers) to remove the old awning, but stopped work when the torsion arm broke and the damaged LED strip. This was fine. But when they returned with the proper parts, they charged an additional 3 hours even though most of the work was already done! They were trying to charge me 5.5 hours of labor for a two hour job! They were resetting their work time with every trip to our site. I spoke to the rep on the phone and complained about the amount. He first asked if i was a vet, and that I could get a military discount. He then magnanimously offered a $600 discount, which I rejected. I demanded a return to the originally agreed upon estimate of $1380 and not a penny more. It took a couple of days, but the rep finally met my demand, and when I then asked for my military discount, he declined to award it as I already "saved" $900 on the "labor" they took off the invoice! To make matters worse, the persons who did the work left a mess on the site after they finished! We found nails, ripped pieces of the old fabric and some rubber material littered throughout the site! These guys are crooks. and they screwed with the wrong veteran. Moral: talk to your neighbors before calling an rv repair person, and if nothing else, consult Yelp! 1/3 of HH's reviews on Yelp are 2 or less. That's not coincidence.
