We had our pool pump calibrated (free service from NVE). Celestial was very responsive to the request, scheduled as a few days later, technician Dennis showed up on time (with a 15 minute 'warning'). I was expecting to be talked into costly changes or repairs that had to be made but nothing like that. Had a $5000 system put in. The main installer didn't speak English and his helper was 2 weeks new on the job. Just called to try to get some help on how to bypass the system so I can run my pool with my gas heater since I can't figure out how to turn the solar off or get it to continuously run it just turns off and on constantly. No one can help me over the phone apparently the wait for phone support is longer than the week long wait for an in person service to happen. What a complete joke. Can't take 2 minutes to say "here's how to bypass the system so you can enjoy the pool since we are unable to assist you" lol based on this experience I wouldn't bother using this company. Note: I considered giving 4 stars. My job was a replacement of a solar panel, repair of a joint and tightening of the connecting braces. The team did a great job. They were on-time, professional and fast. The leaks are fixed. The lost star would have been due to being given a bit of a runaround on scheduling. They said they couldn't put me on because the two week schedule wasn't ready and they would call me to let me know when the next schedule opened up. Two weeks went by and they never called. I called them and they apologized and put me on the schedule. Gave the full five stars because they were apologetic and got me in quickly after I called them back. read more

The bad and then the good... Got a text at 7:30am that Arturo was on his way. He didn't show up until around 9:30am and I wasn't able to be there. He was done when I got home but I was bummed to see he installed an ugly pipe right on the front of my roof in plain sight, pipes were labeled incorrectly, some pipes on the roof were still white and not painted, and there was no drain/spigot for winterizing as discussed. I hate micromanaging and always want to trust things will get done the right way. The owner and Rosie were great and sent Victor out the very next day. Victor is my hero. He listened and moved the ugly pipe, made sure pipe labels were corrected, installed a drain pipe/spigot, and painted everything the way it should've been done the first time. They got 5 stars because I can't ding them when they immediately made things right and are always so responsive. Please give Victor a raise (ha!) - he was so nice and happy to make me happy and Rosie was great to deal with. read more

Had this company come out last year to do work on my solar. They came out for two minutes. Said they tightened everything and it should be working fine. It continued to leak all summer long even after they came out a second time. Tried giving them a second chance this summer. They come out and said my system is completely broken and there's nothing they can do for it besides replace the panels. A week later I got a $185 service fee for them to do nothing. Okay, so I'm a huge proponent of posting honest and thorough reviews. I use reviews when making decisions, so if everyone gives everything 5 stars, then a 5 star review is worthless. I am updating my initial 1 star review to 2 stars to reflect the company's follow through on their product. My initial, unedited, review is below: Our patio is so ugly after their installation of a solar heater. I went with this company based on their positive reviews. The first time they left my patio with a chunky dark grey mound of quickcrete and the installer couldn't tell me anything about how the system worked, how to turn it on, or how to tell if the pool was heating up. I received multiple calls telling me to pay the balance in full and that they'd fix the patio later. They finally sent someone to fix the patio and it looks better, but is still completely mismatched from my patio and a giant eye sore. And we have still haven't had anyone walk us through this new $3000+ system. It's clear that the work is subcontracted out with no oversight and I regret using this company. ****Update There was a huge disconnect between the training of the employees doing estimates versus the employees who actually installed the system. The employee doing the install couldn't explain the product, or how to use it after it was set up, and that's what caused the majority of our later issues. That being said, Celestial Solar did back their product up and were available to troubleshoot the heating system by text, phone, and eventually, in person. It did take quite a lot to get the patio looking somewhat normal, and I'm still not happy with the low quality patio repair, but that's a minor portion of the overall job. Overall, the system works as intended. It had some setting issues initially that are all now resolved. We have been able to get our small pool up to a max of 85 degrees so far (it's now May) and that's made a significant impact in our family's use of the pool. Would I go with them again? I don't think so. I shouldn't have had to fight so hard to get very obvious issues addressed. Prior to being in the military, I would have been too conflict-averse to keep pushing for corrections which was the only reason anything was touched up. There's too little oversight in this company, and for that, I can't give them more than 2 stars. read more

Since moving in, there's been a passive solar heating system on my pool that's been nothing but trouble. Leaks, detaching from the roof, flailing about in the wind, just a mess. To make things worse, it was on an east-facing part of the roof, so the heating effect, when working, was negligible. I contacted Celestial Solar for removal. Jason, using overhead imagery, was able to provide me with an estimate as well as options if I wanted a better heating solution. I went forward with the removal and scheduling was fast - I agreed to the proposal on a Wednesday and the very next Monday Victor showed up to do the work. He was very thorough with removal, clean up, modifications to the plumbing, and system test for leaks. If not for the absence of the big black flapping junk on the roof I wouldn't have even known he'd been here. Fast, efficient, professional - highly recommend for this type of service. read more

About three years ago, we had Celestial Solar install our Solar Water Heating system for our swimming pool. Other than some scrap materials from the old system left on the ground. It appears to have been a good job. For the first year we had a pool service company that appeared to know how to turn it on and off for summer and winter but then we changed to another service company that seem to not know what they were doing with it and was making strange sounds whenever the pumps would shut off, so in this last year we had Celestial Solar do the summer settings which seemed fine and then they came out to do the winter settings. The guy took about 10 minutes and it has been making strange sounds ever since. He did that about two months ago. We have been off and on out of town for about a month and a half of those two months as a result we've only noticed the consistency of the noise in the past couple weeks when I let Celestial Solar know of the problems, they said that Would have to pay an additional service fee of $185 to have the guy come out and correct the mistake that he made. I highly recommend that if you need services from this company you look into other companies first. read more

I would give Celestial Solar a 10 if that was possible. My wife and I live in North Las Vegas. Our house was completed three years ago, and we moved forward with installing a pool right after it was built. We thought the pool water would be warm all the time with the Vegas heat. Nope! Not at all. Except for a few weeks in August the water was maybe 79 degrees on average. That's fine for jumping in and out but not for floating around or spending time inside the pool. That's too cold. So, we called Celestial Solar and Ben Nef came out to meet with us. He did the estimate for solar panels on our roof. Our pool is 12 x 18 with the maximum depth of 5 1/2 feet, so Ben proposed five 4x12 panels. After months of delays dealing with our HOA, we finally got the green light. Celestial Pool came out and in two days they were done. When the temperatures hit the 80s last week, we fired it up. OMG!!! Within a few hours our pool water was 85 degrees. Right now, it is 89 degrees. Our pool water is 2 degrees warmer than the current outside temperature! Absolutely amazing! Before the solar panels were added our pool season started about mid-May, but the water was still in the 70s most of the time. Now it's the beginning of April and the water is in mid-80s or higher. The last couple of years we stopped using the pool the first week of October, now we will most likely be in the water until November. Solar pool panels are a game changer for anyone in Las Vegas who is not satisfied with the temperature of their pool water or want to extend their pool season, and Celestial Solar should be at the top of your list for solar companies in the Las Vegas area. read more

We have been pleased with their service, from the receptionist when we call in, their scheduling, servicing, etc. Celestial will text to let you know of the time window and date they are coming, with a name from the company - in our case it was Ely A. They will text when they are on their way to your house with their arrival time. Rafael U. was our repair man - He sends a picture of himself, so the homeowner knows who to expect. I like that!!! Feels safe. Rafael U. tightened all our joints and replaced a solar panel. Done quickly and efficiently --in and out! When completed the homeowner receives a text message for the completion. Had set up appt to check out my solar pool panels due to massive leaking. Not only are panels bad but valves are shot as well. Two techs arrived and showed me pictures of the damage on a 20 year old system. I was hesitant to let them leave as when pump is running I must lose a minimum of 20-30 gallons of water. They offered to "handcuff" the system which would not let water go through system and then drained existing water out. I was expecting the photos of damaged panels but I did not get these. I have not gotten a replacement bid yet but only 2 days have transpired since inspection. I am hopeful this is reasonable. read more

We have been a long standing customer with Celestial (over 10 years). We have had the worst experience with them this year! Not sure if there have been management changes or what but we prepaid for our spring service months ago, when they finally scheduled our service it was weeks away, then the day of the scheduled service they rescheduled it 4 times. I never receive confirmation that they came by and our home cameras showed that they didn't, so I followed up and was lied to about multiple things: first, that they came by at all (not on camera feed so they were never there); then they said they couldn't access the backyard after I specifically gave them instructions at the time of the appointment booking plus I was home and saw/heard no one); lastly they said they tried to call and my call log says otherwise (and of course not voicemail, text or email either). I am still waiting for a manger to call me back - again lack of service and attention. Highly disappointed - do not recommend this company!!!!! read more

Great experience with an even better product from an outstanding company. After being delayed by winds on my installation day, they found a way to fit me into their already busy schedule the next day, which saved my weekend plans. As for the system, Im blown away. The job was finished at 1:00 on Friday with my water temp at 67 degrees. By 5:00 it was at 86 degrees. Saturday the system came on at 8:00 and now at 4:00 its at 92, where its been since I turned it off. Im really surprised at how efficient it is and my gas bill stays the same.
