Very organized. Very professional. We had our house exterior painted with Coolwall paint. Pricing is higher in the short run, cheaper in the long run, which is what I tend toward. The larger cost of painting is the prep work. Scraping, sanding, and pressure washing away old paint. Sanding, patching, and other prepping of the wood, stucco, etc. All before the first drop of paint is applied. That process is labor intensive and needs to happen regardless of the paint used if a good result is desired. How skilled the team is at prepping the work is every bit as important, probably more so, as how well they brush paint your trim. Using the more expensive far longer lasting Coolwall paint then pays for itself by not having to repeat the prepping costs for a longer time. Not to mention longer before having to deal with the mild inconvenience created by any contractor doing any job for you around your house, regardless of how friendly, polite, and considerate. The entire team at SunTrust is very professional. Skilled. Polite. Friendly. Considerate. You might have some consideration they haven't thought of. Just mention it to the team lead and they'll try to work it out. This is a business that wants you to be happy with the result. They want you to do a walkthrough of the job with them as they're nearing the end and point out any concerns you might have. They'll work to address them. On my walkthrough I thought the job was overwhelmingly well done, however there were some areas where I thought the wood hadn't been prepped as well as it should. The team lead didn't even question it or try to explain it away. He simply marked it, and he completely redid that area. Not just adding more paint. He spent a few hours re-sanding and re-prepping before starting over on the painting. That's the sign of a true professional. Everyone makes mistakes. Professionals own-up to the mistake and fix it. So because everyone makes mistakes, make sure you do the walkthrough with them and point out what you see. They want you to do that. The company also does a quick follow-up interview with you asking how you rate the different areas of your experience with the company, and any recommendations you have for them moving forward. That's a company that's interested in providing a quality experience to their customers. Abel, Brooklyn, and Pat in the office deserve recognition for their professionalism and friendliness. NOT BBB ACCREDITED. BBB rating of D+ Disappointing, mistakes and ongoing unfinished repairs since February 2024. February 2024 I signed a contract with Suntrust for a roof repair, A portion of the roof over my garage had some wood rot under the tiles and fascia areas needed repair. The original contract stated lift and reset garage roof, and install new underlayment. Remove old and install seamless gutters along with 2 downspouts. Gutters to match existing brown gutters. Project was supposed to take 3 days for roof. It is now November 2024 The original contract had the gutters over the garage area to be removed and replaced. It took FIVE REPAIRS for the roof to be done correctly and that was only because I caught several mistakes that had to be corrected. The roof kept showing signs of leaking. The first repair had uneven underlayment that I had to insist they correct. ( I will attach photos) Workers would show up without a work order asking me what they were supposed to do. This was ongoing even with all of the multiple roof repairs and rescheduling and time off work. Addendums were added to include the side of the house then eventually the entire house to be done as the continuity of the gutters were important. I had paid the company in full for the roof repair on May 2024. To this date, the gutters over the garage were NEVER replaced . When the company sent the gutter repair people they showed up with the wrong gutter color. Another time they didn't have a ladder that would reach the second floor. So once again time off for a job not started. The salesman then came back to once again in July to confirm the correct color with me. As of November there has been no response to my emails with regard to finishing what I paid for. It is unfortunate that companies like this cannot backup what they are selling . The salesman is very nice and supportive, but unfortunately once you sign the contract, you must stay vigilant and monitor all the work. read more

I was approached by a member of their team one day since my roof had a tarp on it because it was leaking from the current rain going on. I had a few companies bid on a new roof already and was going to make a decision soon. The man was nice and very knowledgable and courteous. He gave me an estimate of ranges and options. All of them very competitive with my other bids. I let the man know the price was a bit more than one of the bids I had on hand and I was leaning toward the lower bid at this time. The man, Eric, I think his name is, said he understood and asked if I had time to meet and discuss things with his manager to see if they can lower the innitial price and or match the competitor. I said sure why not. A day later I got a follow up call and schedule a meeting with him. Dustin met me with a firm handshake and a kind demeanor. He retook the measurements of my roof, talked in depth about the products they would be putting in, walked me through their process, and talked about why their choice of materials would be a better choice for my home. And this is key, he never once pressured me into anything or tried to sell me on anything. He simply laid out the facts for me so i could easily understand them and patiently answered my questions. My concerns were acknowledged and laid to rest when Justin explained the process, warranties, and other things I had brought up. Needless to say I will be working with Suntrust for my roof because of Justins attention to my questions, great communication, and the rest of their teams communication with me. (None of the other companies even bothered with a follow up phone call) They have made me feel less stressed about this situation and I am looking forward to getting the new roof. Overall great experience with the contractor. Had a electric fireplace installed and tile to fill the entire wall. To start there were a few visits so everyone could understand expectations, scope and talked through any challenges. Having a project manager on site is a unique thing in the world of construction projects but one we certainly appreciated. The original duration was set for four days but it ended up taking five. In the grand scheme of things there was no need to rush and the attention to detail was worth the time. This is something the contractor took pride in. There were a few different faces to come and help with the project throughout the five day project and again it was appreciated since there were design choices and conversations that were had that helped put this project at the 10/10 it deserves. The project manager at site was a younger guy and was very encouraging, positive and upbeat as well as helpful to his staff. He helped pick tile so we didn't have to go to the store and ensured everyone had what they needed. The project manager also ensured the garage was well cleaned and dusted where they cut the tile so I only had to do minor touch ups after. Only a little constructive feedback to give. Would like to see everyone cutting tile have eye wear and maybe have some additional supplies ready at site like paper towels and cleaner to ensure all is set at end of job. Would also expect all sub contractors to have their own ladder. It was nice to see a company that was organized, well-priced, clean and efficient as well as ensured customer feedback was there during the entire project. We will definitely use them again in the future and recommend them wholeheartedly. read more

We were in need of a new roof just due to its age and shopped around 4 quotes before deciding on SunTrust Remodeling. In short, we felt SunTrust offered the best warranties on their product and labor at a reasonable price. While not the lowest quote we received, we felt SunTrust was more open and upfront about their costs and how they would calculate unknown future costs (like potential damage to wooden panels underneath the tiles that would need replacing). Adam, our point of contact, was very friendly, professional and knowledgeable in his explanation of their materials and installation process. We had concerns about the timing of project completion, but Adam was quick to call around with his team and was able to provide a shorter time window for project completion. And in fact, Adam and his team finished early, only taking 5 days from start of project, one of those days being a city inspection date. We're very happy with our new roof, and due to the quality of their work and reasonable pricing, we are considering using them for other upcoming projects as well. We are so happy with our paint, stucco & new fascia work. I was especially concerned about whether several replacement wood siding strips would be installed properly, but the guys did a great job & it looks like new. We had the stucco portion of the house re-floated, refreshed, and several sections repaired. The crews we had were great & easy to work with. Jose, the foreman and Miguel the lead guy listened to my concerns, suggestions & questions (and I had quite a few!), and never made me feel like I was a pain in their necks. They were respectful, accommodating, careful, experienced, and so easy to work with - this is almost the most important thing for me when working with contractors. And finally, the whole process got started with our meetings with Delano & Jensen, our sales guys. These guys were a real pleasure to work with. Travis came by to see if we needed any work done on our house. We talked to him about needing some wood work being replaced, painted and put up on each side of the houses. After talking about painting the house and replacing some wood, we decided to replace all 11 windows first instead. We had the original windows so they were single paned. They gave us a great deal and were very happy with Travis.. They came out 3x to measure the windows to make sure they would fit perfectly. They arrived about 11 am and had all 11 windows in by 3 pm. They looked amazing !!! They moved any furniture that was in the way and put it back when the window was fully installed. There was no mess and we could not believe how quickly they had each window installed. The noise from outside is barely heard from the inside now. We would highly recommend this company to do any kind of remodeling. They are reasonably priced; explain everything they are going to do on your project, the crewmen are hardworking and do a wonderful job. Suntrust was doing some canvasing in our neighborhood, and we decided to give them an opportunity to give us an estimate. Two men showed up on time and took measurements of our roof. The next day, Adam showed up with his full presentation, complete with samples, and what to be aware of when looking for a contractor. Adam gave a "Cadillac" presentation. We were blown away by his honesty and his willingness to share pertinent information. We weren't ready to make a decision that day. We could tell he was a little crushed, but we told him he was definitely at the top of our list. After listening to a few more presentations, we made a decision to work with Adam and SunTrust. Due to the amount of rain we've had the last couple of rainy seasons, we wanted to see if the roof was salvageable or if it needed to be replaced.
