Afterwards I went down street. There was no work going on down there. I wanted all my siding removed and replaced but he said they would patch and paint it. I suspect if I hired them they would not have removed the damaged shingles. I just did not feel comfortable. We didn't end up going with SunTrust so this review is just based on their sales pitch. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was not comfortable with their sales pitch at all. It was like talking to a bad car salesman.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They spent hours pitching us and told us a bunch of half truths and outright lies, like acrylic paint is illegal to sell in California (it's offered and sold by all the big paint brands) and that their paint would make our house 40 degrees cooler (the claim from the paint supplier is that it reduces paint surface temperatures by 40 degrees not indoor temps)[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]To top it off, we referred them to our neighbor for a quote and they told our neighbor we committed to SunTrust even though we hadn't.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The quote was super high and only makes financial sense if you believe their claims that it will last 50 years and that they'll warranty it for that long. We checked out their recent work at another house in our neighborhood and it didn't even look that good. The paint was so thick that it looked like they wrapped their house in vinyl. It was bubbling in some spots so it didn't look like the wood would be able to breathe. Bad experience. Would not recommend. read more

We needed someone to address a few leaks we had discovered since moving into our new home. Victor connected us with Adam, and together they offered us a great deal. Our previous roofer had gone out of business, leaving us in a difficult situation despite still being under warranty. Adam and Victor thoroughly explained their entire process and how the warranty would work in case any issues arose in the future. Initially, they mentioned that the work would be completed before Thanksgiving break, but with the holidays approaching, we were concerned that the project might be postponed until after the holidays. Read Before Hiring SunTrust (Very Very Bad Experience) 1. Document everything you need, like wood repair or stucco; they will charge you up to a 1/3 markup, or more than your quote, after they power wash your house. 2. You never get consistent, honest work from the crew. You know you are in trouble when they ask you for cleaning rags and bottled water. I later read someone else's review on different review where they requested McDonald's and soda for lunch, and showed their attitude. 3. They don't encourage painting a small color sample on your house before getting approval to start the job. 4. They leave dirty rags and sponges on expensive digital equipment. 5. They treat your home like it's a movie set. What you can't see without using a ladder, they want paint. 6. They did not take sufficient care to protect my outdoor lights, window frames, and the concrete outside my house. 7. We contracted Suntrust to paint the wood sidings and eaves on our house. When the crew hydroblasted the eaves, they also did the paint around the windows and garage doors. However these area were not painted along with the rest of the agreeed upon area. When we questioned Abel, the project manager after completion about this, he said it wasn't in the contract and "you can do it yourself". A few days ago I had a really nice and professional young man come by the door to explain about this company "SunTrust Remodeling" from Irvine who does home remodeling, repair, and other things home improvement related. He asked what things we're interested in and what home improvement ideas on the outside he had recommended. Then after a few mins we were able to set us up on a future consultation a few days later to have a person come in the house to better explain things and give us a quote when the person does come by. I explained to them that currently we may not be in the budget for the things we have in mind because we just had our roof replaced as well as the rafters/facias etc. They were okay with that. They confirmed with a phone call the same day to let us know what day and time works best for us to have them come. Anyways when that somebody did come by that's when we met "Travis S." who was absolutely professional, kind, courteous, and someone who we knew was a person who cares about addressing all your concerns about what things you want and need within the budget. He walked around and took some pictures, measurements, and walked us throughout our house to show some areas that need attention and what they will do to address them. Once he was done we scheduled another appointment for the quote so my cousin would be present with his wife to sit together with "Travis S" in a couple days which I don't mind. When the day came it was late evening because that is what time we agreed when my cousin and his wife would be free after their walk, dinner, and work. Again we met with Travis, myself, my cousin, and my cousin's wife was too afraid and shy to meet Travis. Travis was so friendly and we appreciated him taking the time to discuss, talk about his company SunTrust, the material for the paint which is what we were first interested in doing.
